Wings and smash burgers under the same roof ?! Say less ! This location off university in winter park shares a kitchen with cow & cheese which is known for their smash burgers. We are hooked to these wings and are planning to visit often after coming her for now the 5th time in less than 30 days. There are 3 different wing combos to choose from so depending on big back appetite or sharing preference , you can leave with a happy belly. I love the garlic parm wings but let me tell you how I dreamed of another order of the hot lemon pepper lol! Ambiance is so chick with good music playing and staff is like family. Welcoming , cool to chat with it and they already remember our famous ordering name lol ( insider ) If you haven't been, you are missing out

I went with my friend on a Wednesday evening. We were greeted by the staff when we arrived and we looked at the menu near the entrance. I ordered the 10 wing chicken in fiery garlic parmesan sauce (a little over 10 dollars after taxes). I paid at the counter (through a kiosk), and was given a number. I was texted when my order was ready, which was about 5 minutes later, and picked it up from the counter. We sat in a table nearby. The chicken boxed in a big bag. When I opened the box, a saw the wings nicely drizzled in the sauce with nice parmesan strips as well. The wings were fried, which made it a bit crispy. It wasn't that juicy, but tender enough. Some wings had small amount of meat, while others had a bigger size. I also saw mostly drums than flats. The sauce was too mild for me. I was expecting some heat for a nice ride, but my taste buds didn't feel much of a thrill. Not much of a sweat at all. My friend did enjoy the wings and sauce as it was the right spice for him. I did try his fries in some dry rub and it was pretty good. I did find it a bit sweet though. I wish the wings included dipping sauce and celery, but that costed extra. Still filling enough, but more of calories without anything healthy. The service was very friendly. We were greeted when we arrived and thanked for coming when we left. Our items are ready at a reasonable time, and packed nicely. When we needed extra utensils, they were given quickly. While it was more of a workaraunt, the staff were very helpful when needed. The atmosphere is very casual with some artwork on the walls, and R&B music in the background. There were ample amount of tables, and I didn't see outdoor seating. The restaurant is in a small strip area near Target in Goldenrod. This restaurant shares the same building with Cow and Cheese, a burger restaurant with the same owner. Parking was nice and easy. I will say that for the price paid, the wings were good enough. The sauce could have been spicier, and the meat could have been juicier, but it still fit the bill and satisfied my hunger. I will go again for reasonably priced wings in the University area, but will order spicier sauce next time. Overall: B-

Food: the crinkle fries - especially if you get it seasoned are good. They are usually fresh but I recommend eating them asap if you like them crispy like I do. I always get the beer cheese because it's yummy. The wings tend to be on the smaller side. I'm not big on sauce so I can't say much on that. Next time, I'll try boneless. Service: very good. This location has been super friendly every time and I love it. They want their service to be super fast and if it's up their standards, they will fix it. Ambiance: nothing fancy. Corner location that has in door seating.

We were craving wings so we decided to go to That Wing Spot. The manager and workers are very helpful and friendly. I ended up ordering the 10 Hot Lemon Pepper wings with Fries. They are the best. If there was a location closer to Mount Dora, I would be tempted to go every day! It's a whole vibe inside with the music and art. I can stay there for hours at a time!

Garlic Parmesan Wings - Yes, there is chicken present underneath...along with a puddle of OIL!

I won't be saying the experience I had at this establishment was totally a disappointment but, a name change would certainly be warranted...maybe from "THAT WING SPOT" to "THAT OIL SPOT". More on this a little later. My lunch excursion though started on such a positive note. That Wing Spot shares their location with Cow and Cheese and I was intently looking at the menus when a female employee approached me to answer my questions and offer some suggestions. Having already had the burger from Cow and Cheese's Maitland location, I decided to order a wing combo from That Wing Spot. I opted for a five piece Garlic Parmesan wing combo with crinkle cut fries. Not too long after, the same female employee brought the order to my table. Now to be fair, the crinkle cut fries were good but, I didn't choose a five piece wing combo for the fries. And this is where it went downhill fast! Upon opening the food container I witnessed a very unappetizing display of wings. But I said to myself, maybe they taste better than they look...uh-uh. This was not a seasoning of Garlic Parmesan but, a veritable multi-layered built-up coating. And once I got past the blanket of flavor overkill, the chicken itself was sub-par. HOWEVER, what's much worse, was the puddle of oil/butter which occupied a good part of my food container...EEK! I stopped eating after two wings and the rest was later thrown out. Upon reflection I should have stuck with the burger because the only thing I was stuck with at the end of this meal was a wall of grease clogging my lower intestines!

Best wings and fires ever!!! The staff everybody who works there is so friendly so helpful literally like just over the top amazing I am willing to drive 40 minutes all the time for chicken wings and french fries especially that there's no cross contamination in those wings or french fries so if you are gluten-free this is the place to be

Okay, I've been to TWS plenty of times. I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review. I love this place. It's very laid-back. The employees are all great and customer centric. The wings are always on point and those Kwame secret rub fries are AH-MAZING! I always order carry out but I may just have to dine in on my next visit. This recent visit was special for me. As I waited for my food, I didn't keep my eyes on my phone like I normally do. I noticed that Kwame was in the building working alongside the employees and was so amazed at how laid back and efficient his employees were. Usually, you'll know when the boss is in the building at certain establishments because everyone is super square and uptight. Everyone was the same as any other time when he's not there. Employees welcoming in customers. (There were maybe 1 or 2 times when I didn't get a greeting but that's no problem for me). Employees engaging with each other and joking around while also getting the job done. Kwame working WITH his employees and not just watching from afar like I've seen managers and owners do in other businesses. I ordered the shareable buffalo wings and fries (it was all for me ) with 4 blue cheese. Always delicious. Always meat on the bone and easy to bite through. Keep up the great work. I dont have a pic of the food because your girl was starving.

That Wing Spot has been on my list for a while, but the OG Location was never convenient for me. This new location in Winter Park is great as it's on my route to Costco, where I go at least once a month for prescriptions. This new location (Fall 2024) shares a spot with Cow and Cheese. It's kind of dumb if you want a burger AND wings as there are 4 ordering kiosks, 2 for wings and 2 for burgers. You can't order from both places on one screen. I hope they work that out. The wings are reasonably priced and I think I ended up with more than 10 in my box. They were delivered to the table super fast and I will say they were not fresh at all. They tasted like they were re-heated or something you'd get a Domino's or Papa John's. They were also SUPER saucy which ruined them even more. I'd gladly wait for fresh wings and if they thought they were doing me a favor, they were not. I'd rather wait longer for good food than have food brought right to the table. I did tell the "host" who was walking around and he offered to make me more wings but at that point, I wouldn't have eaten them and would have had to take them home. Kudos for the offer and thanks. I know it's a new spot, but it's the second location and Kwame's places are usually great (I friggin' love Chicken Fire), but the wings here were just not good.

First thing is first, the staff is very friendly and helpful. You are greeted from the second you open the door, and the smell of wings and burgers hits you in the face. I knew this was gonna be great. Got the fiery garlic parm, I apologize for the not so great pics but I promise it smacked ! The double burger was delicious, juicy, crispy and creamy as it should be. The secret fries were very good was like a mix of bbq with salt and vinegar. The ranch was homemade and very fresh. Pretty cool art on the walls, All in all That Wing Spot was Bussin !!! Can't wait to go back!

Huge shout out to Miss MadDog who was bopping around and making sure everyone was taken care of during a lunch rush. Speedy staff and the food was great, tried both a burger from Cow and Cheese and wings from That Wing Spot. Originally from Buffalo and it's been impossible to find wings this good in FL. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Great spot!

I think this may be my new go to spot for wings! I got the little combo with 5 wings and fries and throughly enjoyed my meal. I also got a single smash burger from Cow and Cheese, which shares the location, and it was really tasty as well. The ordering process was very easy. Keep in mind that you will have to order from 2 different kiosks to get items from each restaurant. I liked the eclectic, urban feel of the location. I absolutely recommend giving this restaurant as well as Cow and Cheese a try!

Everyone greeted us with a smile, nice sitting area. Ordered hot lemon pepper wings and the fries and OMG both were so delicious. I will definitely be going back.

I went here a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. I tried the kb sweet heat and it was so good. It had a nice spice and tangly flavor. Definitely a mixture between hot and bbq wings . I think it's worth checking out. Also the vibe is really nice . Well decorated with cool art .

I was looking for a place that served rock shrimp and oysters as I did not want to drive to the coast. I got everything I was craving and more. Lisa the bartender was welcoming and served with a smile. They are a beer and wine establishment as an FYI. Started with oysters on the half shell which came from the Chesapeake Bay and Lisa shucked them in front of me. The rock shrimp were good but would have preferred them to be deveined but that is my preference. Was wanting a little more food and ordered 6 hot garlic wings that finished the meal perfectly. After a couple of beers and friendly conversation with others at the bar it was time to leave. Will for sure go back when in the mood for seafood and bar food and to watch a game.

They had room on the patio but we wanted the air conditioning. The June specials menu looked awesome. The monthly soup is cauliflower. I had the cucumber sandwich (the cool cuke?) and asked for it toasted. Choice of side was chips, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. I had potato salad/ it was good- a little bacon in it and perfectly seasoned. My sando came out toasted but they forgot the cucumbers! Our server brought me out sliced cucumbers so I added them myself. They were a little thick. I did not know but you can ask for pickles and they're free! They dropped off a large jar of pickles. Only two of us wanted them and they toss them if you don't finish them, so I took a few home. I only ate half my sandwich. Ir was super meaty. I recommend it! And the potato salad was a hearty scoop. I can't believe all of that was only $13 plus tax and tip. What a deal. Our food came out all together and didn't take forever. We sat. We ate. We charted. A good time was had! Checks came out promptly. Our group goes to this place often and I was pleasantly surprised that the server remembered some of the gal's usual drink order. Amazing! Great place for lunch! The antipasta salad was delicious. It was packed with lots of meat and I enjoyed the dressing. The garlic knots were PACKES with garlic. So much garlic that yes, it will fill your car, your fridge, and you may also smell like garlic. They were cooked great. As for the pepperoni pizza, it was just okay. It did have a good amount of pepperonis on it, but the pizza as a whole just lacked flavor. It was a bit bland. Also the bottom of the pizza needed to cook a bit more.
