This is a great spot for good times with some nice Greek food. I enjoyed nearly all of my food here with the exception of the avgolemono soup which was not being that good compared to many other versions I have had as it lacked chicken meat and also had no lemon flavor. They do have an amazing dessert selection so you want to make sure you save room for that. Greeks are famous for their delicious food for a good reason as it is some of the healthiest and most delicious food in the world. Greek restaurants are popular for a reason as they make amazing food. Chattanooga has some of the best places to eat I've experienced in Tennessee so I'm happy to have found this really great Greek restaurant as I'm a big fan of Greek food. We got seated immediately, unfortunately the table was pretty wobbly , when we asked if they could fix it they did so right away. I would say it had a more laidback atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The food was great! My favorite was the lemon chicken soup but everything was really good. I normally don't order calamari because sometimes it's chewy and not made well so I don't chance it, this seasoned really well though. My beer was walk the lime and didn't come with a lemon, I used what came with the calamari and definitely recommend trying it. Our server was Colby and even though it got busy he made sure our drinks were full and cleared the table as he went. In summary some of the flavors were different then what some palates are used to and may consider exotic to an American, I really enjoyed it! They also have dishes that are more like regular burgers and steaks if you're a mixed group who have people who usually order the same thing when they're out. read more

I decided to go out and try a new spot. This has good rating and it wasn't far. Parking was free and there were plenty of places to park. I was greeted when I arrived and immediately seated. It was just me so I had a corner spot and had a view of the TV. I ordered the chicken souvlaki sandwich with fries. It didn't take long for my food to come. My server seemed busy but she was attentive for what I needed. The food was good. I didn't realize that it was a sit down, family restaurant prior to arriving so next time, I will try some of the other menu items. I was just in the mood for a pita sandwich. I arrived at about 7:30 PM. I was seated immediately, and I sat at the bar. The barkeeper was very nice. I ordered one of their Specials, Seafood Mac-N-Cheese with Greek Salad. And since I ate here within a week of my birthday, I was able to get a free dessert (more on that later). The bathroom was clean, classy, and offered paper towels. My salad arrived first, and it took 5 minutes and 30 seconds to arrive. It was a nice, refreshing salad. My Seafood Mac-N-Cheese came about 12 minutes and 12 seconds later. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with this. The description on the menu mentioned it was made with smoked gouda, but I didn't taste any smokiness. While it wasn't bad overall, I was expecting better. There was an employee who had a real fanciful beard and mustache who inquired about my meal and I explained my issue with it. He said that the Ravioli La Creama entree should have a more smoky flavor if that's what you're after. Anyway, for the free birthday dessert, I could get either a Strawberry Passion Cake or a Chocolate Lovers Cake. I opted for the Strawberry cake. The cake was very light and strawberry tasting, so it was what I was looking for. Overall, while I was somewhat letdown by my entree, I still had a pleasant time here. read more

We came in at 8:56, and the place closes at 9, but we were given the best serves as if they had just opened. My son had the American cheddar burger with fries, my daughter had the Cajun shrimp and sausage pasta, dad had the grouper lemon grilled fish, and of course i ordered a glass of wine, lentil soup, and veggie lemon pasta. We were seated quickly and our waitress was attentive and nice. Saganaki: I love a good Saganaki. From the flambé to the soft pita you'll be sure to get this appy again and again. Who doesn't love flaming Kaseri cheese Dolmates grape leaves: I was surprised that these were filled with meat. Absolutely enjoyed it. They're chunky and that lemon sauce was perfect. Soups: we got the lemon chicken and the sausage gumbo and we loved them both! The lemon chicken was creamy and the gumbo was probably my favorite thing they ordered. The flavor was bold and great for the cold weather. Trout with crab cakes: this was so-so for me actually Mixed grill: loved the variety! Great steak seasoning. Incredible experience. On vacation my wife and I like to eat at different restaurants. We rarely eat anywhere twice when traveling but we at here 3 times. It reminded me of all the exceptional Greek restaurants in the south Chicago suburbs when I lived there. (3.5 stars) So I'd been to Acropolis many years ago and remember it being too oily for me. But I've really been craving Mediterranean food lately and when I don't feel like driving to Olive Branch in East Ridge, I go to Acropolis. Today I was craving falafel, and Acropolis has a falafel pita that I ordered curbside. It was pretty good. The falafel was a bit too thick and, therefore, mushy inside. I prefer smaller pieces of falafel because they can get crispy on the outside and more cooked on the inside. The flavor of the falafel was good, though; seasoned well. There were about 3 pieces of falafel in the pita, which I think is pretty standard for this area. I appreciate that they put the tzatziki on the side, but I think I'll ask for an extra container of it the next time I go; one wasn't enough. I also ordered the greek eggrolls. These were flavored well, too, but were too oily for me. I might try them again if I ever sit in the restaurant, but I won't order them again to-go. I ordered a piece of sugar-free strawberry cake as well as I've heard that it's really good, and it IS really good. (Side note: I've also heard that the dessert there is much better than the food there, any my experience today confirms that) I was expecting some kind of after taste since it's sweetened with Splenda, but all I tasted was moist, cakey goodness. The whipped topping is also really good, and the slice is rather large. So, 3.5 because there were some notes for the food, but the dessert was quite nice. Definitely an Americanized "Greek" Restaurant. The food was mediocre. It was Greek-based but it wasn't fresh. The gyro was not made from scratch, more like made from the fridge. There wasn't fresh homemade tzatziki. I get people try to appeal to many tastes but I was a little suspect when I saw nachos at a Greek restaurant. The meat dolmas were okay. But for me the final nail in the coffin was the cannolis on the menu. They were filled not with ricotta but cardamom and cream. No thank you. The redeeming quality was the service. First time visit. We picked up our new car from the local Infiniti dealer and decided to treat my wife to dinner. Food and service were both really good. This is not a chain, locally owned, and the food is fresh, not prepackaged. Never felt rushed. Next time I want to save room for dessert or I'm going to get some to go. They had some cakes that looked awesome! I had the lemon chicken, which was delicious, and my wife had the sea bass, and she enjoyed it. I highly recommend this restaurant. This place was a good find. My husband and I were looking for a spot with lots of vegetarian options and this place hit the mark. I honestly think I chose the most underwhelming thing with the falafel that was so so. I think the patties were too big so the inside was kind of undercooked and mushy. My husband had the farmers pie which looked delicious. He ate it all so I'd say it was good. They had this cute gimmick where you could order saganaki (or however you spell it) and say "opa!" When they lit it at your table. It was a cute little thing. One of the best Greek restaurants I have ever been to. Granted it's not your authentic Greek food, but still it was an amazing experience. I ordered take out and they have so much on their menu to choose from I just wanted to get everything. I must say everything that I ended up ordering was mouth watering delicious. Started with the Greek Egg Rolls and I would go back here just for those egg rolls alone. So crispy and filled with lamb, olives, cucumber, feta, lettuce and the combo was just heaven in my mouth. Gyro Plate with a side of fries and veggies was my main entree. Their gyro meat was seasoned well and I liked the fact that they had lettuce inside of it it was a nice touch. Their roasted zucchini and squash was some of the most savory vegetables I have had in my life. I didn't want it to end. They did forgot my baklava but I realized it before I made it home and was so glad I was able to go back and get it and they were so nice about it. They apologized and made an honest mistake it happens. I loved their Baklava just the right amount of sweetness for me. This place is great! We ate here last year accidentally on our way to Gatlinburg, and intentionally planned our trip to eat here on the way back. Excellent service. Lots of choices -- from soup, to salad, to pastas and traditionally Greek food. All yummy. I got a Greek salad with gyro, and it cake with soup! read more
