Bang for the buck lunch is a great deal. The place looks like a time warp from the 90's that time warped from the seventies. We ordered the sweet and sour pork $10.50 .. served with steamed rice - the pork was large lightly battered pieces accompanied with large chunks of pineapple. The flimsy forks we were using had no chance of cutting the pork into smaller bits but our server brought a knife and that worked pretty good. The taste exceeded my expectations. I would order this dish again. Our other order was Kung Pao Delight $11.50 ... this dish is a nice spicy mix of thinly sliced beef, chicken, three little shrimps, chopped celery, zucchini slices, peanuts and diced carrots. A nice sized portion served with steamed rice. I wish I had just ordered the king pao chicken as the "shrimp" was not great... small and kind of funky? Easy to put aside. The plentiful beef strips were tender (a little chewy) but had a nice texture/flavor along with the rice. I really liked the chicken and that is how I will order it in the future. Lunch comes with thick egg drop soup served nice and hot. The way I like it. A crispy egg roll and cream cheese wonton that was really good as I dipped it into the accompanying sweet/sour sauce and hot Chinese mustard (comes with a little plate of fried noodle bits) - always a hit with me. The hot jasmine tea was very good as well. The old school menus could use a little cleaning but what the heck - I'm not eating off them! My question to myself is always will I come back again? We started with cream cheese wontons and got orange chicken and crispy walnut shrimp for our entrees. Dishes came with steamed rice. Cream Cheese Wontons- Crunchy and hot outside with a generous amount of creamy, oniony filling. Served with a sweet and tangy sauce. Great appetizer! Orange Chicken- Chicken has crispy batter and the orange sauce is the perfect blend of citrusy and savory. Perfect paired with rice. Crispy Walnut Shrimp- Shrimp is fresh and fried to perfection. First time trying Orange Blossom and grabbed takeout close to closing. Everything came out hot and portions were generous, which I always appreciate. The shrimp with lobster sauce was easily the standout, best dish of the night and the one I'd order again. The rest (orange chicken, Mongolian beef, lo mein, wontons) was good, just not quite great! Parking is shared with nearby businesses, including a bar, so just be aware of your surroundings. Shoutout to the staff for the complimentary potstickers. Nice touch and great customer service. My new go-to Chinese spot! Delicious food, great pricing, and attentive service. This location definitely has "small family owned" business vibes. I came in with a group for lunch, and to my surprise there was only one other group Dining. The lunch special is a great value and includes an entree (many options to choose from), soup, rice, wonton, and egg roll. The entrees I tried were: Mongolian beef, chicken chow mein, and honey walnut shrimp (which I ordered off of the dinner menu). Everything was delicious and had great portion size. It's hard to choose a favorite because everything was well flavored. (5/5) Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful. (5/5) walnut honey shrimp and perfect crisp and crunchiness, and great flavor that was slightly tangy. (5/5) chicken chow mein had a little thicker noodles, but was delicious. I have an issue though with eating just white steamed rice and I asked if I could pay for fried rice or have something else because of the fact that eating just steamed rice will make me sick. As soon as I walked in I noticed the walls covered with Yelp awards and recognitions, and for good reason. I ordered the Special for One with Kung Pao mixed with steak, chicken, and shrimp. Service was great during lunch, but it was less busy. I've been wanting to try this little mom and pop restaurant for a long time. I'm so glad we got to stop in. I love little Chinese restaurants like this, not super fancy or "fusion", just good, delicious Chinese food, very retro. The Mongolian beef and walnut chicken were excellent! If this is the restaurant that I think it is it's in a little strip mall in the corner and it's kind of old school and it's really good. They don't make them like they used to. I mean all of those Chinese places that are served on the steam plate where you pick and make a two or three plate combo are okay and sure they might be less expensive actually not really everything seems to have gone up since COVID hit and they never went down with the price on anything no matter what it is. But back to what I was saying, this place has really good food and I love all the old-fashioned dishes that they made when my parents used to take us to those traditional Chinese restaurants when we were kids in the '70s. And to think I used to look at the food and say I didn't like it and I never really tasted it. Everybody else got the pleasure of enjoying the great food and my foolish self was the baby and I wanted McDonald's. Go figure? Thank God I finally tasted sweet and sour pork and the rice and that's what got me on the journey of wonderful Chinese food. What's funny is I watch these shows that show the real Chinese food in China and it's nothing like the Chinese food in America. I love the chow mein that's actually with the rice noodle instead of the lo mein noodle. It has like a roasted taste because they take the cabbage and stir fry it with the noodle and veggies. I don't know if they serve it at this restaurant but they actually make the chop suey and that's the way my mom made chow mein with chicken or pork and that is excellent. My dad used to get the sizzling rice soup with the shrimp and beef and chicken I think and that's good too. Just check it out and if it's in that little strip mall across the street from a small taco shop and it's kind of in the corner of that strip mall then you're at the right place. Check it out on Google first. And if you walk in and it's not as busy don't let that fool you because most people get their orders to go. The seats are all red like the old school restaurants. It was good, but this place was small and had no Windows and had only one server. Looked more like a private storage room. Smelled musty. No one to greet you or check you in. I think our server also was the cook. A lot of seniors were coming in. If you like private, then this is your spot. But our servings were good. It's just enough no extra. I used to come to Orange Blossom as a child with my parents ALL the time and I wouldn't be able to say the name of the food I wanted so when I would say, "I want to eat at Cathy's!" my parents would know exactly what dinner would be for that night. Cathy is the owner and super sweet. I was pleasantly surprised to see her still running things when we ate there for dinner. It was very nostalgic to be back because it had been over 20 years since I had step foot in Orange Blossom. Cathy remembered my family and it was very sweet to relive some special moments with her. The FOOD here tasted as good as I remembered it to be, and even more! I love when eating certain food brings back good memories and that was the experience for me. We ordered 2 of the dinner specials, one came with Mongolian beef and the other was General Tso's chicken. The quality of the meat and taste was amazing. Not greasy at all and packed with flavor every bite. I love that the dinner specials come with a little bit of all your favorites like an egg roll, cream cheese wonton, fried dumpling, shrimp tempura, wonton soup, special fried rice, and the main dish. On the side we ordered the special pan fried noodle which is what my family would always order growing up and it's super nostalgic for me. The noodles are half crispy , half soft, and you mix it all together to get a good crunchy, soft texture in each bite. Hit this place for the first time. It's located in a fairly ugly building. You walk in and there are no windows /natural light in the restaurant The food was decent and prices were fair. The service while friendly but was super slow to the point it was not fun to eat there. In served did the whole restaurant. In fact they would disappear so long I wondered if they were also the chef. I think if we ever go back it will be take out only as the service and ambience was hugely lacking. That said we saw a number of people picking up food and nothing was ready on time as well so they had huge waits. so be forewarned on that front as well. read more

Atmosphere was lonely, the lady who helped us was pretty friendly though. I got the beef fried rice but I would not recommend getting it. Bummer-disappointed with my dish. Ordered sweet n pungent shrimp. Shrimp was frozen-not fresh. Not even coated in cornstarch-it was boiled or microwave. Broccoli taste frozen-not fresh, too mushy.Waaay too much sauce-all spilled out the the container. It was just a messy bag. Sauce looks like it came from a jar.
