Me and my little sister decided to visit here as a last minute desicion before leaving Orlando, and we were not disappointed. For appetizers, we order the appetizer sampler which included: stuffest chickem, crab rangoons, eggrolls, and fried shrimp. We both liked everything on the platter. For entree, we actually order three, including: Basil Duck, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Pad thai. The basi duck was very good, and well seasoned. The sweet and sour chicken was disappointing because it was more sour yet still bland. It was not so great. I simply love their fun and quirky decor on this inside. It really makes you feel like you've stepped into a different atmosphere setting the stage for a relaxed dining experience. I mean, come on, how much cuter can you get than a mock tiki stand in the corner of your restaurant?!? :) The service was very friendly, prompt and attentive. Panang Curry spiced medium was tasty, good amounts of chicken and veggies and the sauce was probably my fav part of the dish. The white rice was a little soggy and overcooked, but drenching curry over it...sometimes that just doesn't matter. The Pad Thai was also tasty. Not like, "woah", but more like, "yeah, this is good". I'm definitely feeling like this is a good go-to place to either escape for a solid meal, or to grab some Thai take out. Nothing like Asian food and movies for a fun night at home. :) read more

I really enjoy the food and atmosphere at Thai Villa. This restaurant has been here for a long time, and they have always had sweet servers and good food. I recommend the pad thai, the pad see ew (don't know if I'm spelling that right, and the drunken noodles are also really good. If the dish doesn't already come with Thai basil, I will usually request it because I LOVE THAI BASIL. Trust. It makes everything better. Oh! And don't forget Thai tea. No visit to a Thai restaurant is complete without some Thai tea. Everything here is good. It is in a convenient location, it's cute, and intimate. It's always pretty quiet in there too, so it's a good place for meetings, romance, break ups, whatever your heart desires. I'm kidding. I come here occasionally for lunch and it is always packed. Beware, they are closed Wednesdays. Yes, what an odd day to be closed... but just to save you some trouble. I've only gotten the curry and the tom yum soup here before, so that is all I can speak for. The tom yum soup is decent. I actually like my tom yum soup to be more pungent with fish sauce and sour. Their tom yum soup is pretty mild. The panang curry lunch portion comes out on one big oval shaped plate. This was different than my co-workers green curry, which was in a separate bowl than his rice. Not sure the reason for this but it seemed like I had more serving of curry than him. The curry has a balanced flavor of coconut milk and curry. I usually do thai hot, but lowered it to just below Thai hot this time around. The spiciness was on point. Service can be a bit spotty.. there were only two people at the front of the house serving a full restaurant. Not sure if they have more servers on different days, but it was slow that day with two servers. Overall, great Thai food. Would like to try the Pad Thai sometime... but I always end up getting curry. read more

Worst customer service on the planet!! Consider urself warned! They will Nickle and dime u for any and all substitutions..modifications, etc. They do not care if they get ur take out order wrong. How about everything is free at this point bc u f***ed up!????? They do not care about getting ur repeat business. I go to Viet Garden once or twice a week...spending almost $1500 a year there..That could be you Thai Villa...since u are right next to my house and Viet Garden is 20 minutes away. First things first- it's definitely a hole in the wall in a shady strip mall. But it's a bit of a diamond in the rough and a local favorite. Small dining room, not much to look at. They have some inexpensive wine so I opted for that, but my friends seemed to like the Thai tea. I ordered the chicken spring rolls for an appetizer which came with sweet sauce, and they were great. I was torn on what to eat for my meal since I had never been to a Thai restaurant, and wanted to get an authentic first experience. I ended up choosing the chicken panang curry with medium spice. It was delicious! They also give you little spice jars with nuts etc to add more flavor to your dishes. Beware though: I don't know if it was the food or if it was my stomach not being used to Thai food, but an hour or so later I was in quite a lot of stomach pain. I've not given up on the place completely because I really did enjoy the food. I might try something different next time. read more

The restaurant is pretty small but the atmosphere was really nice. The servers were kind and the food came out really quick. My group ordered the satay chicken appetizer and we loved the presentation. It came with a mini grill. My friend ordered the pineapple fried rice which came in a pineapple. When I think of this place, I hear the sad horn that plays from The Price is Right show when someone loses. Badumpbadump-whaaaaa. Meh. I've personally tried this place 3 times. I hate disliking something, and I always try to give establishments the benefit of the doubt and I try to be objective. But c'mon, 3 times ordering several different varieties of dishes and I can honestly say I find absolutely no flavor in their food. While their service is friendly, it's often very rushed. Why?? There's like 2 people here and one of them is just me. I've ordered appetizers, soups, noodles, entrees and all sad. My soups were all moderately warm 2 out of 3 orders and vegetables were almost completely raw. Im not trying to do a Thai-Macrobiotic diet. Salt, Steam and some flavor insert here please. Noodle portions were decent but sauces were thin and frankly lacked seasonings. 3 strikes and I'll never be back. Nothing impressive to compliment. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place last night since he loves thai food and has passed this joint for years and never went it. At first, it was a little strange, and we weren't sure what to do. You aren't greeted by a host, I guess you just seat yourself and if there is a line you just take a seat and wait with no idea how long it will be. We finally got sat after a short wait and we looked through the menu. With some 90 items to choose from I am sure you can find something - however, we waited about 10 minutes for even a drink order. She came over and was quite sweet, we ordered the chicken rolls, pad thai and the pepper steak. The chicken rolls were very good - the pepper steak didn't have much flavor to it but the vegetables were very fresh. The pad thai was okay but again not as much flavor as we are used to from other thai restaurants. We may go back to try more. Will edit it if we do. read more

Really enjoyed my Yellow Curry Fried Rice and Gyoza here at Thai Villa! We found it based on other Yelp reviews, and wanted to check it out. Needless to say we were not disappointed. My mom ordered a Yellow Curry dinner, and it was a perfect blend of sweet/spicy & creamy. Her fiancé ordered the sweet and sour pork and it too was loaded with flavor. We came here on a Sunday night. Right when we walked in, the staff was very courteous and sat us very quickly. Service is really quick at this restaurant considering there was a lot of customers being served. We ordered the tom kah gai, beef panang curry, beef pad thai. I think I am used to asking for the amount of spiciness from other restaurants, but we weren't asked here. We usually like the dishes spicy, but they weren't. The soup was good, and had a more lemongrass taste, which was different but nice. The serving size of the curry was pretty big and was tasty. The pad thai was average and was a little cold compared to the curry. That was weird considering how fast it came out. Overall, prices are reasonable and food is good. By far the best Thai food in the area. I've been coming here for almost 10 years and they are consistently awesome!

They are known to take off a month or so in the summer time so make sure to check that they are open. Besides that I love the panang duck curry! Very flavorful and the duck is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. read more

This place is amazing and so accommodating. I have never had a bad meal here and i have tried plenty of items on their very extensive menu. My wife's best friend is vegan and they offer extensive vegan selections, or can customize a dish to make it vegan. There appetizers are all delicious, I especially like the variety platter option wit multiple selections. All of their curries are delicious, but the pièce de résistance is the roast duck, which comes hot and steaming to the table (dinner and a show). They offer a good variety of beer and wine including Chang which is my favorite Thai beer. They are also a part of Uber Eats! Cannot ask for a better Thai food place, it really is a hidden gem in a small shopping plaza in East Orlando. read more

Thank you, Yelp reviewers! This place lived up the your reviews, especially the chili jam sauce. I had it in the seafood basket, with medium spice, and the heat was perfect for me. Hubby had the seafood panang curry with medium heat, and he said it was too mild, but the flavor was excellent. So, I'd say it might be a bit tricky to get the heat right. We also had the calamari appetizer, and it was okay, but had a bit too much breading. The sauce could use a little heat too. When we first got there, the service was a bit slow, but they got better once we ordered. They also do an amazing take away service, as people were constantly coming and going. Looking at the overall rating for this place, I'm wondering if I went to the same restaurant as the rest of the yelpers. Thai Villa, in my opinion, was just okay. I have certainly had better. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. I ordered my old stand-by for Thai Restaurants: chicken with cashew nuts and the wonton soup. The soup was okay. The wontons seemed a little overdone, and the soup had far too much black pepper in it. The entree was fine, except it was really nothing special. My meal was drowning in fairly tasteless sauce, to the point where I had to poke my fork around in it to find what I was looking for. The service was attentive and the price was standard for Thai restauraunts in the area, but nothing about this place blew me away. Thai Villa is one of my all time favorite Thai restaurants. It's been in the area for many years and the cuisine is authentically Thai. The place is family run and I am always happy with the quick and friendly service. I have had the pad Thai, red curry, summer rolls and chicken satay here. All of the dishes I've had have been delicious and are served hot. If you are in the Orlando are, head off the beaten path and eat where the locals eat! This place is a little hole in the wall and is a hidden gem. The food is pretty great. I always eat the Garlic Chicken entree which is very garlicky(my fav) and is more than enough for two meals. While I'm not a big fan of the fact that Thai Villa closes for an extended period of time in the spring (the family travels overseas), it's all worth it when they come back again! This is a quaint little place with a handful of tables and knickknacks strewn about. Make no mistake - culture everywhere you look. The service is on point every time I'm there, and they're always happy to accommodate special requests and dietary considerations. I love the Tom Kha. I love the Pad Woon Sen. My boyfriend loves the Pad Thai. And, um, have you ever had Thai Donuts? To. Die. For. And if you're into duck, they've got a pretty extensive selection of duck dishes. Major bonus: the price is right. This place won't break the bank. The only drawback for me is it seems nearly impossible to get mango sticky rice. They're always out. I'm not completely sure how that's possible, but maybe they just refuse to serve it if they don't have perfectly ripe mangos that particular night. It was really frustrating at first, but it's basically become a running joke now. Besides, the Donuts make up for it every time. And they DO have black sticky rice every time, which is a fantastic Must Try. Lastly... Get the Thai Iced Tea or Thai Iced Coffee. Even if you don't normally like tea or coffee. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised (and by pleasantly surprised, I mean blown away). read more
