The main thing to remember here is don't sit outside if you can help it. When we got there, there were just a few seats at the counter. It was a nice day so we chose one of the two outside tables. It was about 10:15 when we placed our order. We got our drinks reasonably quick. They came by to refresh coffee once. And then we didn't see them for about a half hour. I'm sure it was busy and they're a small staff. But we were sitting outside feeling neglected. Meanwhile I'm certain everyone inside got what they were needing. I believe it was a case of out of sight, out of mind. Close to 11 I got up from my seat and went inside to inquire. The exact answer I got from one of the waitstaff was "We'll bring it out when it's ready." Not one acknowledgment of the wait. Not even one apology for the wait. I'd say the total wait was 50 minutes. We got our food about 10 minutes after that. Perhaps they got the hint. And then we finally got some attention to our drinks. But yet again, not one acknowledgement of the wait. Now the saving grace. The food we got was actually excellent. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. Everyone was happy with their food. Yet again I had to go inside just to ask for the bill. I didn't even get a "how was everything?" Maybe they were afraid to ask? Let me be clear. I understand waiting for food. I understand the kitchen may be busy. I'm not unreasonable. But feeling neglected should never happen. They seemed nice enough and I don't think they did it on purpose. I honestly believe that once you sit outside here you become out of sight, out of mind. You become the last priority and everyone inside gets their undivided attention. If I'm ever back in town I would come back because the food was that good. But I know where I'm sitting next time. read more

Little falls has a breakfast place. Small cute little place. Not impressed at all. Not thinking that it's the goal to impress people though. Locals mostly I believe. If I was to rename this gem, I would rename it " The Wait and See ". Wait to sit. Wait for to place your order. Wait and wait for your food. Then wait and wait for your drink. Then see if they bring you something to drink. Hopefully you'll get it before or with your breakfast so you don't have to dry throat your meal. I wasn't that fortunate. Asked twice even. Service, I'm sitting here as I type this, I got my order in and decided to eat outside. Well, that was where things tanked . I drank my water while I was waiting, on my food to arrive, and not once after that was I checked on, so I enjoyed my meal with nothing to drink . Now , the waitress comes out and asked how things were, well , I told her , I'd enjoy it much more with a drink. Well as I sit here another 10 minutes, no one comes to get the money for the bill, so I'll be removing the tip had included. Because, it's obviously not worth it to them. I don't unusually complain. I usually do not leave reviews but am compelled to. Two gal servers behind the bar. One younger one older not that that matters. Walked in 10:15am. Place was quite busy no line outside. Thought I would grab a spot at the bar. About 10 stools and they have 5 dinette booths. Wait 5-6 min. For somebody to notice me. No help or welcome or I'll be right with you. Just sitting with no menu. Nothing yet. 5 more min. I ask for a glass of water, I get it 4 min later. We're at 19 min. Then I ask for a menu and a cup of coffee. Get those fairly quickly. Still waiting. I finished my coffee and asked for some tea. I got it. Finished my tea. Another 20 min goes by. Asked about the scramble with bacon. "Hey we're really busy can't you see that". Gosh it was just a question. Now we're at 40 min I asked for some more tea. I get some hot water poured into the prior tea. Another 10 min=50 min. I ask for another tea bag and some hot water. No new tea bag. Later I asked for the 2 nd tea bag. I get that it seemed begrudgingly! Wow. I'm at now 60 minutes. I'm seriously thinking about leaving. 10 more minutes go by. I've finished a water, a cup of coffee and 2 cups of tea. I tell the lady I'm just going to leave. We're at 1 hour 15 min. She says I think it is done. Goes and checks. Says it is done. So, I decide to eat the meal which was hot and good. However snarky comments are being made under their breath as they walk away. I'm shocked. I finish the meal. Look at the check and the math is overcharged for my order by about $1.25. Then she says well you wanted it to go. There is a box charge. I said but I ate it in. She argues with me well previously you said to go. Actually I had told her that "I'm just going to go." She miss heard me. I ate in reluctantly. I get the bill. I said your math is wrong and I ate the meal in. Wow. What happened to CS. They then made comments in the background saying "The Customer is always right ...right." Other customers were noticing that I was at the bar through an entire turnover of the bar and all of the booths. If you want to sit for an hour and 15 with poor service with an attitude to go with it then this is your place. What could improve: 1. Greet your customers with a smile hand them a minute and ask if they would like a beverage. This would have saved 4 discussions I had and feeling invisible. 2. Speed up the back prep and cooking, or let customers know that it will be about an hour. 3. Drop the snarky attitude towards customers and talking comments and attitude as you walk away from a customer question. 4. Calculate the bill correctly. 5. If you have mis calculated. Say "oh gosh I'm sorry let me fix that. VS @ wow it was only $1.45 or .50 cents. I could go on but it's is not worth any more of my time. read more

It's been some time since I have experienced small town mentality. That Little Place On Main was recommended by a local businessman and a man off the street. Both men said that the food is good. I was urged to go in and told that I would be taken care of. Hopeful words, but nothing remotely close. As I travel from East Coat to West Coast, I intentionally seek out small diners. My first impression of this place was good. The local customers were treated with respect, even called by name. However, as an outsider visiting from Nashville, Tennessee, I did not feel welcomed in the least. Having ordered a Caesar Salad with chicken and a bottle of water 20 mins earlier, I ask the waitress how the salad was coming, No response. Then, the counter cleared out until I was the only one left. So, I asked a different waitress how long it takes for a Salad to come out. She seemed genuinely interested in serving me. But, from the other end of the counter, the young waitress responded to my question. "It comes out when it's ready," she said. With that, I stood up paid for the water and Salad, even left a tip. I told the young waitress that she can give the salad to the homeless or someone else. I then walked over to Subway, where I was warmly greeted. I thanked the workers for their excellent service, continued to walk back to the hotel where I enjoyed my Subway meal with soft laughter and unbelief at the service or lack there of at the diner. Cute little place with 10 counter stools, 4 booths and 2 outdoor tables. Little family run place that often has patrons waiting for a seat. Why? Because it is the best breakfast in the area. The food is clean, not greasy. The home fries are fresh and nicely seasoned. The eggs are fabulous. And the bread for toast is made by local Heidelberg Bakery. When they are packed it can be a bit of a wait, but the quality of the food makes it well worth while. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a small ice cream counter as well with custom flavors. They even ended our breakfast with an amazing piece of cheesecake. If you've never had it! You better try it. Mouth watering. FIVE STARS!!! My parents and I are up visiting family for the holiday. We are staying at the Travellodge. Which was perfect because it's within walking distance! The food here is AMAZING. I had the cinnamon swirl pancakes, my mom had the spinach, bacon and cheddar omelet and my dad had a ham and cheese omelet. They both got a side of Heidelberg Peasant bread (mmmmm we travel from Long Island and make sure to always bring some home). This is a cute diner. Seems family run. The wife and I were in the area for the first time and stumbled upon this place looking for someplace to have breakfast. An unassuming looking place from the outside but very pleasant inside. Loved the interior(wood bar/wall) was told they used pallets, great idea. The wife ordered an omelette and I had the biscuits/gravy w/eggs special, both were very good. Took home a slice of the blueberry coffee cake and it's outstanding as well. Will definitely make a return trip if ever back in the area read more

Wow - this place is AMAZING! It's an old trailer/dining car - so it's barrow & charming inside. Ate here while visiting Little Falls for a charcuterie board record setting event. I ordered the cinnamon swirl pancakes and I can honestly say they were the best pancakes I have ever eaten. They were so good that I really didn't notice what anyone else at the table ordered. If you do Weight Watchers like I do, these are probably like 60 points, so keep that in mind. Only thing that I didn't like about this place was that they used to go cups for our coffee rather than mugs. I'm a real mug person so this bothered me a lot. read more

My wife and I ate there the other day Friday 5/3/24. We are out of state travelers. I ordered my breakfast and was specific about my Enoglish Muffin being toasted and buttered in the kitchen and stated I did not want it grilled. When my breakfast was served the English Muffin was grilled. I questioned the waitress why it was grilled and not toasted. She stated that the restaurant did not have a toaster and walked away. I looked at my wife'a breakfast and she had 2 slices of toast cut it half that was toasted in a toaster. The waitress blatantly lied to me but it doesn't end there. When she gave me the bill it only had the total on it with no individual price on what we ordered. I asked her to fill it in. She charged me $3 for blueberries in my 2 Pancakes. I have never paid more than $1.50 on 2 and I remarked as such. What was worse when I added up all the items we ordered in came in less than she charged. She gouged us on our meal and got caught. It also happened to be her birthday. I would not recommend this restaurant if she is your waitress. Her name is Tara. If she waits on you and you are not a local she will more than likely pad your bill. The food was good but I would be leary of this waitress. read more

Curbside breakfast was such a great treat after cooking breakfast every. single. day. for the past 9 months of quarantine. Bacon was cooked perfectly crisp! And the blueberry pancakes were a delight. I have eaten here before and had an excellent meal and excellent service so this morning was sad. I have fond memories of working at this diner in the '70s as my first job so I love to stop here when I'm able. This morning was unusual because the town was hosting an event so the diner may have been a little busier than usual, but were only a few booths full, so not really what I would call busy. There were three of us and I asked for coffee for myself and water for all of us. The waitress brought coffee and one water. I brought it to her attention that there were three of us and we needed 3 waters. She brought another glass of water. I asked again for water for all of us and finally received three waters. My daughter ordered an omelet and side of potatoes, which was OK but nothing special. My granddaughter and I were not too hungry so just ordered English muffins. The waitress brought our food and asked my daughter if she wanted ketchup. She said yes and some silverware since none of us had been given silverware. The waitress brought ketchup but still no silverware. Our English muffins were grilled which I liked, but kind of bland. I asked the waitress if they had strawberry jam. She answered "yes" but never brought any. She was not busy, just apparently forgetful or I assumed just not very interested in the needs of her customers enough to think we might want silverware and that my question about jam may have been more than curiosity. I mentioned the poor service to the owner as I paid and she was kind of defensive. Oh, well. This is a small town with lots of places to eat and word of mouth is everything. I've already heard people say bad things about this diner and I always defended them because I had good food in the past. I might give them another chance, but the next time someone comments about the slow service here, I'll be sure to share my negative experience. It was also uncomfortably hot and no A/C no open windows. I lived in AZ for 25 years so I rarely complain about heat. read more

This was horrible breakfast . Bad service where do they get these servers ? The coffee was not even fresh tasting. The other thing was the one slice of Italian toast . Seemed toasted then grilled with that spray they use on the grill . Hard as a rock with holes in the bread with that oil butter they use . Are you kidding me? The server could barely talk to people. My favorite place in Little Falls. We had a great breakfast here. My wife had a omelette with greens, loaded with fresh greens. I had a big breakfast pancakes eggs over easy and bacon all first-rate. First-rate coffee too.to top it off, he had a delicious slice of pineapple rhubarb pie. A nice combination of flavors, and the first rate crust. Plus, totally relaxed mood, great music on the radio. Well, we entered the place to be told we sat at the same time as everyone else... 6 others. Our table was 6 people as well. At one hour mark, one plate of raw pancakes is served, followed by the next plate 10 minutes later, followed by the third... 10 minutes later. Every order was wrong, and multiple parts of our orders were forgotten. When we asked the waitress if our plate by plate service was some kind of a joke, we then preceded to get yelled at by the cook. Who explained he only cooks the best. The best includes raw pancakes, two raw eggs which were ordered over well, sides of bacon were never served and the ham and cheese omelet, had no cheese! Lastly, we heard the cook telling the waitress to charge us for our water... The waters that 2 people ordered and the other 4 got anyways. Makes sense. Walk out of this place if you see more than one person there! Never had the staff yell at a customer in my life! read more

Great small diner! Good selection and low prices. GF friendly which is huge for me! All food is prepared fresh while you wait. I love the constantly changing specials. The owners are friendly and go the extra mile to ensure everyone leaves happy. We are "regulars" for both breakfast and lunch.
