Very disappointed - hubby ordered cup of chili and Caesar, I ordered an Asian chicken. Sent both salads back, lettuce was brown. I ordered a cup of creamy, chicken and rice soup. It was cold, never warmed. Sent that back too and just had coffee and watched hubby eat his chili. Manager never came by to check on the situation or apologize and was surprised they still charged us for the chili and coffee. Won't be back. read more

The worst breakfast i have ever had. I ordered a french toast and had a hair in the toast a long one it was so gross . Got it replaced but no one bothered to apologize for it. The toast tasted OK for much i have given the 1 star. Ordered a grapefruit juice which they said was freshly squeezed i DO NOT think it was freshly squeezed. Went at 1130am. Before the lunch "rush". Friend and I ordered 2 burgers. It took 30 minutes to have them brought to the table. Unacceptable when there we possibly only 4 tables seated TOTAL. Had breakfast here yesterday (Saturday morning). There were very few people in the restaurant, surprisingly. The food and service were decent overall. I don't recommend the steak and eggs as the steak has no flavor. Several in our party of 6 loved their French toast. One said the Hawaiian French Toast was the best she'd ever had. Only get the pot roast burrito if you like exceptionally spicy food. We'll be back again sometime. read more

Today when I woke up I was in the mood for brunch food. So, I searched brunch restaurants in my area and I came across this cute little restaurant called The 5 Spot. I was really looking forward to dining in a this 4.6 star restaurant. When I showed up the waitress wasn't smiling or friendly. I ordered an omelette ( which didn't come out as a omelette) it looked like something I could have done at home. The omelette was not soft, cheese was hard( not cheesy; gooey like). Their utensils was not cleaned properly! Then the service was very poor! Not once did the waitress came back to check up on us. I'm sorry but I will not be returning to this place. read more

I ordered from GrubHub. My food was delicious from this restaurant. As soon as I started opening my order I noticed my lemon cream cake was missing. As I was looking up the phone number to call about it. A girl appeared at my door with my missing dessert. I thought it was pretty awesome that they took the time out to deliver it personally to me when they realized it wasn't in with the rest of my order. Plus they have an order-ahead drive thru window. Ate there for the first time about a month or so ago and have been back several times since, as I want to try everything on the menu!! Felicia has the egg white and veggie omelette, it was light and exquisite and still filling. Revelta had the chicken parm.... and it was to DIE FOR. This chicken was juicier than a goose and so delectable. Debby Grace had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce paired with the smooth runny yoke, just so wonderfully accented the breakfast potatoes. Don't even get me started on the ham with the English muffin. YUM. Overall it was a great experience, it also took too short to get to our table as Kofo said. We searched for a cool place to eat outdoors on this beautiful Labor Day Sunday. We found 5 Spot Cafe which we discovered is a best kept secret. We sat on a patio listening to great rock & roll music over the system, and enjoying the breezes. We were seated by the owner who proudly told us about their ciabatta bread and various baked goods provided by 5 bakeries, and their award winning cheeseburger. We noticed their special was a pasta carbonara so we ordered that and a burger to share. Both excellent. The pasta was only $7.99 and it was served in a basic bowl, but it was chef-prepared (as far as we could discern). So tasty! And two farmers-market quality side salads were just $1.99 each. The owner delivered some of his ciabatta bread for us to sample too. Overall, great lunch experience on a great day. Wanted to share with the public!! And we'll tell our friends too. By the way, they also serve craft beers, wines, sangrias, and mimosas for future visits. No mixed cocktails on the menu we saw! We'll be back. Our second visit to this place did not go well. The rude waitress that came to seat our party was really rude and should not be dealing with the public. She was determined to seat Mr. Inconsiderate who came into the place after us. I informed her that we would like to be seated before him, since we had been waiting, and he had just barged in, but she decided to be a smart-mouth instead. She embarrassed herself by trying to ignore us, and seating him anyway, but could not find a clean table for his "party of one". Hilarious. After we did get seated by someone else, we had a marvelous waiter. But, the food was mediocre, at best. Some sad French toast. Go elsewhere for an overall pleasant meal experience. read more

Came here from Yelp and Google reviews while visiting family. Unfortunately nothing was close to the 4 stars I hoped for. Had to ask for coffee and water while I waited for my companion (the restaurant was 75% empty so I didn't feel bad waiting at a table). It was a toss up between the Ruben and burger, server recommended the Ruben. I love Rubens so went with it. The two biggest pieces of meat that comprised at least 50% of the sandwich were completely impervious to being bit into, completely. What I could eat was just average at best. When the server asked how my meal was and I told her she barely apologized and subsequently, as I was not surprised, there was no "make good". Now, I was a server for over five years from a pizza joint to a white table cloth restaurant. I have an opinion as to the minimum (a sincere apology by the manager) and maximum (remove the item from the check) "make good" on a situation like this. We were excited to try this place out, as we'd never heard of it and it's close by. Seemed like a nice local business to support. We were not impressed. Food was just okay. My wife and son had the grill cheese, my other son and I had 2 different burgers. Food was very average, fries could be crispier. Maybe breakfast items are better. Service was NOT good at all! First trip to this place today, didn't even know it existed. Looked at Yelp and saw it listed. This building has been several things over the past few years. Not crowded on a Sunday morning, at least before the usual church crowd might get out. The cinnamon pecan French toast was excellent. Everything else was good, pancakes, bacon, eggs. Certainly a cut above WH or IHOP. Not a hipster spot, but '80's New Wave playing in the background made it that much better. Slow for that second cup of coffee, that's the only thing I can ding it for. Highly recommend as a breakfast spot. read more
