My California omelet was very delicious well made. With a side of what they call "angry hash". So I'm thinking it's potatoes that have seasoned it but there's actually bits of what I believe is chorizo ..a little on the spicy side which I like. No complaints here. Throw in cool fruits like watermelon and melon within a couple of cubes to cool off your palate in case you're having issues with the spiciness. Waitress was great ..very accomdating.. But their coffee I'm sorry it's horrible. Even with the new pot Brewing the coffee still had a bitterness that I may have been over roasted. It's fine once you put cream and sugar if you prefer your coffee that way.. I'm not a coffee drinker but for the person who sat across from me it wasn't your best blend I suggest you find others that are a little bit smoother or just check the beans. It may have been a bad set of beans from whoever is your supplier. Now I'm going to speak about the person who sat across from me we are both Foodies from Fairfield County so our palate is very extensive. He ordered the French toast with mascarpone cream ..a really great idea ..I love it. However I also tasted into this creation and was also heavily dissatisfied. Texas toast is not a toast for french toast. The toast needs to absorb the eggness mixture in which to dip in it. There was no cinnamon or vanilla to have the toast be aromatic and flavorful. This is crucial. the bottom line is use the Texas toast for the sandwiches which is still too thick of a toast. Use a challah, a brioche or even yet you could try a thick slice of raisin bread this way you avoid any additional flavor just dip egg and milk mixture and put on the grill. This wasn't saturated at all and was hard to cut, making it dry.. I'm very surprised that the owner's wife came out and asked us if we had some suggestions after my friend voiced his concerns to the waitress.. this clearly means a lot as it means that you continue to take suggestions to make your business better and your customers happier. I'm glad to hear the bread came from a bakery fresh. I love the menu we'll be back someday. It was my first time there, it wasn't my companions. read more

Today was my third visit to The Angry Egg and once again it was yummy! I had the Portobello Sandwich today with their hand cut French Fries (I asked for a side of their chipotle mayo to dip my fries in)..Delish. I have also had the Angry Egg Sammich and Breakfast Casserole...everything is fresh and flavorful. Best coffee around, portions a great (for 3 teenage boys) and my boys like the locally produced Hosmer sodas. It's a cute and comfy place where you feel like family. My boyfriend and I enjoy trying out new breakfast places and we found this one on Yelp and decided to give it a go. Honestly, I will most likely not be going back any time soon. There were two waitresses when we got there- one was nice and chipper and the second seemed like she would rather be anywhere else but at work. My boyfriend ordered a waffle without the berries on top with the pepper bacon and I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and we each got coffees. The coffee honestly tasted sour, I took two sips and was done. When our food arrived it was clear that the berries were originally on the waffle and then removed and the bacon was cold. The waffle had similar texture to a fried dough rather a Belgium waffle. My pancakes were less than thrilling. They were extremely dense and had a weird flavor. I ate less than one. Overall this place deserves a 3 out of 5. It was clean, and the waitress mostly listened to us. read more

Definitely want to go back to try again. It was one dish and one day, everyone has off days. My fiance and I wanted to share a meal because she eats very small portions and I wasn't overly starving. As soon as the waitress heard that her smile turned into a frown. We ordered the I am hangry meal with ice easy eggs. We got scrambled eggs instead, we didnt want to have to wait for new eggs sonwe just tried eating those. They were awful and so were the pancakes; I like light and fluffy pancakes and theses these white thick and dense. The maple butter however was amazing! I believe the blonde woman who was asking us about our food was the owner, if she is, awesome! She told me where she gets her sausages from, was very warm and welcoming. Their food is okay, but I've always eaten it as take-out. My friends and I decided to go one Sunday morning and expected it to be crowded - it was. We put our name in and were told 15-20 min wait. No issues from us, but we were literally next in line and they decided to seat another party of 5 in front of us. Maybe I am taking this out of context, but they were all elderly ladies. Usually this does not bother me and I am more than willing to give up my spot IF IM ASKED. We were not asked, this party made a point to go up and tell the counter they were next and seemed to make it out like we had run into the restaurant before them or that we bypassed them completely. No. As someone who has worked as a server, you go by your list. I would have been more than accommodating, but it felt extremely uncomfortable to stay there. I didn't make a scene, but I did say something to the nice girl working at the counter and seating everyone. She seemed uncomfortable because she knew she had messed up. It's a principle thing. Again, food is ok but service is lack luster. Probably won't eat here again because this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

This is a brand new business but we have already been twice!! First the decor is lovely it's very home-y and super cute! They used many local artists and business when choosing their decor, but added in their own spin to things and it was enjoyable to look it. The staff we encountered were all very kind and quick and educated on this new menu! Lastly, but certainly not least the food was amazing! My children were happy :) the bacon was made just right! Our entire party all ordered something different and we were all more than pleased. It was delicious! My wife and I went there after church today. She ordered the Belgian waffle and I ordered the Angry breakfast. The bacon on both of our meals was like leftover on the side of the grill, all curled up and not fresh. The hashbrowns were burnt and you could see they had been left on the grill for a long time. I asked for a check and told the waitress that we were not happy. She spoke to the owner who reduced our check by 10% which wasn't even the cost of one of our coffees. Perhaps our problem was we went there just after 1 PM and they close at 2 PM so we got the food that was left on the grill. The man beside us got his meal and complained to the waitress about the bacon also. We will not be returning. read more

Visited on a Sunday morning with my family at 9:15. We waited for about 15 minutes for a table. They have no seating while you wait so You're forced to either hover around Peoples table while they are eating or standing outside on the sidewalk glad it was a nice sunny day and wasn't cold or rainy. When we were seated we were waited on promptly for beverages. I ordered coffee and water, got the coffee quickly but the water never came and I had to remind my waitress. I ordered 2 eggs, rye toast, turkey sausage and fruit. Food came out fast, but toast was wheat and not rye and they forgot my sausage. By the time they straightened out my order my eggs were cold and the sausage they brought was pork and not turkey, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait again for them to make the correction. Everyone else at my tables order was correct and tasty so that's I'm giving it 3 stars and not 2. I'll probably give them another chance based on everyone else's order but my service specifically left a lot to be desired! read more

Well, right off the bat it is super cute in there. I went on a Wednesday and I was pleasantly surprised to see ladies in the kitchen. Being a female chef myself, I am always happy to support the ladies! I had the California omelet. Now, being a quasi-vegetarian, I asked if I could sub out the Angry Hash ( meat lovers delight) for something else. I was offered a selection of items that would align with my morals and taste buds so I chose fresh fruit. The gal who took our order was friendly, funny, smart. and fast. My friend got the gigantic French Toast. My omelet was fantastic, the avocado and fresh salsa garnish w mozz, peppers and onions, so so good. The salsa is FRESH, made in house not some stale old bottled up nonsense. The French Toast is GIANT! I will admit when my partner got up to use the ladies room (which is also super cute) I stole a few bites. It too was delicious. The coffee was excellent, Baronet coffee. The music was great too, the staff and entire atmosphere made this our new go-to breakfast joint. read more
