Wade was fantastic. On time. Honest. We talked over the well known issues with Samsung refrigerators and freezers and he presented us with options. We decided to try an old fashioned reboot and 36 hour defrost to see if the freezer will correct itself after being left open overnight. He helped improve the seal on the doors and freezer, explained how we could reduce the moisture in the fridge, and showed us some things we did not know about our unit. He was not rushed and gave me all the time I needed. I fully expected, based on reading reviews of other companies, to be told we needed a new compressor or something very detailed and costly. For a $75 visit we learned a lot about our unit, the refrigerator is already operating better, and we're hopeful the 36 hour reset will get us back on track. I appreciated Wade's communications via text to diagnose my refrigerator issue. He did come out to my home at the projected service time. Wow, I found Wade thanks to the other positive reviews on here and I would give him more than 5 stars if I could. My fridge started acting funny, the ice maker shut down and all of the items in the fridge/freezer came to room temperature. Being that the appliance itself isn't too old, I wasn't keen to go and purchase a new one. Wade to the rescue! He offered a window of time that he would come out for a consultation, thoroughly ran all of the codes and diagnosed it as needing a new control board. One week later he came and installed the new part and now we have cold food! He is polite, very communicative, work a mask, was punctual in both visit windows, and definitely knows his stuff. I have to write this on behalf of my wife who needed a repair guy in Carlsbad. We run a little vacation rental and normally I would have handled this sort of thing but I was out of town. My wife has a rare condition where she is the same height standing up as she is sitting down and this can make it very hard for her to get around without assistance. When the dryer broke at our rental she needed someone to come out and fix it ASAP. She used Google and found Wade. His voicemail stated to leave a name & number and he would be in touch but maybe not for a while since he only looks at his phone once every few hours (he also said if you text him he will reply once but then you have to wait several hours for him to reply again...very odd). Eventually Wade did respond via text and she told him the problem with the dryer - it would not spin! Wade said he could come out the following day - a Friday - but only at 10am and then after that he was booked through the weekend. Well since we had renters in the property my wife said yes, please come by, but explained she wouldn't be there because she had a doctor appt at that time where she goes monthly to be weighed in a saltwater pool to make sure she isn't losing more bone density (my wife's condition is a bone condition and makes it impossible for her to float in normal water). Wade didn't respond until later that night. He told my wife he expected payment for the service call on the spot and then any additional repair charges could be covered after the work was complete. Seemed fair enough. My wife told Wade she couldn't be there but would have a neighbor swing by to pay him the $60 cash for the call and then he could call her to get the approval for any repairs. Wade told my wife, That's not how this works. Now my wife was confused: I'm just trying to make sure you get paid, she said. Please try to work with me a little. Eventually Wade responded with, OK. So the next day my wife went to her appointment at the pool and Wade arrived to fix the dryer. As planned, our neighbor Sheri came to meet Wade on the property. After making a quick assessment he decided the belt needed to be replaced and called my wife to get approval. She was floating in the pool and couldn't answer, so Sheri directed him to call me. Luckily, I answered and told Wade to go ahead and make the repairs. Sheri could pay him and we would reimburse her. Now - this next part I only heard later from Sheri: apparently the whole time I was on the phone with Wade he was rolling his eyes and sighing and making a blah blah blah hand gesture! All while I was simply trying to explain my wife's bone condition and make sure he got paid! In fact, the only thing Wade ever said to me on the phone was "uh huh, uh huh, uh huh." Finally he agreed to do the repair and got the dryer working. Sheri paid him and he left. Price was not unreasonable. Believe it or not, Several days later we had a problem with the dang washing machine! So I called Wade. And that's when Wade told me HE WASNT INTERESTED IN DOING ANY MORE WORK WITH US because he "didn't like how we did business." I was flabbergasted. He had been fully paid and paid well for work that took him about 30 minutes. I was so frustrated I didn't press the issue any further. But I reckon it's probably a blessing that we've parted ways with Wade. We found another repair guy in San Diego who drives a van with a big dent in the side. Instead of fixing the dent he just got a sticker beside it that says "Jackie Chan Was Here". Now that's clever. That's someone I want on my team. Adios Wade. read more

I called after reading all these great Yelp reviews - 100% 5-star reviews, with words like "honest" and rates are "reasonable" and fair. No question Wade was responsive, fixed my dryer professionally and charged what I assumed was a fair price. My review may not be the 5-star that he has gotten from everyone else, but Yelp's 3-star is listed as "A-OK"...I'm not in any way giving a negative review...just more neutral than all the raves, and here's why: My assumption of fair price was based on (1) all those glowing reviews and (2) not knowing any better. Wade told me that the solenoid coils needed for my dryer were the much more expensive type...he even quoted a price of "$60 my cost", so who am I to argue. The invoice shows $70 in parts, and $135 total - certainly seems like $65 is reasonable for his labor. Only problem is, I kept the old solenoid coil set, looked them up after the fact, and found them on partselect.com for $14.26 and on amazon.com for $9.70. I think that a 100% markup on parts is probably customary and fair...but 672%?? And that certainly begs the question "why did he tell be they cost him $60?" My review is more of a caveat than anything else. What seems "reasonable" may just be buyer's lack of knowledge and unquestioning trust. When you read all the reviews, you're put into that state of unquestioning trust. Use this one review to keep up your guard. read more

We had a difficult-to-diagnose repair (control board failing, but only intermittently). These guys show up when they say they'll show up. They are friendly, clean, and get the work done. Our job took 3 visits to complete over the course of 4 weeks, so that was longer than we wanted. All in all, however, it was a difficult problem to figure out bc it would only fail intermittently. We accidently left our refrigerator's door open for 18 hours. We own a GE Profile side by side. The freezer part was cold, but the refrigerator part was warm. We called GE and they told us to unplug the refrigerator for 30 seconds to reset the computer. That did not work. We found Wade on a link for our neighborhood. I called Wade at 6:00 pm on Thursday night. He called me about an hour later. He told me that he didn't need to come to my house, he would just tell me how to fix my refrigerator. Wade told me to defrost the refrigerator by unplugging it for 24 hours and leaving the doors open and leave towels around the bottom to clean up the water. We did exactly what Wade told us. 24 hours later, plugged it in, waited about 5 hours until the refrigerator was at its perfect temperature! Thank you Wade for being so kind with your knowledge! After confirming my suspicions over the phone (failing igniter) and confirming that he had the replacement part on his truck, he was able to do the repair, same day, for a very reasonable price. My Kenmore washer stopped working. It stopped spinning and made a clanking sound instead. Of course it happened at time when I had a mountain of laundry to do. Found these guys through Craigslist. Spoke withe Wade the Owner. Told what happened he diagnosed it over the phone and told the price to fix it. I scheduled him to come by the next day. Sure enough it was the problem he quoted me on. Turns out this piece breaks on most washers sooned or later (coupling). Repaired it in 20 minutes for a very fair price. He seemed very honest so I asked him what he thought would break next. He told me the pump so I had him replace that as well. Saved myself the service charge so it was really reasonable. Wade did a great job for a very very fair price. For months, my washing machine has been limping along and not really working. I was concerned about looking for a repairman as the last one I called had a minimum of $100 service call + whatever the problem was. I called and left a message.
