This place has really good bagels. We often come here. But today, it was busy and cashier lacked a personality and manners! I felt rushed and she just wanted to get onto the next. Although, we had knew exactly what we were going to order but still felt rushed. Seriously need to work on customer service for your cashier. Amazing bagels! Stopped in this morning for the first time. A nurse at Mercy said they had an amazing breakfast. I was short on time so I ordered a Egg & cheese on an everything bagel to go. Really close to home. Bagels are tasty tasty. My husband has the most complicated order ever and they always seem to get it right (Bacon egg & cheese on one side and cream cheese on the other, served open face). The sandwiches always come out quickly despite the line that is always forming. Would go daily if I could. My only recommendation would be to have plain flavored iced coffee instead of only other flavors, but that is just my personal preference. read more

Horrible customer service mixed with mediocre bagels is why I will never be coming back. I ordered 3 sandwiches and waited for my order to be called. Once the order was called I grabbed it and left. I got home and realized there were only 2 sandwiches in the bag so I went back. On my return, I went to the person that handed me my order and said I am missing a sandwich. She turns around, grabs it and throws it onto the counter and that's it. No apology... nothing. Now the worst part is that the manager is standing and watching this whole thing happen and doesn't even bat an eye. Now I have worked a lot of customer service jobs in my life and if I ever treated anyone like this I would have been swiftly reprimanded. Worse yet... if a manager saw this happen and did not intervene then they would be fired on the spot. To be clear, I am not calling for anyone to be fired... but come on... do your job... My first time visiting after hearing a few family members talk about it. I went on a weekday around 10am. A lot of people sitting and eating already but not a long wait to order or to receive food. I got a bacon and egg onion bagel sandwich and chicken salad on an everything bagel. It came with lettuce and tomatoes and a pickle on the side. Bacon and egg was good and filling. "Best" bagels ever! I hadn't been in awhile since I went gluten free, was really graving their Italian omelet, when I was placing my order via phone and the young lady asked what type of bagel I wanted, my reply was, no bagel I eat gluten free, she stated, we have gluten free plain and everything bagels...thank you, thank you. We never went here based on the reviews but we were in a bind the other day and went for the first time. The inside was actually nicer than I expected. I didn't realize they would have as much seating as they did. The staff was friendly. We ordered the Italian omelette, which came with a bagel and breakfast potatoes. The omelette was a good size and the sausage was really yummy. We had the pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese. The bagel was toasted on the outside but super soft on the inside. It tasted really fresh. The cream cheese was really good. The potatoes were ok. They were a little soft and I typically like them crunchy or crispy. It was a lot of food for a good price. read more

Good food, broken process. I've been a fan and patron of THB (specifically this location) for many years. I made the mistake of ordering over the phone with the intent of picking up at 10am on a Sunday. BAD IDEA. I struggled to find parking and saw the line was outside the door. I thought about standing in the line but then decided to look inside to see if it was truly a line or a group of people waiting at the entrance. Walking inside I spotted the "Online Ordering Pick Up" sign with arrows and proceeded to ask if I needed to stand in line. I waited while a Caucasian gentlemen with the same issue I had was served and allowed to pickup his meal while I was told to go in line and wait while the next customer was called. I HATE using the race card and typically shy away from using that as an excuse, but I just cannot rightfully do that this time. THB, you have officially lost a customer. To be honest, I live a paleo lifestyle and was going to use this as a "cheat" meal but I much prefer to go home, slave over my kitchen using wholesome ingredients to cook my meal before I'd ever patronize you again-regardless of the location. Why can't they get an order right? Is the ordering breakdown at the order taker, or the cooks? On a Sunday, my wife didn't get the breakfast sandwich she ordered. She went to the register, and very frustrated came back with her original breakfast sandwich, and another bagle. So, at the table, she reassembled a bagle sandwich with the correct bagle. Went with a colleague for a brief bagel bite. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with butter and they ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese. Service was fast. I can only describe the staff I spoke with as unoffensive; not rude, but distracted, distant or disengaged. Many of the booths were littered with crumbs so we chose a table with the least clutter. The bagels were well toasted but bland and very chewy. No flavor except for the raisins. What disgusted us both were the flies... lots of flies. Including a few inside the Bagel Case! What's to complain about? It's a freaking bagel place. I come here on the regular, and I always get a sausage, egg, tomato & cheese on an egg bagel. They messed up once over the phone and gave me a sesame seed bagel, no idea why, but I guess it's hard to hear over their phone. It didn't bother me too much because I know we're not perfect and sometimes people mess up. I would have to DISAGREE that Dunkin Donuts is better. I've eaten their SE&C bagels and their eggs look like they came out of a freezer. Gross. I've had bagels all up and down York Road and these are by far one of the less greasy ones. They have decent service time. It has taken at least 10 minutes a few times, but they are pretty busy when that happens. Most of the time it is very quick. I am a local to the area so when I don't want to wait, I call 5 minutes in advance and it's usually ready when I get there. I like that they have free water cups, and do not rush you to leave. Improvements: --I think it would be a better place if they had a designated waiting area and had staff go around from time to time asking how everything went. --I also agree with other comments that they should be more pro-active about utilizing their customer appreciation cards. I forget to use it sometimes and it doesn't apply to old orders if you forgot it, which makes sense to not get fraud but it also can be disheartening if you're still there and realize it. read more

This has become a regular place for me since it is so close to my office and I LOVE salt bagels. (Please don't tell my Doctor, OK?) Very clean place, smooth, nice atmosphere. Great coffee. I LOVE the fact that they will either 1) slice your bagel thin OR 2) scoop it out for less carbs on your sandwich. My roast beef was terrific, and the scooped out option was a good one (voted by both my husband and myself.) I've enjoyed great service and yummy food so far. A bagel with cream cheese and lox for $10? WTF? There's nothing special about this place, but the orange decor and T-shirts can fool you. I have been eating Wegman's bagels for a year, and wanted to try this place. The first time I did THB, I got my usual everything bagel and butter that I get from Wegman's and it was mediocre. I tried again a month later and it was the same mediocre product. Well today I thought let me try them again and try some else, hence the mediocre bagel and lox. I have eaten way too many bagels here. My favorite is the bacon-egg-cheese on an everything toasted. They are very generous with the bacon and everything comes out perfectly formed and melted. The bagel is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. So perfect. One tip I have for you is that if you like the Towson location on Allegany Ave do yourself a favor and take a quick drive up York Rd. You'll find the same great bagels but with much more seating, abundant free parking, and much more room to sit down. There are a number of bagel options in the Towson-Timonium corridor. THB is always near the top of my list. They have started to charge for coffee refills so you won't be able to sit around all day and work on your novel. But they do have wifi and the password is on your receipt, so you can check your email and maybe do a little bit of work over breakfast or lunch. read more

I tried the veggie cream cheese and it was not my favorite. The veggies were a little too chunky and there were bits of cucumber giving it a mushy texture in parts. Thank you THB for opening a Lutherville location- welcome to the neighborhood! When I saw the sign a few months ago I couldn't wait! Lutherville is so lacking in the bagel/breakfast department and the thought of even considering going to Bagel Works makes me sick (the place is filthy and smells) and I don't know how it is still open. But enough about that! It is a pretty big space and everything was very clean. Service was fast and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. They have a good selection of coffee and bagels. You really cannot go wrong with any of their bagels. I really like their everything bagel and when it comes to what I order here I stick to the basics- Egg and Cheese on a bagel with the occasional bacon or sausage on it as well. When it comes to ordering I recommend sticking to what they are known for bagels and breakfast sandwiches (I haven't had the best experience ordering their regular sandwich's) so it is best to keep it simple. My friend ordered tuna and said it was fine. I don't recommend their home fries (I haven't had them at this location but I know that they are not good from the Towson location so I cannot imagine that there is a difference that way between locations) we have ordered them a few times and they are greasy and lack flavor. The fries are ok, nothing special. With all this said THB is a great new addition to Lutherville and will be a regular addition to my weekends. read more

Ok, first of all, this isn't really a 4 star joint. A solid 3, stretch that to a 3.5 if you squint and the light hits you at the right angle. I've been here twice (3 star first time, 5 star second, average 4). The second time, I was meeting a friend of mine who was wrestling with some philosphical issues. I went mid-morning on a Monday and it wasn't busy at all. There were plenty of employees behind the counter, and the cashier was polite and helpful. I ordered a wheat bagel with three egg whites and tomatoes. The bagel was pretty good, but that was about all I got. They forgot to put tomatoes on it, and when I asked for them I got a couple of small, paper thin slices. And there were so few egg whites that they didn't even cover the whole bagel. So, I pretty much just ate a bagel. THB in Towson has spoiled me with their heartier egg sandwiches with generous amounts of egg and thick slices of tomatoes. this was my first time at a THB location and I've had high expectations since I've heard some people rave about it. I got an Asiago bagel with lox and scallion cream cheese. the bagel was delicious, the lox never made it on the bagel so I had to go back and the cream cheese wasn't creamy, it tasted stale and old. the lox wasn't smoked and it all around ruined how delicious the bagel was. then I got an iced latte and they didn't have soy milk and only put a little bit of espresso in the latte so it was basically coffee flavored whole milk. what kind of place calls themselves a cafe but doesn't know how to properly make a latte and doesn't offer people soy? read more
