Stopped by on a weekend morning and was seated right away. The restaurant has a cozy, homey feel- perfect for a relaxed, casual hangout. Service was warm and attentive. Street parking is available right out front. Beef Stewed Steamed Rice Noodle- a unique Cantonese-style dish with soft, silky rice noodles topped with richly flavored beef stew. The texture combination was really interesting (in a good way). It does get a bit heavy toward the end, so it's a great option to share. I'd definitely come back for this dish!

Food - well priced breakfast combos, we got the soy sauce chow mein, congee (the day's was salted fish), youtiao, and lemon iced tea -- all tasted pretty great overall and hit the spot for someone looking for a great breakfast in the 626 :) Service - pretty quick overall, family run Ambiance - kind of easy to miss right next to the Psychic shop next door; nice and clean shop overall the Thai tea bears look cute definitely will consider getting the drink next time!

Cute little mom and pop restaurant It's easy to drive by it, but we happen to find it on yelp. Don't drive too far since you can easily pass it. We did street parking in front of garden cafe It is yummy nice comfort food. Plenty of it when you get a large :) probably great for winter Nice people with only two people on the job It's nice to have when craving some familiar comfort food. I'll be back if I'm in the area

The food is so good and simple menu! The service is great and fast. We just found out the parking is in back!

Cute little noodle spot across from KFC on South Baldwin Ave. Only street parking, no parking in the back. The restaurant is clean, gets good lighting, clean, and has 6 tables. They have really cute bear thai ice milk tea with a small frozen bear on top. Our server was really friendly. Please be patient though as she was the only person serving the tables. I really enjoyed my HK beef stew. I would come back to try other items.

    Large chicken pho (leftover)

Very hospitable and quick service. The inside is homey but not too cozy. This spot is an introvert's dream. Ordered a large chicken pho via fantuan for takeout. My take- having lived in SGV and tried almost every chicken pho.... this is genuinely the best chicken pho in town. I was entranced by the succulent chicken, delicious broth, and generous portion of noodles. They gave me a packet of hoisin sauce, chili vinegar, and ginger onion sauce. At home I squeezed my own sriracha to triple dip the chicken with the hoisin. It was so good I couldn't take a picture before I dived in. Attached are my leftovers after I got full

A cozy and homey casual noodle restaurant. They serve classic comfort food and have decent portions and good value. Simple menu and delicious food that is satisfying. The noodles came with lots of meat and was well seasoned. The interior is very clean and the staff are friendly. No credit cards under $25, but they take Venmo and Zelle.

Pregnancy craving for that spicy sour Guilin noodles continue! haha! I had this place bookmarked for their hot and sour rice noodle soup. It wasn't exactly the Guilin style but it was good. The flavor I was craving was there and it did not disappoint. The noodles were definitely different from the Guilin style. The Thai tea was good and wasn't super sweet. I actually tasted the tea and that's rare! If you pay cash and your bill reaches a certain amount , you get your drink comped! They also provide 1 free refill on your drink. The chili oil chicken was okay. It tasted like the Taiwanese cold dishes but with chicken. I don't normally see a chicken option in most restaurants but they typically make this with tripe and pork. The restaurant is located on Baldwin. I'm not sure if they had a parking lot in the back but I parked on the street. It's a small restaurant and has about 6-8 tables.

Small restaurant serving a variety of noodles, some rice dishes, appetizers and drinks. Food is solid with a nice homemade, clean taste. You can receive two different drinks free based on your receipt total. Small parking lot in the back with street parking.

After a leisurely walk at the LA Arboretum, my friend and I were famished and in need of a cold drink and some yummy food. She suggested Fivefive because of the frozen bear drink. Turns out the food is also pretty good. My friend had the crabmeat tomato basil noodle soup and I had the five five hot and sour rice noodle soup. My friend didn't say too much about her soup except that it was pretty good, and she took the leftovers home. I enjoyed the hot and sour rice noodle soup (4/5). It was good and had strong flavors that made this soup so easy to eat. The soup is spicy but not overly so and it was definitely sour and had strong Chinese herbal taste that I loved. My friend was thrilled with her frozen Thai tea bear (4/5) and I ended up getting a Ume soda (4/5) (which was salted plum in soda water). I liked that our server suggested we take a glass of Thai tea to go with the bear. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is all white and very clean. The restaurant had a steady crowd so I think this is a popular little place to grab a bite. Parking is street. Due to construction on the sidewalk, it was a bit confusing where parking was ok and where it wasn't. But that should not deter anyone from checking out this cute little noodle cafe. I'll be back! House special noodle soup
    Lauren B.

Quaint noodle shop with hearty noodle soups and kind employees. Perfect for brunch or when you need to satisfy your noodle cravings. I love ordering the house special noodle soup with half egg noodle half rice noodle to get the best of both worlds. We usually park on the street and sometimes have to walk for a minute or two if all of the spots are taken (which they sometimes are, because Garden Cafe is next door and gets busy around brunch time too). Overall, a tasty noodle spot with flavors that remind me of home. I recommend giving it a shot if you haven't already!

Grilled Pork and Rice. (To-go dinner)
    Vince J.

We usually dine in but FiveFive is now doing a to-go dinner service(flier says Tuesday-Sunday), which is perfect for a Sunday evening when we want something good but don't want to cook or go out. We ordered the beef stew with rice and grilled pork and rice. Delicious as always. Also Added an ice lemon tea for $1.

They have many classic Chinese dishes at a truly affordable price point. The food: We ordered four different dishes: green beans (v), stir fried egg plants (v), mapo tofu (v), and chicken with rice. For the first three dishes, we clarified with the owner to make this vegetarian (also vegan), which she was able to do very easily and without question. We communicated with her in Chinese, but she also spoke English to us, when we discovered that our Chinese was likely not as fluent as native speakers. Everything was flavorful, without relying on just an overwhelming amount of salt, and we really enjoyed the green beans that seemed to be cooked in fermented bean paste. I found the eggplants particularly tasty too! The service: This small store had so much business, so we did spend some time waiting before we could actually order our meal. The restaurant itself was filled with folks dining in, and there were multiple parties waiting for take out. Even so, once we did order our meal, it didn't take too long for all four dishes to come out. For these reasons, I can't say service was particularly attentive, but they were still polite and I felt like they did try to make it a good experience for us, even if it was so busy. Everything else: They accept credit card with a small surcharge. Parking exists, but during dinner time on a Friday, expect it to be full and very cramped.
