I think they could add more sauce that has a bit more flavor to bring their pizza to the next level, but overall it's not bad. Although this is not my #1 TC pizza spot, I highly recommend it! My boyfriend and I arrived in chilly TC at around 8pm the other night after a long drive and wanted something quick and yummy to enjoy in our room for Thursday night football. The Acme location was due to close in 30 minutes, but still happily accepted our order. I am a very loyal fan of the Idaho pizza (basically a loaded baked potato in pizza form) so I ordered that and my boyfriend ordered chicken pesto. Both of our pizzas were fresh, hot, and delicious. That's a Pizza has really great pizza and salads. I have been ordering food from the Acme location for ten years. Good luck getting an order delivered in less than two hours from the Acme location. This has happened the last two times I have ordered. The first time I ordered I was told an hour for delivery, two hours later and still no pizza. When I called to find out what was taking so long, I got a slew of excuses. No apology or maybe a discount on my next order. The pizza showed up cold. The second time pretty much the same thing. I was told an hour and a half to an hour forty five, I thought they were being more realistic about there delivery times. Over two hours later still no pizza. This time they did give my a discount on my next pizza. That was fine until the pizza showed up cold again and smashed to the side of the box. I called back and they refunded my order. So they did better with their customer service. This is a recent development, I have not had this problem in all the years I have been ordering from them. There is something not working right at this location. Still unless I hear that they have figured out their problems, I won't be ordering anymore. read more

Worst pizza in Northern Michigan, and snarky service to go with it. About a year ago I swore I'd never order another pizza from them again. They are always late, and I'm not talking a few minutes but like an hour later than they say. You wait 2 hours for your pizza and no surprise, it's cold. So I call the store and the guy says, "Yeah? And when we moved to Traverse City, we just happened to move a mile away from some of the best mom-n-pop pizza in the Grand Traverse area. Perfect sauce-to-cheese-to crust ratio. All of their pizzas are good. Doesn't matter what you order. But do check out their daily menu for specialty 'za. They also have some tasty wraps and grilled sandwiches. Smoothies are quite tasty, too. Again, check the board for creative specials of sandwiches and smoothies. When I dine solo, it's cheesy breadsticks and Carolina Peanut Salad. They knew right where we were staying and told us the delivery person would be there in 45 minutes to an hour. It being 'round seven on a Saturday evening, and based on the reviews, I fully expected them to be late. Surprise! They were spot on punctual! The pizza was decent: Crust nice and crispy, not too much cheese, and the right amount of ingredients. So why doesn't this get more stars? Well, the sausage was in crumble, not pieces/chunks, and it tasted, well, (and I know this sounds absurd for something like sausage), processed/synthetic. The green olives and tomatoes instead of being sliced, were, as well, in bits and pieces. Now maybe this adds to an overall more uniform flavor, but I don't like it. One thing about which I definitely cannot complain? The price: Less than $20 for a 16" three-topping pizza. Back home, I'd be paying $10 more. So, would I order again? Yeah, sure. Pizza was pretty good but the person taking the phone orders was reallly dumb. We asked how many breadsticks are in an order and she said 4 to 5. So we ordered 3 orders. They delivered 3 huge (about the size of a 14in pizza) boxes of breadsticks. 12 bread sticks per box. We only needed 1 order. Visited on a Thursday night and got their Thursday special. XL 2-topping pizza and breadsticks or cinnamon sticks for $16.50. They both came out piping hot. Overly generous with the pizza toppings. Breadsticks were light and did not feel like you were eating too much bread. Ten booths inside. (Wished we would've thought to get it to go and taken it next door to the chairs and watched the lake view.) No wine. Although there were only about 1/2 the tables taken, the front was non-stop people coming in to pick up their pizzas to go. Funny story: We were recently in the Traverse City area on a mostly foodie vacation: Our goals were to only eat at restaurants we'd never eaten at before, and to find artisan foods to send to our out-of-state kids. This is hard work, people, and on about the third afternoon of our week we found ourselves too tired to go out to eat at one of the posh places we had on our list. We just couldn't do it. So we decided to order from the sad-looking little pizzeria next to our hotel...actually, we had it delivered, all 1000 or so feet to our room. Wow! We tried a pesto artichoke pizza with roasted peppers, a roasted portobella sandwich and a house salad featuring apples, dried cherries (because Traverse City), walnuts, gorgonzola and balsamic vinaigrette.
