Great food and a wonderful atmosphere! They even offer The Prisoner wine and plenty of it. The blue cheese olive martinis were outstanding, and the menu features hearty, down home favorites. I highly recommend the prosciutto pork chops. The pretzels with cheese and Brussels sprouts make excellent appetizers as well. The service was exceptional, and the restaurant is clearly very well managed. I highly recommend Arrogant Butcher to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

I went alone for my 21st birthday n I don't think i could've picked a better place then this one ! Service was 10/10 she covered my drinks and also kept an eye while I went to pee she was super nice and friendly! The manager is absolutely amazing and wonderful very nice people and u can tell there work environment is beautiful as well Rico the manager is definitely very welcoming and nice super fun guy , made me cry :) happy tears ofc ! Very clean and very nice bathrooms lighting is amazing and overall my food was delicious I went with a cheeseburger but its was very juicy n delicious the fries 100/10 I'll definitely be coming back a lot

Crispy Chicken Breast

Great food and service at a reasonable price point. Really enjoyed our dinner here on Father's Day. We started out with spinach and artichoke dip which was decent but not anything special. For entrees we got the prime rib and crispy chicken breast. We both really enjoyed our entrees. The prime rib was the perfect temp and 12oz was plenty of meat. We finished with a banana split which was great. Would definitely come back here next time I'm downtown.

We had dinner at The Arrogant Butcher and overall it was a really solid experience. From the moment we sat down, the service stood out--our servers were friendly, attentive, and consistently checked in without being overbearing, which made the meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. The menu has a nice variety, and we each ended up trying something different. The sandwiches come with one side, and I decided to upgrade to the mac and cheese for an extra $3--and that was absolutely the right call. It was creamy, rich, and full of flavor--honestly the highlight of my meal. I ordered the French Dip, which had great flavor overall, though it was a bit more well-done than I personally prefer since I usually like mine closer to rare. Still, the bread was good, the au jus added nice depth, and it was an enjoyable dish. One thing that stands out for me is the salt and pepper mill on our table. I love freshly ground black pepper. My husband ordered the Kobe burger, and that was a definite win--juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. He really loved it. My daughter went with the steak, which she said was good, but it didn't quite stand out compared to some of the other dishes we tried. Overall, it was a good meal with a mix of standout items and a few that didn't quite wow us. The excellent service and comfortable atmosphere definitely added to the experience, and we'd come back again--especially knowing what to order next time

Came here for a friend's birthday. The staff was attentive and friendly, and they validated my parking (only at CityScape parking garages). Slightly dimmed lights, but a fine overall vibe, not too fancy, not too casual. We enjoyed the meatballs and crispy shrimp as appetizers. My friend did not love their filet mignon, but it was okay. The Steak Salad was a clear winner for the table. I enjoyed my Pacific Sea Bass, the flavor and cook was great, and the veggies were flavorful and tasty too.

Went to The Arrogant Butcher and overall had a really nice experience. The crispy rice tuna was honestly perfection, definitely one of the best things we ordered. The meatballs were really yummy too, but I do wish there had been a little more sauce with them. I got the steak and it was cooked to the correct temperature, but it was a bit tough and chewy, which was a little disappointing. The sea bass on the other hand was perfection and probably my favorite dish of the night. The service was amazing and the staff were always really thoughtful and attentive. The ambience was fun and felt elevated but still casual, which made it a great place to relax and enjoy dinner.

Impressed with everything. Our server Cameron was awesome, food was clutch (solid menu), great cocktails, & amazing deserts. French dip didn't disappoint-- lotta cheese (which I like) but make sure to ask light if you don't want it fully immersed in delicious cheese. Kobe burger really solid, crispy bacon & Mac & cheese side worth the upgrade. Meatballs were amazing, could eat 2 orders myself! And dessert was awesome, would go again anytime! And they gave us some nice note & champagne to celebrate our anniversary-- first class move!!

YUM! What a fun find in 113 degree weather! They had the FIFA game on. Great drinks at the bar. And yummy food! Bartender/server Zach was great. Very attentive and made sure all of our food and drinks came out correct. We will definitely being going back soon.

Seasonal Sangria & Fairway Margarita!

Went on a whim without reservations, and got to sit at the chef's counter! Our server was so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable! So was the super welcoming manager! The layout is simply gorgeous. Their seasonal sangria and fairway margarita are strong but so refreshing and easy to drink! That Crispy Chicken Breast is hands down the best chicken dish that I've ever had anywhere. In fact, I'm still dreaming about it. Can't wait to go back to try more of their menu the next time I'm town! I've heard amazing things about their happy hour! Highly recommend!

The best Mojito I've had in a long time. Not to sweet! It was absolutely perfect

We went and tried the banana split which is new on the menu!! It is outstanding!! Michael our server was also fantastic! It was 1:00 on a Friday and it wasn't busy but it wasn't slow. The temperature inside was perfect! I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you do anything go now and get the banana split.

I recently moved to Arizona and have been exploring different restaurants. Last night, I visited The Arrogant Butcher in Downtown Phoenix to celebrate a friend's birthday with another friend who was visiting from Texas. This was my first time here. First, let me say that this place is fabulous! Their menu has a lot of variety and their food does not have MSG (mono sodium glutamate), which is crucial for those highly allergic to it (one of my friends is). That said, our waitress that we had was absolutely sweet, socially engaging, and delivered exceptional service. She welcomed all of us, explained the menu, and made sure to acknowledge the little but important things during our dining. One of my friends ordered steak and asparagus = sublime. I ordered chicken egg rolls, again, a delicious appetizer, and my other friend ordered fish chips with a side. My overall dining experience was wonderful, the ambiance is great, very social and chill environment but can also be intimate. I highly recommend this restaurant. I personally will be back again. I also gave my waitress a much deserved larger tip.

A small group of us came for dinner before attending a concert at the AZ Financial Theatre. I had made a reservation several days prior and when we arrived we were immediately seated. There was a line building of patrons wanting to eat so we were glad we had the reservation. Friendly greeting upon arrival and when we were seated our server came over immediately to introduce herself and let us know she would be right back. We had time to review the drink and food menu; Jen was server and came for drink orders first. Wife ordered the Kiwi Water Margarita and I had water. Others also ordered drinks and when delivered, everyone said their drinks were perfect. Wife loved her margarita and was happy that they were able to accommodate her request for a sugar rim. Once drinks were delivered, Jen was quick to come back and take dinner orders. I ordered the fish & chips and wife ordered the crispy chicken. One of our friends ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip for the table and it came out warm and gooey. Everyone loved it!!! The fish & chips were fantastic...lightly battered rock fish which was tender and tasty. Loved the tarter sauce and actually ordered an extra one so my fries could be dipped. Came with slaw, which was creamy and savory...not sweet like sometimes it can be. I had asked for crispy fries and they delivered on that! Great dish and so happy! Wife had the crispy chicken which came with a filling of crab and green beans with a Calabrian Chile sauce which she said was tasty and not spicy at all. She loved it! The lemon caper butter was just the right touch and I would ask for some for the fish & chips as well because that combo would be so good! We ended our meal with the Old Fashion Cobbler (sorry no picture because everyone dived into it before I could photo it!)...wow that was pure pleasure! Full of spiced apples that were sliced and in a good slightly thick sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream. Great way to end the meal. Overall, it was busy...a tad loud...but Jen was great, on top of things and we would definitely come again when in downtown.

Is the fried chicken sandwich still available? I don’t see it on the menu.

I don't recall seeing it on there either! I went mlk day recently

Do you take apple pay?

Hi Yousuf A. Yes we do!

We have 4 separate reservations coming your way Sunday for early dinner as we have a concert at 7:00 at The celebrity theater. Will we be able to get our food in time to eat before the concert?

I would get in as soon as their doors open for a theatre production and let your waiter know of your plans. Also, when we went early one time for a similar theatre experience, they did not have the Prime Rib ready to serve when they opened. 🤷🏻…

What gluten free options do you have?

Thank You for asking. We have many options. If you go online, our menu does say GF next to all options that are gluten free.…

Are they allowed dogs at outside seat area?

Yes we do! We love dogs on our patio.

Are they open on Christmas Day before the Suns game? Do you need a reservation for Christmas Day?

What is the Dress code?

Casual to business casual. You'll see some people a little more dressed for dates or for going out later, but you'll also get more casual too.

Is there any private rooms available for reservations?

Yes, I believe they have several private dining options or private spaces for groups. Check their website for details.

Is the happy hour menu limited to the bar only? And is it available during Suns home games?

Yes, Happy Hour is limited to the Bar area.

Is anything on the menu made for vegans?

Absolutely!

Is there any free parking near the place on weekend? I know of the parking lot in COM, the street parking near Biosciences high school, but those are kind of far

The restaurant validates parking in the garage attached - 2 hours I believe.

But it feels like stepping into a whole new world once you enter. I think it's perfect for hanging out. Date night. Anniversary dinner. All of it. Our server was nice. Very friendly. I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly. Main level/Upstairs vibe is well-lit with a true cantina bar feel. High-top tables, seats at the bar & happy hour from 4-7 pm make it ideal for some $7 drinks!!. The collection of Tequilas is GREAT. Many of which do not contain additives. I won't lie, I thought I was a big fan until I realized I didn't recognize a lot of the tequilas they had on hand. Downstairs is a whole different vibe. Custom craft cocktails, dim lighting with artwork, and more make it feel like an upscale NYC spot in your basement. I did 2 of my favorites, Paloma De Guayaba with the custom block name etched and the Baya Nueva. While in the Cantina, I had to order my friend the Basura (trash), but that wasn't the case... then again, it is served in a plastic bag, and is definitely a throwback to my early 20's of gettin' lit!!!! It was busy, but not packed, which made the service stand out more than it should have. I had to ask for water twice, never got a refill, and overall felt largely ignored--minimal eye contact, no real warmth, just an impersonal feel that didn't match the space. It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

My party and I had a reservation on a Saturday night at 9pm (when it's 13 people, what can you do). What kind of sucked though (and mainly why I'm deducting a star) is that we did wait an additional half hour to be seated after our reservation time. Our theory is that they didn't think the entire party would actually arrive, and they were not ready to accommodate us. To be fair, the restaurant IS on the smaller side, but there was 0 communication during that half hour on what was going on... which isn't really good for us either. We got the original set, and this somewhat confused me as well. The food was really good, and was definitely a restaurant that I'd go to for the experience, but for some reason some of the meats were doubled while others weren't. The double portions were really nice since our party was so large, we needed to split the food between 4 different grills (so each table got 2 grills each, feeding 6-7 people in total or 3-4 people per grill), but then we had to share the portions where we only got one serving. It wasn't bad, but to me, didn't make sense. The food was really good though; I didn't care too much about the soup, but the green sauce was SO good. Mixing a little with the soup was incredible. I thought the beef and pork were really good. I personally left the restaurant full, but many others in my party did not. I think it's a really good amount of food for 2 people, but when you push to 3+, you probably do not want to come hungry. Also--the live music at Pemberton next door is SO LOUD, you're going to be shouting at your table the entire night when you sit outside. I think I would come back if I wanted to show this place to someone who didn't live here, but it isn't on the top of my list for when I'm trying to eat out, but I will definitely consider this for special date night occasions. It is extremely expensive for what it is though. For $70+ you risk the chance of leaving not full which SUCKS.

I called hoping to find out my server's name so I could give him the recognition he deserved. I called a couple of times, left a voicemail, and only received a text saying, "Maybe it was Ryan."
