Great food! I got the yellow curry lunch special that was under $10! And I brought home left overs! To put this in perspective I weight 220 lbs and can easily eat my whole meal... so two meals for me could be like 3-4 for an average human! Oh and is was good! The only thing is the chicken was a bit dry even soaked in curry it just didn't taste like fresh chicken more like frozen or something, I'm no scientist, but it didn't ruin my meal it was still good! read more

I was super confused and thought this was a different place because there are 3 Thai places in close proximity, but this one is the one to go to for lunch. They've got awesome lunch specials, my favorite being the pad Thai because I've been a noodle mood lately, but from what I can recall, their curry is also pretty solid. I don't know if it's amazing (though the dinner presentations with orchids are very lovely), but less than $8 for a lunch that includes an egg roll + salad + a healthy portion of food is a definite win. It looks like an old house and if you come at the right time, you can sit upstairs where you can be pretty isolated from other guests, so it's downright awesome. read more

Not to be confused with other places named "Thai Village," this place stands alone and excellent. This family run place has a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food. I. My opinion, it's the best Thai food in all of Utah county and probably contends for Gold or Silver in the entire state of Utah. The Coconut soup is delicious. This is my local Thai place and I love it! I always get the jungle mango curry or the pad Thai noodles. I love their other curries and noodle dishes also, but I keep coming back to those two. The lighting is a little dark at night, but I don't care because I'm not there for the ambiance. I don't think I've ever left disappointed with my meal. My husband and I recently found ourselves closer to the Thai House in Lehi and we ended up eating there, so I ordered pad Thai...I'm not sure what was happening in the kitchen, but the noodle dish I received did not taste like pad Thai. It was heavy with soy sauce and the noodles were dripping with it. I was not impressed and I left thinking I'll probably never go there again. Only the Thai Village for me! read more

I've eaten here several times. It is good. But not the best Thai in town. Ordering takeout is rough, apparently if they are busy they take the phone off the hook so they don't get calls. No recording or anything explaining that. I ended up going in to order and mentioned their phone wasnt working. They told me about not taking orders because they were busy, but it was dead.... tons of empty tables. Fresh spring rolls are my favorite typically, but these came wrapped in plastic wrap, and clearly not fresh. The veggies weren't crispy and there wasnt much taste. This visit was a disappointment, not sure if or when I'll go back. It might be worth a drive to somewhere I know will be good. read more

I love a lot of things about Utah. Great sunsets. Gorgeous National parks. And Thai Village. Okay, how can it be that a little Thai place can compare to sunsets and vast peaking parks? Because they pack huuuuge flavor into their food. I'm in American Fork about 2-3 times a year and I always make sure I grab at least one meal at Thai Village. Here are my recommendations. The fresh rolls are good, not their greatest item...but still worth getting. The Tom Kha Gai is delicious!!! Not too sweet, fresh vegetables and meat options. Yum. Now, I've had their curries and their pumpkin curry is the BEST but, my favorite thing is the Laab Salad. I love Laab. Spicy minced chicken on a bed of lettuce, bathe it in fresh lime and all the flavors elevate. So freaking good. Better than finding undiscovered hieroglyphics on a rock at Arches Park. Yes. That good. Finish with the sticky rice with mango. You'll thank me. read more

This is a great restaurant and the food is amazing. Personally I prefer Pique Thai in Highland but Thai Village is still good.

I'm sad to post this review as I've eaten here when the original war-refugee owner opened. He sold and the new owners sold out in serving quality food. The meat tastes frozen and added after cooking. I'm so sad about this. read more

I went here a couple years ago with my mom and we both really love Thai food. I grew up in Seattle where they had some amazing Thai places my family has gone to eat at. Unfortunately, my mom and I took our first bite of our food, looked at each other, and practically read each other's minds; this was not very good. The food here is awesome. I went here as part of my team lunch expecting a regular run of the mill thai restaurant but to my pleasent surprise i found the found here very tasty and per my colleague who has been to thailand, as close as it gets to a authentic thai food. The service was quick, the ambience very eloquent and price beyond reasonable and the most important thing, the food was of good portion and very tasty and very much like a authentic thai dish would taste like. I had ordered their spicy noodle with tofu but one can also get it with chicken and since it was their lunch entree it comes with a spring roll and wanton fry and cabbage with a sweet and tangy sauce in the base of cup it came in. I went in for lunch super hungry and the dish did not disappoint and i wolfed down the dish in a jiffy like pretty much within 10 minutes of it coming to my table. As hungry as i was , the dish still needed to be good for me to be able to consume it that quick. Coming to the dish itself, the noodle was flat and thick rice noodles with a sweet and savory sauce with zucchini, tofu (per my request), baby corn, onions and if i remember it right maybe some carrots in it and none of the ingredients seemed out of place including the spices in dish which seemed to hit the sweet spot by being optimum and not going a bit overboard which could ruin a dish, all in all making eating the dish a wholesome and fulfilling experience and worth the money spent on it. In fact all of us devoured our food to point that everyone in our group had only empty plates in their front post our lunch and that tells the story about the food itself to anyone reading this review and hence the 4 stars read more

My wife and I love eating Thai food and we keep coming back to Thai Village. Their lunch menu is a very good value. You get a small side salad with an egg roll, tons of sticky rice (any time I've asked for more they give me more), and ample portions of food. All for a very good price. Service has always been stellar for Thai restaurant standards. We've even chatted with the owner several times as he told us the history of some of the wall art (one piece took his friend over a year to hand carve!). I've had most of the curries and my favorite is the Massaman Curry with pork. My wife almost always gets the Pad Thai and asks for cashews instead of peanuts. I love this place for curry and pad thia. Everything we had tonight was delicious. I will be back for sure. I've been to Thailand twice and the food is very very similar. The cream cheese wontons are huge with lots of filling. Definitely get some. We also ordered some soup. So tasty. It was nice and hot. It had lots of good flavors. I picked the massaman curry. It had the perfect thickness and tons of flavor. Tasty tasty. The give you a huge bowl of rice. My wife picked the Pad Thai and said it was pretty good. My kids had a kids mean which had chicken nuggets, 2 wontons and a drink. She said they were really good. Two thumbs up actually. The only reason I didn't give this lace 5 stars is the parking and they always have kids working there, so the service is poor. I had to tell the kid 2 times to not put the hot dishes in front of my 18 months old, in less he wants a huge mess on the floor. They do have come products... That's always a plus! read more

I went to lunch today at the Thai Village with some customers. After reading the reviews I was excited to finally try the food. The restaurant itself is an old house that has been converted into a restaurant. There is limited seating but despite being lunch time we got a table fast. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken and vegetables (including bamboo, onions, potatoes, and carrots.) The food was served promptly, I think we waited all of maybe 5 minutes before it was served to us. Unfortunately the food was kind of disappointing. My yellow curry was pretty watery and not particularly spicy. The chicken was a bit rubbery, and there was tons of bamboo (which I didn't really like) in my curry but not much else. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food pretty well, and I did too, but it was just "okay" and not outstanding. For desert we ordered mango and sticky rice. This too was just "okay." The sticky rice was sort of a thin rice cake and was tough to break apart to eat. Service was also just "okay." After taking our order and serving our food we never saw our waitress again. Instead I had to flag down another waitress to order desert. We also had to wait awhile for our empty glasses to be refilled. I was hoping Thai Village would be great because I'm frequently in Utah County for business. Unfortunately reality conflicted with my hopeful expectations and I was overall disappointed. I don't think I'll be going back. Thankfully there are some really good Thai restaurants around Salt Lake City, where I live. read more

This is an 'ok' place if you're craving Thai food. I can't positively say that it's authentic Thai but this will do. I usually get their stir fry veggies and pad Thai but I will be honest, their pad Thai ain't good. I usually expect pad Thai to be more on the peanutty taste but theirs is for some reason is too sour. The stir fry veggies are a little undercooked. I like my veggies half cooked but it's different when they are too undercooked. We've been to this place multiple times not because we love it but more because we need our Thai fix and this is the closest to us. I don't know of a really good Thai food place here in Utah but I've been to a really good Thai place in Vegas so my expectations are a little high. For lunch specials they are around $8 which isn't bad. The people are nice but I wish they will improve their pad Thai. read more

I ordered the Pad Se Ew. They charged an extra dollar for beef and the meat wasn't even real. It was rubber! I could see maybe one or two pieces being fatty, but every SINGLE piece was rubber. And it wasn't like fat rubber... it seriously didn't seem like real meat. On top of that, the noodles were over cooked and didn't have any texture to them. I use to order take out all the time from this place when I lived in American fork, so I've always been a fan of their food. Their curry sauces are really good, not to thick and not to thin. I've been to several places where it's too runny. I ordered the red curry on the lunch special menu. It was still a large portion, which included a salad with a peanut dressing sauce (only lettuce and dressing), a spring roll, and small fried wonton with the chicken curry and rice. The pad Thai here is really good! And the price is hard to beat. who doesn't love a big plate of carbs and happiness topped with edible flowers?! I made the unfortunate decision to get their papaya salad instead of the usual plate of carbs, which is why it lost a star. The papaya salad is a few pieces of lettuce and spiralized papaya/carrots. It's completely soaked in dressing and topped with a oversalted peanut crumble thing. Weird and not worth the price. read more

Horrific customer "service"! These guys deserve a million negative stars. I called for take out and needed to find out how their meals came - individual meals in boxes or if the curry would come in a large container. I tried to ask as soon as the girl answered the phone but she cut me off and asked my name. I tried a second time and she interrupted me again to ask my order. I was finally allowed to ask my question and she rudely replied, "Of course our food comes in containers!" I was absolutely shocked with her rudeness! They did not get my business - and certainly not my money!!! Continue on down the road a bit and go to Sabaidee in Lehi on State Street instead. Delicious food, bad service. The waitress was so rude to us, acting like we were idiots for clarifying things on the menu (we were actually right and she didn't know the menu). The four of us there were taken aback when she would respond because it was so snarky. I work at a restaurant, and you do not talk to customers like that, the customer is always right. She also never brought my husbands Dr. Pepper. Pineapple curry was incredible, pad Thai was delicious, the mango sticky rice was good too. The cream cheese wontons our friends ordered came out half frozen, so they were sent back. You want to talk about quaint? This place is as quaint as a country cottage in the Devonshire countryside. Now, to the food. I had the green curry (beef) lunch special. Best lunch ever! The curry was spicy and a touch sweet. They also had cold soft drinks on tap, as well as ice water. This is probably the most authentic Thai in Utah. I know this because I was watching a show about the tsunami in Thailand a few days ago and it looked just like the food I saw in that show. Don't worry! I'm pretty sure you wont get hit by a tsunami at this location!! Lol!! I love that this restaurant has lots of vegan options. Most dishes can be ordered with tofu instead of meat. They have plenty of curry dishes and noodle dishes ranging from mild to spicy. Entrees also are served with steamed rice. Parking in the lot can be a bit limited on a busy Friday or Saturday night, but lots of cars park on the street (whether they are supposed to or not). The restaurant can also be a bit understaffed on busy weekend nights. But despite this, our food did not take extra long to be served. read more

You can sit there for 10-15 minutes before someone might swing by to take your order AND if anything is wrong with your order it is wrong because they repeated it back to you. Now keep in mind you might not understand what they said to you was your order, but they were right! Then my favorite they will tell you they have a right to refuse to serve you because you were rude when you were just trying to get them to make what you tried to order! My favorite restaurant in Salt Lake :-) my daughter didnt want anything from the menu so we asked for something they didn't have, and they worked their magic and served whatever my daughter wanted. This is a house. Parking absolutely blows here and seating inside is very limited. It is weird sitting in a house and eating lunch in a restaurant. Ambiance is pretty wacky. There is also a nifty shed apparently stuffed full of assorted random boxes and miscellaneous junk you can walk by on the way to the house. All in all, the effect is very off-putting. But, we were parked and more or less committed, so bravely forth and so on...I don't remember what I had. Something with pork that was called spicy on the menu but was anything but. That might have been the name of it. Spicy something. With pork. Although the heat was not present, it was surprisingly flavorful. Definitely someone with Thai know-how in the kitchen. Spring rolls were acceptable, but not among the best I've had. Same with the Thai iced tea. It was a pleasant surprise to come across a very unexpected meal of that caliber here, which, aside from the slowness and oddness of how it was served, was quite good. I am almost never in this area around lunch time and definitely am not in a hurry to fight that parking mess again, but respect where it's due, what I had was quite well done. read more

Set inside of a fantastic large restored home (hardwood floors and moldings) on Main Street in American Fork, the Thai Village is a really nice alternative to the chain restaurants that seem to dominate the local scene. It's family owned and staffed by a transplanted Thai family from CA - the kids run the register and the parents/owners serve the tables. There is typically a wait to be seated, but once you're at a table the service is terrific. The food is great and I know people that drive 40 minutes down from Salt Lake to get their fix. I love the coconut milk soup as an appetizer and the matsuman curry among the main dishes. The sticky rice is perfect. On our latest visit, our 4 person party purposefully ordered 5 dishes so that we could take some home in a doggy bag, but everything was so good that we ended up not having anything left. My wife mentioned to me that the Pad Thai tasted a little catsup'y, and she was right (a sin in a Thai restaurant?). A solid 3 1/2 to 4 stars and a great family dining experience. read more
