Decided to try THB and was greeted by a big sign offering a free bagel with your first mobile order. Not so fast my friend. After giving all my personal information in the app and making my order it was still charging me. The counter person then explained there would be a minimum order to redeem the "free bagel". Nowhere on the sign or the app is this mentioned. You only get the surprise after surrendering your personal information. Not really a big deal but the in store response and interaction with their corporate marketing person was textbook case study on how to lose a customer over almost nothing. That is all :) read more

I woke up craving a bagel sandwich from THB. I was skeptical as I stopped going almost a year ago after countless bad experiences. Never with the food but horrible service. I often left frazzled after getting assaulted with eye rolls and my order number shouted at my face. I digress. Today was a great experience from ordering on the app to picking up the food. The gentleman out front of the restaurant was very professional and had a friendly demeanor. My sandwich was perfect!! Sausage, Egg & cheese everything whole wheat bagel sandwich and it was delicious. My partner got a iced coffee and he was VERY impressed as well. I rated them 4 stars only because I literally stopped going because of too many bad service experiences. I'm gonna start going again and hopefully this 4 star will become a 5 star. I ate at THB yesterday around noon and it literally kept me full all day. No dinner needed. My go to is the ham, egg, and pepper jack cheese on an everything bagel with a side of home fries. I love that you can actually see them frying real eggs. Eggs out of a carton or egg patties taste fake to me-- not at this place! Their bagels are amazingly soft and wonderful. The home fries are very hit or miss- sometimes they're very greasy. But they're seasoned well and have onions in them. My choices are very indulgent so THB is definitely a once in awhile kind of thing for me but I crave it frequently! They do have some healthier options available- like scooped bagels. Why you would mutilate a bagel like that I'm not sure, but if that's your thing they have it :P I've never tried any of their lunch sandwiches because I always crave my actual go-to but they look very tasty as well! This place is never not busy so be ready to wait a little while during peak hours. They move the lines very quickly though. They also have a loyalty card program. Every dollar is a point and at 100 points you get a $5 discount which is enough for a breakfast sandwich. I'm a little ashamed that I'm up to 60 points but this place is so worth it. read more

CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! This is the second week in a row they screwed up my order Bagels are a special treat I only eat around the holidays because they are not nutritious at all. To me, it's akin to eating dessert for breakfast. So when I eat them, I don't want shenanigans. Both times I ordered a toasted everything bagel , buttered with cream cheese on the side. Each time I checked the appropriate boxes AND specified buttered with cream cheese on the side. The easiest order in the world, for a place with "bagel" in their name. The first week they gave me salad dressing instead of cream cheese!!! This week my bagel wasn't buttered. They didn't even put butter on the side. The onion on the bagel was completely burnt. Also, while I was trying to order online, halfway through my order it stopped working and a message appeared saying they were closed. I called the store to make sure they were open, and they indeed were. They had to shut down online ordering to "catch up ". 10 min later online ordering was back up. So I ordered , and it was going to be ready in 20-25 min. 10 min later I get a text saying it's ready. Luckily I was close by, I thought at the time, because who wants to eat a cold, bagel! Well I should have checked before I left after last week's screw-up, but I didn't. So now I have a cold, yet burnt, dry bagel that I have to re-toast and butter when I get home, which is 20 Mins away. read more

I finally craved a bagel sandwich earlier this week. I never eat breakfast food or lunch food. It's always dinner. But this day I wanted an everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, and onions. I GOT SO MUCH MORE THAN I ASKED FOR I wish I had a photo but the sandwich was so good I just inhaled it. I got the Balt Nova sandwich and added sprouts, capers, onions, and pesto spread. It was incredible. That was my first experience with THB, and it was so good, I told my partner we had to get lunch there this past Saturday because he lives walking distance from there. Crazy lines! Plus I ordered ahead of time via phone....YOU STILL NERD TO WAIT IN THIS LONG LINE!!! Makes no sense! Most places have a separate line for pick up! This is huge problem.... I've been coming to the timonium location for awhile and, at least once a month, I get 1-2 dozen bagels to go. We like the bagels but the quality control has taken a hit lately. There's no reason to put burned or very well done bagels in the bag. It's not like I'm going back to timonium to return the bad ones. I can understand that some bagels may get away from the cook when being made but they shouldn't make it into the bin orders are filled from. Certainly, who ever is filling the orders should be throwing away the burned ones or the ones too well done, not filling the order with them. I've tried to be loyal, especially during these trying times but maybe time to start with another bagel store. read more

I ordered a straightforward bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. That was great. My issue/suggestion is that they should not take online orders if they are swamped. I placed an online order, drove to the the restaurant (10-12 minutes), and then waited 30 minutes. For a breakfast sandwich. That is ridiculous. I appreciate that folks there were working hard. While I usually like the food here, I will never buy bagels here again. I just wanted 6 bagels out of the case. It was a busy Sunday morning with dozens of people waiting for their orders. It is ridiculous that I have to order my 6 bagels at the kiosk and the order goes in order of when I ordered. So just to get 6 unsliced, untoasted bagels to take home and nothing else, I have to wait for the complicated sandwich and cooked food orders of all 3 dozen people ahead of me to be completed before someone gets my order and walks to the case to pick out 6 bagels and put them in a bag for me. I had already paid at kiosk so I couldnt leave and had to wait about 45 minutes before I got my 6 bagels. NEVER again. They desperately need a separate line for bagels to go orders or they need to flag " bag of bagels" requests in the system and have a person filling them as they come in . Ill go to Uber bagel where someone at hte counter grabs my bagels for me. read more

Irresponsible. Food is solid Saturday morning breakfast. A tradition in our home. Only 1 star due to negligence. However... The care taken in reading a mobile order and preparing it as needed. For the 3rd time I ordered an egg and meat bagel for my son. Meat and egg. To make sure no cheese I even make a note in the special instructions area of their mobile app. He has a dairy allergy. A bad dairy allergy. And for a 3rd time I unwrapped his sandwich and it was smothered in cheese. There is no excuse for this. This used to be one of my regular places to grab food. I discovered this place after a doctor's appointment during the pandemic. The last time I have been to this THB location was months ago due to an incident that occurred. I went to pick up my order and my son's order. I was immediately greeted with "Can I help you?" I kept being asked that looking on the pick up shelf for my order and then my son's order. My son's order came with a drink so I had to call him and ask him what drink he wanted. I got his drink and walked back to his car about 3-4 rows over from THB. I got in my son's car and placed everything accordingly to be transported back home. I was immediately met by a worker asking me if I took someone's order? I was drilled about this and I told the man I had two orders. This has NEVER been a problem before. The man stated people have been stealing orders. REALLY??!!! First of all I had been in the store all that time and your worker decided to follow me back to my son's vehicle. I am a black woman that was by herself being approached by a strange white man. Now given when I went into the store I was the only black customer in there at this time. This was not my first time in at all nor my family's. Maybe because I was dressed down this time I got racially profiled. I don't know, but if there is such a problem with orders being stolen then PUT THE ORDERS BEHIND THE COUNTER AND HAVE THE CUSTOMERS GIVE THE ORDER NUMBER OR NAME OF PERSON FOR THR ORDER!!! Your orders being stolen does NOT JUSTIFY how I was treated. My husband is a range instructor, considering how many people are getting wear and carry licenses now, I would not be so quick to follow people you don't know back to their cars. This place is usually slammed - that's a key to a good business. THB is a local place that's better than Panera and has expanded outside of Towson. They have bagels, bagel sandwiches and eggs but I'm not sure about the coffee. That could use a little boost, along with the gluten free bagels (kinda heavy). They yell out order numbers like an auction and keep that line moving. The parking situation is good too because they have a large parking lot in the shopping center. read more

He even came over when we were placing our order on the screens to let him know if we had any questions and to let us know the wait time for our order. This location is hit or miss. When the bagels are fresh they are so so good. Soft and doughy inside with a chewy bite to the crust. Do not get them toasted! (Why would you toast a fresh bagel?) However we've been here on many Saturday mornings close to opening time and have received hard, day old bagels, which is a turn off. It's happened so many times that my 2 year old won't eat bagels anymore because he says they are too hard. I wish the consistency was there because I'd be there every weekend, but now I'm cautious about when I go. On Friday mornings after 8 the bagels are fresh! But now that I've graduated two years ago and have moved out of state, I still crave for their bagels and look for a reason to visit Towson just to get some THB back into my life again. His way of being funny in front of his coworkers was to be incredibly ignorant to me. Telling me he was out of everything I ordered and what was I going to do about it. The last time I called to try to get a refund the woman said she was sending a sandwich, it never came.
