I had a terrific experience buying a used Toyota RAV4 at Grace Auto Sales this week. When I chose the less expensive model of the two cars I was considering, Soto never tried to convince me to buy the pricier model. He agreed that the one I chose seemed to be the right fit. Soto and all of his colleagues were pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was laid back yet efficient. It's very important to me to support local businesses and a bonus when the business is family-owned. It's refreshing to be in the presence of folks who seem to enjoy their jobs and one another. I will update this review if anything goes wrong with the car. Otherwise, assume I'm a happy customer. NOTE: I suggested to the owner that he consider doing away with the scented candle that was burning in the front office. I made the point that while the candle smelled nice enough, many folks (myself included) are very sensitive to fragrances (as evidenced by the booming market of fragrance-free products). The owner received my feedback good-naturedly enough, but left the candle burning as he walked away. Meanwhile, I had to excuse myself, go out to the car and take an antihistamine, before I could return inside to complete the transaction because multiple chemical sensitivity is a real thing and those of us who have it spend extra time and money to avoid being overwhelmed by the off-gassing of scented products and services. I wonder how many folks complain about not having a scented candle burning when they shop for cars. ;-)

I called back a couple days later as this is when we noticed the oil leak because the light came on. Added oil thinking maybe it was just low couldn't drive it 10 miles with out it coming back on. Called back and they said no one would be available to look at car until the 1st of December and that we had to pay to get it towed to there shop. I didn't have the money to tow it to them and had a long standing friend that owns his own shop and is very reputable he offered to tow it to his shop for free to look at it. We decided to do so to find the head light had a broke wire and the car had an extreme oil leak from the valve over gasket and rear seal. This car had a brand new inspection so to me this seems shady. I've reached out to them and instead of agreeing to pay half like the warranty states they will even though I feel they are responsible for the entire repair being it wasn't drivable when we bought it off the lot they are only willing to give 300 towards a major repair wanting us to bring it to them on our own dime. At this point I don't trust them. This is SHADY dealership I wouldn't buy another vehicle or recommend them to anyone. It's a shame because me and my nephew were really excited while speaking to them they put on one good show upfront. And the lady that answered the phone is very rude and should find a different job. When I called to ask if management could review the security cameras, I was repeatedly told that no manager with camera access was available and that someone would call me back. I made three separate phone calls over several days and never received a callback. By the following Wednesday, I went to the dealership in person and was finally told by a manager that there are no cameras facing the front parking lot where the incident occurred. Had someone simply provided that information during my first call, it would have saved me several days of frustration and wasted time. While the sales experience was positive, the lack of communication and follow-through from management regarding this situation was disappointing. Better customer service and timely responses would have made a significant difference.
