After seeing so many 5 star reviews in such a short period of time after opening, I had to check out this place as it is literally across the street from me. The interior of the restaurant is clean and well appointed. A young lady who was the waitress appeared to be of high school age and was welcoming and very hospitable. Now on to the real reason I came here - the food. Ladies and gentlemen this is where the review goes downhill. The 5 star reviews must be all from friends and family, This is not authentic Thai food and certainly not of 5 star quality. There were no authentic Thai flavors, I judge a Thai restaurant by two very recognizable Thai dishes - Green Curry and the Tom Kha Ga soup. Both dishes here were unlike any I had ever had (and not in a good way). Totally lacking in Thai and coconut flavors both dishes were made with some horribly looking thin white liquid. In fact the Green Pork Curry looked and tasted just like the Tom Kha Ga. The only difference was the size of the bowl. Not a very good food adventure (more like a food nightmare). since 2 Thai restaurants popped up around the same time and both within walking distance for me, I visited Prawnee's Thai Cuisine a few days later. Read my review of Prawnee's. This is a mom and pop Thai restaurant with an authentic Thai chef (Prawnee) and truly deserves all 5 star reviews for their truly authentic Thai cooking and flavors. So Thai Way 6 was actually a good thai place in general. Ordered chicken pad thai, beef pad kee mao and chicken red curry. I thought the pad thai was ok, a bit on the saucy side, wasnt too sweet, so that was good, give 3*s. Others did not like it so much, preferred pad thai from thai fast food in chinatown. The beef pad kee mao was good, had the expected flavors, beef version was $3 more, give 4*. The red chicken curry was not very good, tasted too creamy and kinda bland, give 2*s. Probably wont go again, as its a bit far for me. read more

A hidden gem and authentic, delicious Thai food! I have tried many of their dishes. My favorites so far are: Rad Nah - omg yum! This dish is the most underrated Thai noodles that many seem to forget about or never try. Once you've tried it here, you'll love it. The flavors are spot on! Tom Yum Soup - As hot as it's been this summer, it's another dish that hit the spot! It had the right amount of ingredients. Bold, yet light, tangy, salty, and spicy (I like mine Thai Hot). Pad Ped Catfish- This was jam packed with flavors. Pad Ped is a type of stir fry that goes well with any protein but the flavors immersed in a deep fried fish just tasted even better. Take a bite with some jasmine rice and you won't stop eating Larb - with ground pork was made to perfection as well. Another dish that they made with the right amount of ingredients. I love the toasted ground rice, I wrapped it in lettuce and each bite was delectable. We also tried the pad Thai, pad see ew, red curry, and pad garlic! All of them were delicious! My wife & I went here Saturday 5/6 around 6pm. Not very busy, but it was also their Grand Opening. We were warmly greeted. All of the service was prompt and friendly. We shared the small bowl of Tom Kha Gai, which was a perfect amount for us. It had a little more fish sauce than others I've had, but it was delicious. For our mains I had the Gang Kua curry (a red curry with chicken and a lot of vegetables) that I loved, and my wife had the Panang curry with tofu, which had a great, rich flavor. They have a simple scale for heat - Mild, Medium, and Hot. We ordered medium, knowing it might be a lot. It was, but everything tasted so good, and they kept our iced tea topped off. They even brought out a carafe for us. At the end of the meal, one of the owners came out (she had been checking on us throughout our meal) and gave us a mango ice cream, made in-house, with whipped cream and a mango syrup. She felt bad that it had been so spicy, although that's how we had ordered it. The ice cream was on the house, and it was amazing, creamy and not too sweet. So nice of them to do this. Truly a gem. The food was AMAZING! We ordered the Pra Ram Peanut Sauce with chicken as the protein. Requested medium spice and it was soooooo delicious. The flavors were unreal. For dessert, had the fried banana with ice cream. The banana was crispy and warm served on top of coconut ice cream, it was the best way to end such a pleasant dinner. Super yummy. Had the pad Thai chicken. It was soooo good! I would personally get it without the tofu pieces as they are spongy (it already comes with dish). Tom Kah soup is great. Overall customer service was good. Place my order for pick up before they closed. Arrive to the restaurant store was clean the aroma was inviting very excited for my entree's. Ordered the spicy chicken wings, Basil fried rice with chicken and extra chicken and vegetables Hot spice level, ordered Crab fried rice and added shrimp Thai hot spice level for my wife. I believe they switched the spice levels which was disappointing because I couldn't really enjoy my order. The rice was mushy have an overcooked taste to it. The ambiance is great design and decor kinda makes you think you are actually in Thailand . Not much outside seating but not there fault . Even leaving aside the truly excellent name, the food was phenomenal. We had the pad Thai, Panang curry, summer rolls, and thai tea - the classics to gauge the restaurant. All four were wonderful. The Pad Thai was neither too dry or swimming in sauce, and the flavor was spot on. The Panang had a nice spice that wasn't overwhelming (we had medium to gauge how they handle spice), and a very pleasant curry flavor. The summer rolls were tightly wrapped and had a slight minty quality that cooled everything back down. The Thai tea was plenty sweet, but it still had a good tea flavor. The food was so good. The wait is a bit long, but it is totally worth it. My father had been raving about it so he finally took me. I kid you not, this is one of the best Thai places I ever went to.
