Cool concept, didn't feel worth the price. Ice cream was alright, brownie was alright, service was rushed (we were kind of late more toward closing so that's fair) finding this location was a little hard as we're not from here but overall fun place and definitely fixed my sweets craving. Location is in the middle courtyard you can access by the garage or through the underground garage via elevator.

The Baked Bear is such a fun spot for an ice cream sandwich. They have tons of flavors and the cookies are homemade, soft, and literally melt in your mouth. You can pick cookies or brownies for your sandwich, and the combinations are endless. The service is great and everything feels fresh and thoughtfully made. The inside is a bit small, but this location has a really nice lawn and patio area where you can sit and enjoy your treat. It's the perfect place to hang out, especially on a warm day. Pro tip: choose two different cookies so you can try more than one flavor, and always get your sandwich warmed up. It takes it to a whole new level. Such a unique and delicious stop in Austin.

Love this place for my late night sweet treat fix! I've been here quite a few times and always bring my friends since it was so close to my old apartment. It's the perfect amount of warm and gooey from the cookies and refreshing cool sweetness from the icecream. I always get the Nutella cookies with the Oreos mixed into my ice cream. Elite combo. Also it's nice sitting on the lawn with friends in the outdoor area to eat your cookies too, inside is a bit too small/cramped to enjoy eating and chatting.

I was really excited to try The Baked Bear, my brother had mentioned the SF location is something he'd been wanting to try for a long time. So naturally when we were in Austin. We excitedly went to check out The Baked Bear. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The cookies were pretty good, but not amazing or anything. The brownie was dry, but luckily not too brittle, and the ice cream wasn't all that amazing either. The service was fast and friendly, although the heating up option still left the cookie and brownie pretty cold, so I don't think it really made a difference. The ambiance is simple, there's only a few seats to sit and enjoy the food inside, it seems like most people were taking it to go. Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value: 2.5/5 Overall: 3/5

Must try dessert it was delicious with custom cookie sandwiches. You can create a sandwich with two different cookies or one cookie and make it a bowl. It won't get messy as they give a proper plate for it all. All cookies are so soft was it makes it great and ice creams are not all basic either. Great spot to eat after too outside as it's in a small park.

I have a sweet tooth and this place did not disappoint. I love how you can make your own custom ice cream sandwiches with house made cookies or brownies. The options are endless. The outdoor space is great as well. There's plenty of seats and you can play with your pet or children outside. Such a relaxing way to spend a nice day!

We tried the cookies and cream cookie sandwich with s'mores ice cream!! It was so good - we loved it! They also do waffle cones / ice cream cups / just cookies/brownies too! Service is quick and they have some seating for maybe 5 people or so and a restroom indoors. It's kind of behind the Trader Joe's!

I've never had a mud pie ice cream until going to Baked bear! You can select your own cookie and customize your ice cream sandwich the way you want it. 2 different cookies and 2 different ice creams... in one ice cream sandwich...no problem! It all cost the same. You can choose to warm up the cookies and it will not melt the ice cream. 1 sandwich is totally shareable! There's several cookie options to pick from and they have cookie of the month which are limited edition only. Service was great and you can sample the ice creams so you can choose which ones you like the best. $9.50 for a humongous monster ice cream sandwich. Shareable for two in my opinion! I love visiting The Baked Bear for amazing mix and match of delectable desserts. I love that I can build my own ice cream cookie sandwich and customize the type of cookie and ice cream flavors and add toppings. I had the chocolate chip top cookie and cookies and cream bottom cookie. I added 2 different flavors of ice cream; blackberry crumble and butter brittle cake (it was an up charge of .50 cents for the extra flavor). My all time favorite cookie flavor is ube but that is seasonal. They offer a variety of toppings as well. Better eat that ice cream cookie sandwich fast in the Texas heat!

If you like hard ice cream this place is your heaven. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and they specialize in ice cream sandwiches. I opted for just a cup of the cookie dough, and it did not disappoint! Service was friendly, too!

This place is so delicious!!! The desserts taste very fresh and the prices are very reasonable. They also have great customer service, once the employee found out it was my birthday I got a free cookie which was very sweet of him. Also, the brownie bowl was a hit! So good it's moist and chocolatey 10/10. The gooey butter cake was my favorite cookie, super gooey.

Wow!!! Super delicious, better than tiffs treats and the similar brands in my opinion. It's a bit pricey like all the rest but the $10.50 dozen was a great deal on DoorDash and I'd 100% order again. The blueberry crumble ice cream was also out of this world. Hit this place up, it's probably even better in person.

Love this place, so sad that the one in San Antonio closed abruptly. Found one in town, excited to have it again. Cookies n cream is the best! Didn't get any cookies, but still looks delicious. The ice cream and cookies were good, but together they got rock hard and it was very hard to eat. I got my cookies warmed up, but still couldn't actually take a bite of the "sandwich." Maybe if it had been flattened out and the cookies had stayed warmer it could have been better, but really it was hard to eat - rock hard. I say buy some Blue Bell, put a scoop in a bowl, and make some cookies on your own - way easier to eat and the cookies stay hot. read more

Wow. Just happened upon this shop while walking the river... My dreams have come true. You can design your own cookie ice cream sandwich!! They can warm the cookies up for you if you want and add "toppings" to the sides. I'm still smiling from it and it's been 3 hours. Every city needs a naked bear in it. read more

One of the few Instagram worthy desserts that actually lived up to the hype. A very fair price point for a high quality treat. The team worked fast to get everyone in line served as fast as they could and still produced the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had. Definitely large enough to split. read more

Loved this place! The best part was the way they easily accommodated my daughter's peanut allergy. The gentleman working was so kind and thorough. He showed me ingredients lists and happily scooped my daughter's ice cream from a fresh barrel using a clean scooper. The cookies and cream ice cream was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie soft and combined with the ice cream well. My son had the birthday cake ice cream wasn't too sweet like some are. He combined it with an M&M cookie and it was tasty. Cookie expert here. The staff is A+++ and really phenomenal. That said, the cookies are mediocre. The chocolate chip to dough/sugar ratio is low. The cookie itself is lacking in flavor and only tastes like dough...they need some help with their recipes. Otherwise, the ice creams are great. Once they master the cookies, I would give them their 5 stars but given the fierce cookie competition in the area, it's a miss. read more

The baked cookies were bland and the ice cream was super sweet- maybe that why? My sister had the cookies and cream ice cream and she ended up liking the vegan ice cream better. Staff is nice and place is clean. I'm glad they have a vegan option but it's only one ice cream choice. read more

I had a cookie sandwich with ice cream, very decadent. If you are small and need just a little food only get the ice cream, I couldn't finish it. Very expensive for what it is though. Very clean and a nice place to be. I suppose if you split it with someone it could be more attractive pricing but for me it was not effective. read more

Eh. After reading all the reviews, I was SO excited to come here, and dragged my group here after a delicious dinner at a nearby restaurant. We all tried different things. The ice cream: meh. I did like the taste of their signature blue bear ice cream, but the other ice creams I tasted were just okay. The cookies were mediocre. I tried: the red velvet, the cookies n' cream, and both were just OK. The only thing going for this place is its location right smack in the middle of Seaholm. I wouldn't return. read more

Eh. My friends really liked this place... but I wasn't very impressed. They have freshly baked goods, homemade ice cream and they make a cookie sandwich with whatever toppings you choose. Maybe I was not in the mood for it but I like the idea, I just can't put my finger on what was wrong about it. I got a red velvet cookie and coffee flavored ice cream with heath bars crumbled on it. I ordered ice cream sandwiches through Favor because I had surgery and was unable to walk/drive. I'm staying 5 minutes away from the store. I get a call from my favor driver saying the staff won't make my order, the rationale being it will be melted by the time it gets to me and they're worried about getting a bad review. The driver explained that I'm very close but they still wouldn't make my order. Frankly, even if the desserts weren't very good I wouldn't have written a bad review, but the fact that they refused to make my order speaks to terrible customer service, and that absolutely warrants a bad review. read more

I gave them another shot tonight. This time I ordered the old fashion vanilla on chocolate chip. It was very good. I also got a confetti cookie, very good and chewy. The ice cream the first time I went must have been freezer burned because it was much better this time and I doubt the recipe changed in a week. As always, great staff. read more

pretty cute little ice cream shop in a nice shopping center. i love the aesthetic of this place. the ice cream selection is good--quite a variety--even a vegan option. the cookies were soft and the ice cream was fresh; however, not something that i would normally go out of my way to get. i wasn't blown out of the water with the taste of the deserts as i felt like i could have purchased this store bought, but the customer service and atmosphere of the baked bear was excellent. read more

A group of us got in line at 10:35. The line wasn't too long but at 11, the guy working kicked everyone in line out. We were already in the establishment. He was very rude and there were plenty of people in front and behind us. The Business lost out major tonight. They didn't notify us of a last call etc. or that they won't be able to serve everyone. Very good ice cream sandwiches however HORRIBLE customer service. I asked for the vegan ice cream sandwich and was told the vegan ice cream was "too cold" and there were no other options. I was disappointed, but understood if that was the case. I waited outside for my boyfriend to order and he said she was scooping the vegan ice cream for another customer... which confused me. So I went back in and the lady working seemed very disgruntled that she had to scoop the vegan ice cream again. They were very short with me and extremely dismissive. I asked the cookies to be warmed up (a normal request offered on the menu) and they gave me the sandwich without them warm. I asked again and the lady working rolled her eyes at me and at that point I just left the shop... Would give the ice cream sandwich a 4/5 but with this customer service I do not plan on coming back. Extremely LAZY employees who fail to meet basic customer service standards. read more

Great ice cream sandwiches. But the service is slow. We stood in line for 40 minutes. We started on the steps outside. Thought it would move faster but it didn't. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint. I wasn't the only person with a messed up orde, i overheard three people complaining about the same thing as they left the shop.
