Walked by here on the way to the cafeteria near work - decided to take a chance since I'd never seen this truck around campus before. Despite the pouring rain the menu looked too good to pass up - I love spicy fried chicken dishes! Volcano chicken and potstickers came out perfectly crisped, and I promptly doused them w/ selections from their mini sauce bar. Cashew chicken was excellent as well - there's something unique about the flavor here which will have me coming back again. I could really taste the sesame seed oil stir fried into the veggies, which was great. They were also great about subbing in some extra steamed veggies/salad in place of rice (which always puts me into food coma immediately). Best of all though - A+++ for service. I didn't realize they were cash only, so had to cancel my Cashew chicken order. When they called me up to the window they handed me my full original order saying it was on the house! Maybe I just looked really malnourished or something?? But anyhow kudos! Will def. recommend to coworkers and be back for another round. read more

Played some tennis in W. Seattle, and decided to check out Thai-U-Up food truck. Ordered the garlic chicken, drunken noodles and fried spring rolls. All delicious and worth trying. Definitely will be back to try Pad Thai and other goodies. Stellar and friendly service :-) PS If you don't like too much sweetness in your food, I would probably not recommend the garlic chicken -- it was a bit on the sweeter side for me. read more

Simple and good Thai food in my neighborhood. Glad to have it. Been here twice and will go again. I've enjoyed their Pad Kae Mew, Panag curry, and Pad Thai, all great. My wife had the crispy garlic chicken once, and it was just OK, fairly salty. Another nitpick, the steamed rice both times was sub par, perhaps as they don't have a ton of traffic yet on Roxbury, and they keep one cooker full all night. Still great place. Even though their truck is conveniently located near Roxbury Lanes in White Cetnter, It's pretty awesome that they deliver.. I definitely think more places should consider because this is totally my lazy sunday self talking xD they're pretty quick if you go there and order. Any deliver typically takes 45minutes since they need time to find the house and blah blah so no worries there. If you're a foodie though, consider this: crispy garlic chicken and the phad see ew. Delicious enough for a 100 lbs, 5 foot girl to finish in one sitting hehe phad thai on the other hand, is such a big portion that i can usually eat for dinner and than pack it for 2 lunches which is pretty rad. Great food truck and great location. Fast service, but you may want to order online during crunch time. Serving sizes are large and I frequently get to save some for lunch the next day. Great value for the dollar. We've had great luck with the following: * Spring Rolls * Pad Thai (chicken) * Volcano Chicken * Pad Kra Pao A little hit or miss on the spicing. A Thai food truck that delivers to my delivery lacking neighborhood? Sign me up! I've been meaning to order from this place for quite some time and finally had my chance tonight. Everything here seems completely on point to me: great food, great prices, and super convenient for my often lazy after work butt. To start, best potstickers I've ever had. Simply amazing and clearly homemade. Instant favorite and I'm kind of in love. I could easily fill a delivery order with just them, but then I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror for a while. Second, Panang curry. Great quality ingredients, perfect portion size, and super fresh with a great aroma. ... However as much as I loved it, this is the first time a two star meal has completely burned me out and been almost inedible to me. Which has made me incredibly sad. I'm sitting here taking bites as my mouth and stomach allows because it is just so good. The missing star is from this, because while thai food is spicy by nature, I'm not exactly a heat wimp and I would put this curry on par with a four star. Oh well, though, it happens. Can someone please explain all the 4/5 star reviews to me?? I've had the pad Thai here multiple times and it's always terrible. I get it, swear never again, then 4 or 5 months later forget. There's just nothing to it. No bean sprouts for texture, just a sprinkle of peanuts for looks, not enough meat for two meals. Just a pile of rubbery noodles. read more

This place used to be delicious and probably 6 months ago it started taking a brutal nose dive. I kept hoping it would get better again, but I just ordered from them for the last time. The last few times we've ordered from Thai U Up there's been something missing from our order and at least one dish has been unsatisfying. This time the Phad Thai was underseasoned and covered in burned-tasting oil. The spring rolls were undercooked and bland, and apparently they stopped including rice with most of their dishes, so now it has to be ordered on the side at an additional charge. We won't be ordering from here again. They finally hit the bottom of the culinary abyss. Take your money and your taste buds elsewhere. read more

For a food truck their Thai food is better than some restaurants I have tried. What I like is it never makes me feel sick or is super greasy. Everything is always hot and fresh. Their curry is a bit watery, but the flavor is deliciousss. I also really like their Tom Yum. Their pad kee mao is decent. I havent tried anything else. The main problem I have is that the portions are small for the price. So either the food needs to be tastier, the portions need to be bigger or the price needs to be lower. All of that being said I would recommend because a lot of the thai places in West Seattle are expensive overrated and inconsistent. read more

Keep up the great cooking and service Thia U Up! Go for a drive this weekend or any time and find out where they are located that day and go order food to go. Then take your self or family or friends to the park for a picknick with the Thai U Up food or a fun day. It will make your day. I was very excited to try a new Thai place that delivers. Unfortunately this was one of the worst meals I have had from any Thai restaurant. I ordered from the Eat24 app and the food arrive very quickly (which was a big plus) and the only reason why I gave two stars. I ordered Tom ka gai and it was very very thick and flavorless. It tasted like there was just coconut milk and chicken in it. I didn't taste the usual amazing flavors of the galgal, lemongrass, kefir lime leaves and such. They also used shredded carrots in that and the pad see ew and they used ALOT if them. My noodles were over run and it ruined the usual flavor of the pad see ew. Like I said, the only nice thing about this meal was the quickness in which my it was delivered. The down side was the food itself. I will not be ordering from this location ever again. Even the most mediocre Thai place has never been this bad. read more

You can find the Thai-U-Up food truck at South Lake Union during lunch hour during the week. Have been here for lunch a few times. What works - the food is good, the service is quick and efficient. What does not work - they accept only cash, they are a little too generous with their sauce. My go to here is the pad see eww and the kee mao. I order a spicy 5 and do not break a sweat so my guess is they have a very liberal spice meter. If you like spicy food go for a 4 or 5 spice level. read more

If you are fortunate enough to live within the delivery range of this restaurant, you are lucky, my friend. I order from these guys at least once a month. My favorite is the chicken fried rice with extra veggies. The portion is HUGE, and there are plenty of leftovers. I've had the Kee Mao Noodles, Pad Thai, and always order the Spring Rolls. The Garlic/Volcano chicken is a little salty but it's marinated before being friend so it comes with the territory. Order extra white rice to balance it out. I have no complaints about Thai-U-Up! The takeout containers are very sturdy, and I wash and reuse them for leftovers. Free Tupperware! Whether you call the restaurant or use Eat24.com, the delivery is fast, and the food usually arrives piping hot! I love that it is always in the same spot in the 76 station, and the service is fast and friendly. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! read more

Worst Thai ever. First off, they got my order wrong. I asked for Tom Kah Gai and got Tom yum instead. We also got chicken pad Thai which was overly tomato-pasty and not at all yummy. We also got the broccoli delight with chicken which was ok but cold. I will never order from here again. read more

This is Thai food I can eat quite often. Good clean flavors as well as variety. I eat mostly vegetarian and the nice couple that runs the truck is always happy to accommodate. Last night I had the Tom Kah soup. Love it! They also let me try a cinnamon(y) soup with hard boiled egg which I don't know its name which was excellent. I will have to order it next time... love having a place you can come back to time after time for some comfort deliciousness. Almost forgot, the prices are pretty great too! read more

The best Thai food in Seattle that I have tried so far. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the cute little truck a few months ago and ever since, we stop by to pick up dinner there one or two times a week! I ordered the phad thai with tofu and a thai ice coffee. phad thai was AMAZING. noodles were chewy! , sauce wasn't too sweet, and i love love love how they add the picked radishes in there! the sauce was the brown tamarind style that i really like. So far I've tried the Pad Thai, crispy garlic chicken, and panang curry. Panang curry is my go-to at Thai restaurants, but this one is a little bland. The pad Thai is great (however, I've never met a pad Thai I didn't like), but the crispy garlic chicken is AMAZING. I usually don't like chicken, but this is the best! It's crisp, never fatty, and full of flavor. Spring rolls and pot stickers are good, the pot stickers are a little heavier than I was wanting, but the spring rolls were great. Thai tea is also great, however it was a bit sweeter than it usually is at sit down places. The waits can get a little long (you can wait up to 15 mins if you go during the lunch rush) and they usually close early (their website says 2:00, but I've heard them tell people they're closed closer to 1:35). -1 star for the disappointing curry and closing early, but the garlic chicken makes it a worthy trip. read more

This is a pretty good spot for Thai food in the area. They have a limited but yet-standard menu. Pad thai- pad see eww- curry and some entree dish. That's it. You won't find any thing that is hard to pronounce here. Just your standard Thai food truck. I have tried both pick up and delivery from here, and I am very pleased with the food and service I got. Price and portion are decent. No leftovers tho-at least for my nineteen-year old cousin. Highly recommended spot for the area. read more

The food smells delicious and the name of the restaraunt attracted many friends and family members I knew. It made them curious on the bio of where they got the inspiration behind their name. Forget ordering from this place ever again. First and only time I will ever get food from here. We ordered cashew chicken which was actually tasty. The tom yum soup with chicken, which tastes like bad fish off the first bite, I almost puked. We also got the the golden chicken, no spice because you never know how places rate spice, and it's a normal 3 star heat for no spice. All in all will not order here again. read more

Did a simple order of pad thai and a side. The food wasn't ready when I came up to them, though I was a bit early. They told me it'll be ready in a few minutes. I waited on the side hoping they would let me know when it's ready. After a few minutes, I noticed they were handing people their order as they walked up. I found my order was sitting in a pile. They won't bag your food unless you stand right in front of them until they are ready. When I finally opened the pad thai, there was nothing but my choice of meat, noodles and a side of rice. Maybe it was because I didn't select the vegetable option when I ordered online? Just keep in mind when you order online. Otherwise the food is decent to fulfill any cravings. read more

My go-to for Thai food to go. I order here quite often for the convenience (my boyfriend lives 4-5 blocks away) and also for the taste. They make one of my favorite pad thai's. Spice here is out of 5 and is mostly accurate. I usually order a 4 out of 5 because I like my food pretty spicy. This truck can get pretty busy around dinner time so don't get upset if your food isn't done by the time you get there. Super convenient that you can order through eat 24 and it saves your order. Was my favorite place to order from ubereats. I have ordered the garlic chicken almost 10 times. Even bragged about it to friends and family. It's just my luck, that the day I order some for the fam, we end up getting two orders of chicken that is fried to the point of nearly being inedible. What happened? Did you guys get a new cook? First time going to this food truck and it was a hit! We ordered chicken pad Thai with #2 spicy and yellow curry same level spicy. The pad Thai was great! Loved the crunchy peanuts and you could definitely taste the fish sauce in this one. I had to cut the fishy taste with the lime but others might really like this flavor! The yellow curry was delish! It had real potatoes with the skin and the perfect amount of carrots and onions. We got tofu with the curry and I loved the soft texture of the tofu, as apposed to the over cooked texture of most dishes you find elsewhere. Next time I would like to try the crispy garlic chicken, the owner told me it's a favorite by far. They only accept cash or check so come prepared! Staff is really nice and even ran our order out to us into car so we didn't have to wait by the food truck window. read more

I got the crispy garlic chicken ($9.50) and thai tea ($3.00) - it was pretty standard. Nothing impressive and pricing was okay. Can't really say much in regards to service as it was nonexistent. Although ill give them the benefit of the doubt - I stood in line during lunch rush and the person at the window was just very eager to scribble food order down and move along to the next customer in line. Decent Thai Truck with quick service. I never understood the numbering systems of spicyness that go to 10. Can they really refine the spicyness to that level? One time, my husband got a 1 and it was as spicy as my 7. I did have the Pad Thai here and the portions are very decent. Fast and fresh! Packaging was solid (important when you order curry / soups!) and the folk who took our oder at the truck were super friendly. We ordered Pad Thai and a chicken curry dish. The curry was made at a 3+ on the spicy level, and was indeed pretty spicy. Would have liked a few more veggies in the curry mix, but there were generous portions of chicken and rice. The Pad Thai had lots of noodles, fresh vegetables that had wonderful texture and plenty of peanuts and chicken for protein. It was served with a side of rice which felt odd, but overall the experience was pleasant. read more
