These jerks don't care how much smoke they blow up your ass while they waste your time and money. I even asked to speak to the owner and was turned down. I'm a single mother who apparently has nothing better to do than hang out at an auto shop on the other side of town from home, oh, but they knew all of that, too. Still, I know they don't care and this review won't change anything, but maybe it'll change your decision to go to them for service. 11:00 appointment for new tires today and an oil change. Show up at 11:05 - no tires. Why? Because nobody ordered them on Friday when I was assured the tires would be there by 11:00 on Monday. 11:30 they've arranged to pick up tires from will-call and agree to start on other work immediately while I wait, so I head out to find lunch and get some work done at a nearby greasy-spoon because why? Oh, right, I don't have a car. 2:00 I come back to see they haven't even started on my car, noting I had told them I absolutely needed to leave by 4:00 and was told my car would be ready long before 4:00, but they took advantage of my ability to wait rather than prioritize my car... did I mention I had an appointment at 11:00? 3:00 I'm told my car is done but needs an oil filter. I say go ahead because I'm told it'll take 10 minutes. 4:00 no word from anyone so I ask to pay. Only then am I told they don't actually have the oil filter and were waiting for it to be delivered, but never bothered to tell me so I waited for an hour for nothing. Get home. Wheel lock is in my seat and the car tool-kit is strewn across my trunk. The valve caps to my new tires are missing. Bottom line: made an appointment for work that should have been done in an hour. Waited five. Still not done and what was done is crappy. Never.Going.Back. read more

These guys are the most honest automotive repair shop I have found in not only Colorado but Kansas as well. I have been using them for several years and I have always been a very happy customer. My most recent visit included having my tire replaced after a blow out on I-25. I was stranded and could not replace it with the spare due to some corrosion from the alloy rims, the shop owner personally came to my rescue and helped me get a spare on so that I could take it to the shop. It is nice to have that kind of care from an automotive establishment. How many "other" places would do that for you, let alone have the owner come out? I am forever indebted for their kindness and generosity. They quickly got me back on the road again which is also priceless as a mother of three I am always on the go! read more

Been coming here for years. Very reasonable and professional service. On at least 3 different occasions, I've asked if I should have something fixed, and they said "no, that's necessary - I would just be taking your money for no reason." Very honest. Once I left my car with them while I was on vacation in California. I needed new tires as well as some engine work. They went the extra mile for me (literally). They took my car to the tire shop and got new tires for me - I just called in my credit card number. Just wish they weren't so far. And I wish they offered a loaner car while mine's being repaired. read more

I took my grandson's car to Auto Station because the transmission was slipping. They did a really thorough job of identifying the problem and researching options for repair or replacement. They did not charge me for the estimate. We are still considering whether to repair this 18-year-old car. But when we need work done, I will definitely return here. 2006 CRV Went in for my 140K service but the price quoted was close to $150. Decided to get just the oil change done from mineral to synthetic. Was $30 more expensive from the other place at Parker where I normally used to go . +ves - received quick attention and a quick slot to get my vehicle in - reasonably fast response at the reception - received quotes of all the parts which needed attention in future, except one issue, the rest of the list tallied with what I already knew. -ves - Expensive for oil changes - was told to change my synthetic oil again (Valvoline) after 5k miles - the quotes for labors were on the higher side from my understanding (personal opinion) - asked repeatedly for the company name that makes the spares of the SUV but was only told that it was Honda OEM replacement parts. They seem to be doing a good job like a well oiled machine. Lots of Japanese sports cars around. Unfortunately, my experience here was satisfactory. Will I come here again? I dont know. Poor quality of work done to a 2006 Dodge Ram that this shop serviced. I purchased the truck from a nearby dealer that used this shop to replace the steering gear box and transmission pan gasket. After putting approximately 3000 miles on the truck, the steering shaft had come loose causing a clunk. After climbing under the truck I noticed many nuts were missing from the fan shroud, and a few miscellaneous nuts and bolts were missing/loose. They did reimburse a portion of the cost to have a shop inspect and properly tighten the steering shaft to the gear box. Next, I notice trans fluid coating the bottom of the pan. I have a shop inspect and repair. The previous gasket had failed in less than 8000 miles. Now I'm getting the run around to go through some automotive insurance company for reimbursement. The guys I've spoken to at the shop seem nice, but I am genuinely concerned about the quality of work that was performed on my truck. It comes as a major safety concern, And the fact they will not reimburse me for now another issue is pretty disappointing. I will update if anything is done to correct the issue. read more

Auto Station - like the title says - is an honest and fair shop. I never met the owner, but didn't need to. The front desk staff answered all my questions and kept in touch within reasonable expectation. The loaner car was always available, regardless of the evolving status of my truck repairs. The shop manager worked with me in a process of eliminating the most likely - and cheapest - possibilities for repair prior to pursuing the expensive repair. Expensive, but in my case (or rather, the case of my truck), needed. The end repairs were pricey, but no doubt necessary. Wouldn't hesitate to use this shop again. In fact, I have. I just recently purchased a battery for my other vehicle from this shop at a reasonable price that includes a good warranty. A+ read more

DON'T go here. I had my sway bar, transmission hose replaced and oil change done here. The guy at the desk used a code word to the mechanic when I declined the additional repairs and the mechanic expressed his disappointment. New owner was sitting there on the computer. After I paid and left, I felt really uncomfortable so I went to the collision shop next door for an assessment. The Japanese specialist" didnt fasten the sway bar and left it dangling!!!! They charge a fair price and give you honest advice. When there is something on your car that needs work, they tell you if it has to happen right away or can wait until your next visit. Since I'm not very car savvy nor do I have a bunch of spare money laying around, I really appreciate it when my car shop gives me honest advice and doesn't just try to get me to spend all my money by recommending unnecessary repairs. I found Japanese Specialists while browsing for a shop to take my car to. First I took my vehicle 2010 Camry to Stevenson Toyota West, they diagnosed my car with broken wheel bearing. They told me that it would cost me 940.00 to fix. I was so disappointed and I did not know where else to call. While browsing yelp, I found this place and I called that same day. I spoke with Ryan who was awesome! He told me to bring my car in and they would have it ready for me that afternoon or early the next day. The price was unbelievably cheap compared to what the dealer had quoted me. It was 600.00 cheaper at Japanese Specialists. They are so professional and courteous, they called me every step of the way and informed me what was being done to my car. Upon completion, they called me and had it ready to go. Japanese Specialists Auto Services is amazing! After terrible and dishonest service at other establishments, I brought my to them after the previous mechanics said that my car was "unfixable" and "just an old car". Not only was the brand-new front engine mount making a loud banging every time I turned the wheel, the car would always pull to the right, especially while driving on the highway, regardless of numerous alignment checks. Another local company tried to say the engine mounts needed replacing AGAIN, but Japanese Auto Services kept it overnight and completely fixed the "unfixable problem" for only $300 instead of $1000s!! They were courtesy, honest and good people! I highly recommend them! read more

I found Japanese Specialists on Yelp. I decided to call as I didn't want to take my Acura into the Acura Dealership to diagnose and fix my problem. I know they would inflate the cost and diagnosis. My car was making a Very loud rattling sound. Also my battery just died. I was worried I'd have to replace my alternator. So I called and spoke to Ryan. He was very professional when setting up the appointment. I took it in and after diagnosing it they showed me what they found 1. My water Pump needs to be replaced 2. I had the crank seal leaking and 3...they didn't know yet what was "drawing" my battery. So they took 2 days to test all wiring and lights and factored it was my Bluetooth and Garage Wiring. They could of easily been dishonest and told me to replace my alternator! They gave me a Very fair price too! $550 for all of that!! Now my car is puuuring like a cat! They have a loyal customer moving forward and I thought they deserved me taking the time to write a review. The Bonus: Ryan gave me a ride back downtown at no fee the day I dropped off the car! The BEST car repair shop around....Japanese Specialists. I was having a problem with my Tire Pressure Monitor system. I had, had a blowout on a tire several months ago, and it also ruined the wheel. Ordered a wheel and tire to match my current (from out of state) had it put on and off I would went. Several days later the TPM light would come on but the tire had the exact amount of air that it should have. I had it looked at several times, the light would be off when I would pick up the car, but several days later it would come back on. It got so I would ignore the light and of course the one time I didn't check the tires when the light was on I did have a flat tire. Decided to take my car to Japanese Specialist. They worked on my previous vehicle that had a problem that no-one could figure out and fixed it the 1st time. They took my car discovered the problem fixed it and it has now been a few weeks and NO TPM light has come on. THANK YOU, Japanese Specialists, I won't be taking my cars anywhere else now! read more

These guys are definitely specialists...maybe in being scammers; certainly not auto mechanics. I took my Honda Civic to them about a year ago to change the coolant. I also brought two coolant hoses (with proper hose clamps) for them to install for me. Keep in mind that Civics are VERY easy to work on; I simply needed someone to help me out since I was working and doing school full time. Anyways, a year later and in the dead of winter, my car started overheating on my commute to work (Lakewood to Boulder). I had to call in and took the car in to a different shop that I now do business with (Colorado Performance Specialists -- I HIGHLY recommend these guys!). Thankfully, the car was still able to drive for 20 miles before needing a break. It turns out that the hoses were NOT fully tightened the way they should have been so ALL of that fresh coolant had slowly leaked out of the reservoir over the course of a year. My mechanic also told me that they misplaced one of the clamps on the portion of the hose where there is supposed to be natural swelling with use. He told me that if this clamp were still in the same place for another year, this hose would have to be replaced. I remember confronting the mechanic at Japanese "Specialists" about this same issue, and he told me not to worry about it. This place is a joke, folks. Please, go elsewhere. They charged me around $300 for the job; my other boys charged $150 to re-do the same exact job. These guys need to go out of business ASAP before they leave someone else stranded or maybe even dead. read more
