Oceanside is lucky to have this new addition, and even though I live in Carlsbad, I will be making the drive to enjoy this phenomenal food. The food was authentic, flavorful, and unforgettable. The incredible team in the restaurant were welcoming and kind, and you get the sense they want you to have an enjoyable experience. I recommend the Koh Soy, because it's a rare dish among Thai restaurants in the US, as it originates only from Northern Thailand. The Thai iced tea is ginormous and beyond worth it. I tried this restaurant today because most of the reviews made it sound worth trying, but it was not good. Previous reviews said the portions are generous, well that is not what I was served today. I ordered shrimp off the lunch menu in garlic pepper seasoning. I received exactly 4 shrimp on a bed of raw shredded cabbage next to steamed rice. My meal came with a small cup of soup, which was a really sour broth, the egg roll was greasy and the inside was mush, I couldn't eat it. The dumpling was ok. Thai Thai is a good option in the Oceanside area. I typically order take out but the inside is nice. Take out is always about 15 mins. I give it a 4 because it's good but not great. I typically go with chicken pad Thai add veggie spicy 6. Wife loves their green curry w chicken. And we usually get chicken fried rice for the youngster. They should have an option for no protein and it be cheaper. They charge the same as with protein which is weird but other than that it's good. Was hopeful because of the reviews about finding a good Thai place, but the pad kee mao was almost inedibly salty and the Tom yum was way too sweet. The thing that really put me off though was we are currently experiencing another huge surge of Covid cases in California and the waitresses weren't wearing masks- and one was trying to touch my baby daughter. Maybe it would've been a different review were we not in the middle of a pandemic with a baby, but I also saw their interactions with customers who ordered take-out and it was very frustrating to listen to. I would like to share my bad experience with this restaurant in Oceanside, CA. My husband and I and other two friends had dinner at this restaurant a week ago. We ordered Tom Yum soup and four of us ate the soup with no problem. I ordered salmon with vegetables and ginger sauce. I was disgusted after two bites of the salmon and vegetables, because I felt that there was something like a string stuck in my teeth, and when I pulled it out from my mouth, it was a black hair. So, I called the waitress and showed the hair to her that was in the salmon and vegetables. She immediately took my plate and replaced it with a new salmon and vegetable with ginger sauce. When the new food was handed to me, it was lukewarm and not very hot. I checked the food to make sure was cooked, but the salmon was still raw. It was so pink and vegetables were not fully cooked and were still very crispy. But I did not eat it because I felt nauseous. I told my husband that I didn't feel good and wanted to go home because I felt like throwing up. As soon we got home I drank green tea hoping that I might feel better if I drink the tea. But before finishing drinking the tea, I ran to the bathroom and threw up. Also, they only have one restroom both for men and women to use. They had only one server and the customer had to wait for a long time to get the order and the server was in a hurry to take our order. I called the following day to speak to the manager but he/she was not there so I left a message to call me back but nobody called. So I thought, okay then, I will just give my review with my experience with this restaurant. My husband and I will never go back to this restaurant again. I will give this restaurant a rating of one star!!! read more

When I moved from orange county to North county, I didn't expect a lot from the restaurants here for Asian food in particular. But somehow, the Thai restaurant here is one of the best I've had. The noodle based dishes we've tried are well done (standard pad thai and see ew), and the curries are really well made and flavorful (panang is my go to buy in trying other). The Tom kha soup is delicious. And the spice level seems to be a good range. Unfortunately i can't try higher because we usually share and only i like the very spicy. Even a 2 spice level has a good flavor profile, which is not always the case sadly.
