We haven't been to a Panera Bread for quite a while. Somewhere along the way we won a Panera gift card and saved it to use on this trip. This location is conveniently right off the Interstate along our route so it was calling to us. We walked inside and everything looked clean and inviting with friendly greetings and no pressure to hurry up and order while we studied the menu. We decided to order Coffee and two Breakfast Wraps - Egg White Mediterranean for my wife and Maple Glazed Bacon Egg and Cheese for me. At $4.99 each the size seemed a bit small, but the taste was very good. I might order it again sometime. I'm usually more into a Bagel Breakfast Sandwich but really wanted to try their Wraps. Amazing food everytime. I don't branch out much because the things I've tried are so good. I'm a big soup lover so I always come here if I'm sick or hungover. Definitely a bit pricey but for fresh ingredients and healthier foods than typical fast food I'd say it's worth it. read more

Ordered 3 bagels sliced and toasted through the kiosk with a few other items. Brought food out to RV to eat and noticed that the bagels were sliced but not toasted. I realized I had forgotten to order a different bagel with cream cheese so I went back in to order. This time I went up to the manager at the register and asked it they no longer toast the bagels. She said yes, unless it is a big order? Ok. Lazy employees? So I order 2 more bagels toasted and as the manager was putting them into the bag, she seemed surprised to find something else in the bag. She switched bags and when I asked what the issue was, she said that food keeps falling off her fingers. Maybe time to change the gloves...? We had a great experience getting the Tuesday special on bagels (13 for $7.99) and using a reward. On top of that I had a $20 gift card to figure out. The manager (and trainer) helped the counter girl work through the process with us. And they let us pick the bagels we wanted which is not the norm in Boise for getting the Tuesday Deal. Also had a reward for 1/2 off a pastry item. Giving 5 stars to counter some of the negative reviews from the branch covidians with their armchair industrial hygiene degrees. read more

This place was absolutely insane! The staff were trying to close 30 minutes early on a Friday night in Rapid City!! There's sports going on and lots of traveling. I have to say, Panera is Panera. Expensive and not all that great. I had a gift card or I would never pay their prices. Salads are small and too much price wise. The service was meh. If you order in the mobile app, you can at least avoid the unhelpful staff. The manager was run off her feet and not particularly helpful. You have to get your own take out containers which means everybody and their mother is touching them. We ordered lunch which was $34 and some change. Positively outrageous prices. At least I had a $20 gift card. Asked to buy a loaf of sliced bread clearly on racks behind the cash registers and was told they were for the kitchen. The cashier pointed to a very meager selection of bread available and said I could buy one of those. I've never seen a Panera nearly out of bread at 11:45 in the morning. Stopped for a late lunch. We were tired of fast food take out. Such a nice change. Good southwest chicken salad, wild rice chicken soup and chicken avocado sandwich. I like the iced tea selections. For Covid all the employees are masked, they have a plexiglass protector, every other table is closed and the sign says the tables are sanitized every 30 minutes. Terrible service. So slow. Out of everything - in the morning. We are staying in a hotel near this Panera. We have tried the drive thru two mornings around 8:30. One morning, they were out of coffee. Had to wait ten minutes for them to brew some. Then the next day tried again. Waited 15 min in the drive thru. We were the only car. Today. Went inside. So slow and inefficient. Plenty of staff. But they are poorly trained. One guy says to another staff member - "All this order needs is a hazelnut coffee, but I'm not supposed to be here yet so you can get it yourself." Just total sorriness. Stopped by on our cross country trek home. Ordered on the app for rapid pick up. It was ready, and accurate, when I picked up, 10 min later. Very fresh and delicious! I've been a long time fan of Panera and was excited when this location opened in Rapid. Up to this point, any visit has been wonderful and the restaurant has been clean. This was such a relief from fast food. We were able to find parking for the RV and the person taking our order was able to keep up with a very complicated order for 4 people who hadn't eaten at a Panera in a long time. They got the order perfect and the food and drinks were delicious. My husband said the Turkey Bacon BLT was delicious and wants to go back for two more "for the road." The grilled cheese had a lot of bread and not much cheese but, other than that, every bite was perfect from the soup and the sandwich to the salad and the cookies. We'll be back! read more

So they do social distancing (yeah right) an employee pushed past us and a few other people, among other things that made social distancing a joke. They do make people wear masks which is also a joke because when you are seated eating you can take them off and people are walking by (NOT 6ft away). Plus we had to clean our table off. Less tables so you can "social distance" (looks good on paper I guess) but NO ONE cleaning off tables in between guests....so so much for that part of being "safe". Training a new employee who was standing by one of the two cash registers they had open. Poor management, have the trainee clean tables during the rush and train when it slows down....not rocket science. Our soup was cold and really thin. Super helpful, super patient, great customer service! He found out that my husband was sick, and so kindly and carefully up sold me on chicken noodle soup. I love Panera but we waited for our pick up order for about 20 minutes and we were the only car outside. We tried calling 3 different times. Got ahold of a super nice woman who works for corporate I assume and even she couldn't get ahold of anyone inside of the store. This is place is a great, clean and welcoming environment to be in. The food is great, not greasy like a fast food restaurant, but not as expensive as a sit down. It's a great middle ground for something healthy to eat. The employs are nice people and are very helpful, haven't had a bad experience here. Their baked goods are amazing and taste fresh. Panera is Panera... no surprises on the food, which is consistently good. We enjoyed our take-away order back at our local hotel, although they muffed one detail. We asked for a piece of multi-grain bread for my wife's salad entree but we found a white bread baguette in the bag instead. No big woop... all their bread is good. But I had been very specific in ordering on the phone. My turkey-avocado melt sandwich was excellent. But here's a major gripe: my order had been phoned in and I arrived to pick it up. But just as I arrived, a group of four young ladies went through the door I held open for them (always the gentleman.) But before they reached the counter, I said to the lady at the register (and another employee who was standing with her), "I'm just picking up my order." BUT THEY MADE ME WAIT WHILE ALL 4 OF THE YOUNG LADIES ORDERED AND PAID. They could have just quickly let me pick up my order and pay, since I was technically in line before them by having called in. But this delay took several unnecessary minutes that I had to wait. When I pointed this out to the two employees at the counter, I got no apology, just saying "they were here first."
