Hidden away in a cute alley-type plaza behind the Orange Circle. It's a cozy restaurant with about a dozen tables. On a Thursday night, it was busy with a full house, but table wait is not long. The Thai iced tea is creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The fried tofu appetizer was good served with a yummy sauce. The Pad See Ew was really good. Tender noodles with plenty of broccoli and the right amount of meat. To finish it off, our mango sticky rice was warm and delicious, but could have used maybe more mango. read more

One of my GO TO Thai restaurants! Staff and owner are so so friendly and the food is always top notch! Portions are great and the ambiance inside is nice and cozy and there's outdoor seating as well! However the ac is broken currently so it is a bit warm inside because I believe the AC is broken but, I recommend this place so much! I've worked in the circle for quite some time and finally tried Thai Towne. The food left such a great impression that I have no doubt I'll be back! I've tried several Thai places in Orange County looking for something like my go-to's in LA and this comes the closest. We ordered the pad see ew, egg rolls, pineapple fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and cream cheese wonton/ragoons. Would recommend it all but, if I HAD to choose, the pineapple fried rice was my favorite! Everything came out hot and flavorful. The service was neither excellent nor poor. The restaurant itself is tiny but still has a comfortable vibe. Overall, great first experience. I'll be back to try the curry. read more

Best Thai place in Orange. We went last night shortly before closing and ordered the Crying Tiger steak, chicken soup, coconut seafood soup and the grilled eggplant. All of them deserve more than 5 stars. We finished everything (which is rare for us). Their mango sticky rice and banana dessert are also excellent. And the customer service was great. We sat outside and the waiter and waitress were both very friendly and our food came out quickly. Highly recommend and love that they have plenty of tables outside as we are only going to restaurants with outdoor seating. read more

Amazingly horrible customer service. Just now sat down at the tables they have outside. The woman working was trying to wave me inside because she didn't feel like serving us outside, but we had our dog with us so that wasn't going to work. Finally she comes outside and before she even gets to our table, she's asking if we know what we want to order...the menus are still in HER hand, not mine. I told her we need a minute to look at the menu. She tells me to 'come inside when I'm ready to order'....huh?? Clearly she didn't really want our business today, and she certainly didn't get it. We walked to one of the many other better options in old town. Service people. Service. It's not that hard. Treat your customers like they're an inconvenience, and they won't come back. read more

My wife and I like to come here as often as we can, dine in or takeout both have never failed us. The food is amazing, spice levels seem perfect to me and the Thai curry options are crazy good. My personal favorite is the Panang curry and my wife's go to has been either the green or pumpkin curry. The drunken noodles usually end up making their way into my orders as well. If you have any space left, try the mango sticky rice dessert, hopefully you like it. Staff is always so nice and they always look like they are busting their butts to get things out on time. Maybe I'm biased because we tend to come here so often but this place is definitely an awesome choice to add to your go to list. read more

I was so excited to come here after my friends had recommended it to me. portions were smaller than any other thai restaurant i've been to. flavors were lacking and the food could have been hotter coming out. the crying tiger- such a disappointment. we came pretty much for that. it's advertised on the menu as marinated new york strip with chili oil. again- one of the smallest portions i've seen. not marinated. nearly no flavor and the sauce was not chili oil it seemed to be vinegar based. we expected more given it costs $22. such a let down! read more

Thai Towne is an adorable hidden little spot in Orange that boasts flavorful options, ranging from a creamy and delicious Thai Iced Tea to a mouth watering Pad Thai. I have to say that their version of Pad Thai is the best Pad Thai that I've ever had. I find myself constantly craving it - it always comes out hot, piping, and fresh, and is accompanied with the freshest of ingredients including egg and amazing veggies. The sauce that they use for it is unbelievably good. If you're in the area for lunch, make sure to head over to Thai Towne! They have a great lunch special, which includes a salad, main dish, and a crispy wonton. Bomb. The wait staff is extremely kind and attentive! Love Thai food and this place has some pretty good authentic style thai. My girlfriend and I ordered -Shrimp Tom Yum -Pad Thai -Yellow Curry rice -Kung Pao Chicken Everything was very tasty, cooked well and what we ordered could have fed 4-5 people. The food at this place is very mediocre. My chicken was overcooked and my pad Thai lacked flavor. This is the first time I've had pad Thai without peanuts or lime. I asked for spicy and it was completely bland. I'm not sure if they are catering towards a different demographic but I am appalled by their high rating. For my chicken stir fry, she gave me a to go box instead of a container and it ended up spilling in my bag. Super disappointing. Never again. read more

They were rude when you ask for more sriracha even though all of them were Literally not even filled and in the tiniest to go cup.
