We had OMG Hazy IPAs and a "Hunter" pizza topped with guava bbq pork, pineapple, jalapenos, & red onion. It was bomb - a perfect Hawaiian pizza. Even late-ish on a weeknight, it was packed with families and big groups, but there was no wait and our server was prompt and efficient. My only nits to pick are the hidden elevator (we didn't notice they had one till after we walked up like 50 flights of stairs) and the metal chairs are soooo loud on the concrete floor. Every 10 seconds, someone's scraping chair legs. So, search for the elevator when you arrive, and be prepared to tune out a metallic racket whilst you drink and dine.

Getting upstairs to the patio was quite the challenge (long flight of stairs). They definitely make you work up an appetite for sure, lol. The wings and black truffle fries were absolutely fire!!! The homemade ranch was amazing! And the truffle dipping sauce was the best I've had yet 10/10! I ordered the P.O.G IPA 6.8% (pineapple, orange, guava). Absolutely refreshing! My wife on the other hand ordered a piña colada and wasn't impressed at all. Expected it to be creamy, but tasted more like pineapple juice with coconut liqueur. As for our main entrees, the guava bbq pork sando was out of bounds 10/10! The pork was slow cooked to perfection and the guava bbq was a great accent to the sandwich. My girls ordered poke and were not impressed either (I agree to disagree). I thought it was fresh and delicious, loved that they incorporated avocado and cherry tomatoes into the dish. And lastly, the fish and chips were meaty and lightly battered (just the way my wife likes it), and the tartar sauce was delicious as well. My son ordered the pepperoni pizza and was equally satisfied!

I stopped by Waikiki Brewing Company and had a great experience. I grabbed a Loco Moco and an IPA, and both hit the spot. I sat at the bar and received great service, which made the whole lunch even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it was a great place to take a break and enjoy a beer and a meal. I saw they offered brunch and had some non-beer drinks, which also sounded good. Definitely would recommend Waikiki Brewing Company if you're visiting the area!

Everyone was very nice there and the space was a good sports bar to watch the World Cup at. We sat at the bar so we could see the TVs, but there were plenty around the restaurant. The food was mixed reviews. The shrimp fried rice was really good, a bit on the oily side (personally don't mind that) and lacked salt, but that was an easy fix. The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good. The slaw, to me, was too crunchy and could have marinated longer to soften up. Again, this dish lacked salt. The Pina Coladas, were very tasty and refreshing, but were too sweet so it was hard to get a second one and come close to finishing. I had my partner help me drink it because it was too much. I'd still go again and try other things on the menu and maybe ask for the colada to not be too sweet

The happy hour food menu has a nice selection, it's about $3 off the main menu pricing. The tots were $17 off the happy hour menu and a large order, definitely for sharing. The pork on it was a little dry but the corn, beans pico and sour cream made up for this, tots were fluffy and crispy. We liked this one overall. The ceviche was $26 (not on the happy hour menu), it was a portion for 1-2 people, the fish itself tasted fresh but I wasnt a huge fan of the ceviche flavor, I wish it was more lime/acid forward and would have liked an herbal element like cilantro to spice it up. The wonton chips were not great, they weren't crispy and tasted almost mealy, they also lacked salt, I imagine if they were freshly fried it would have been tastier. Service was very fast and polite. The vibes and seating options were great too. Would return, the empanadas looked tasty.

The space has a more upscale feel, with a really nice vibe inside and plenty of tables. They have a great selection beyond their own beer, including cocktails, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and guest taps. I especially loved that they offered smaller beer pours, which let me try several different beers without committing to a full pour of each. I was there for the beer, and I definitely wasn't disappointed! I was also really impressed by the food menu. They had lunch specials that sounded fantastic, and they even offer a brunch menu with special brunch cocktails. I wasn't hungry enough to try the food this time, but it definitely gives me a reason to come back. Great beer, a beautiful space, and lots of options for everyone. Definitely recommend adding Hana Koa to your Oahu brewery list!

Unfortunately, something has changed recently and you can see it throughout recent reviews here, which tells me this is a taught practice by management and not just one shady server. Mainly, being up charged or sold "extras" without disclosing they're actually add ons. Our table of 4 had 3 different sandwiches, 2 burgers and a chicken sandwich. While ordering the server offered each of us, "would you like fries, onion rings, or salad with that?" There was no disclosure of it being additional, and she never used the words add ons or extras. When the bill was received, all 3 that received the sandwiches and "sides" were shocked to see upcharges (example $5.00 extra for 1/4 cup of greens and 2 slices of cucumber) when we were being offered these with our orders. When I asked the server about the charge, I asked why it wasn't disclosed it was extra, and that we only answered her question of which side we wanted because she offered as if it was included, her responses were baffling. The first was "There's nowhere on island that serves fries with a sandwich", to which I said, "but you didn't say it was extra, you offered them as if they were included", she said "it's written on the menu". To note: fries, onion rings, and side salads are listed on the menu, in their own section, separate from the sandwich sections. So while it is written, they know exactly what they're doing when they offer you sides or sauces, and you can see other recent reviews here making the same complaint. This left an extra bad taste for our table as we had come in to help support them after the recent tropical storm left them without power. We were excited to participate in a local event they were hosting and help support them after losing stock and days being closed from the storm, just to have this shady process of being upsold things we didn't order (on a $350+ bill that also included shirts from their merch store). Scuzzy way of thanking your community for coming in and patronizing your restaurant. Really disappointed after years of Hana Koa being my favorite place.

We were towards the front of the line, we waited in line for over an hour, paid a cover charge, and then weren't even allowed inside until about 10 minutes before kickoff. After finally getting seated, we couldn't even order food for another hour. The biggest offense? The sound. It was essentially nonexistent... maybe a 1/10. We literally paid a cover charge to watch the biggest sporting event in the world in near silence. We couldn't hear the match, the commentary, the crowd, or even Shakira's halftime performance. You could hear a pin drop. There was no energy, no atmosphere, no excitement. For a World Cup Final, that's completely inexcusable. When multiple people voiced concerns, the manager couldn't have seemed less interested. The vibe in the room was painfully flat, and management appeared completely indifferent. We were told the owners didn't want to turn the volume up because a speaker had blown the previous week. If that's true, then don't charge people a cover for a premium viewing experience you can't deliver. That's on ownership, not the customers. The only reason this review isn't one star is because of the staff who were actually trying. Riley, the hostess, was absolutely wonderful: friendly, organized, and professional despite the chaos. Adam (the bartender with the cherry tattoos) was also incredibly kind and made the experience far better than management deserved. The front-line staff deserve praise. The manager and owners deserve to take a hard look at what they're offering. Charging people a cover to watch the World Cup Final while making them wait over an hour to get in, delaying food service for another hour, and then failing to provide even a basic viewing experience is simply unacceptable. We left feeling like management cared more about collecting cover charges than delivering the experience people paid for.
