We parked in a parking garage that leads into Trader Joe's. If you validate your parking at the kiosk just inside TJs double doors of the garage, you can validate for two hours... your welcome. Once you go through TJs, you appear outside in the middle of a plaza slash doggy play area and to your right is Baked Bear. Tiny little place with only a decal on the door. Once you go inside it smells divine. In my opinion, the best part is asking them to heat up your cookies. They are so soft and creamy we asked it be put into a cup instead of the normal paper boat because we wanted to eat it with a spoon because it was a hot day but in order to save the plastic, the normal paper container is how they usually serve it so you can pick it up and eat it like a sandwich. I know our sandwich was super basic but I assure you the options for cookies and ice cream are anything but! r-BGH-free ice cream, some gluten free but no vegan, sorry. Same with cookies, there are some vegan but no gluten free. Ice cream flavors like butter brittle cake, blackberry crumble, dark chocolate and toasted s'mores. A few doors down from Trader Joes, The Baked Bear is in a cute and upcoming area in the Seaholm District. I wish the inside was bigger to hold more seating, as they only have about 8 low seats facing the wall. You can also sit outside if you can find a small table or spot in the grassy area. They do have a water cooler, which is always needed at an ice cream place, but the cups are triangular cones so you can't set it down anywhere :/ I loved the variety of options here. Everything was presented beautifully and demanded a picture. You can choose 2 different cookies (or a brownie!) to make an ice cream sandwich, or you can choose a cookie or brownie-bottomed bowl to put ice cream on top of. The line moved pretty fast, and they have a few warming presses to warm up your sandwich if you'd like. They have a good selection of tasty ice creams, I chose a smores flavor. I'm glad they put the ice cream sammies in a little tray, because I definitely did not attempt to bite into that huge thing. Maybe next time I'll split it with somebody :) read more

The staff here are always so nice especially when it takes me eons to make a decision about what I want to get. I usually end up getting an ice cream sandwich. I have tried a lot of the flavors but some of the ones I keep coming back to are the espresso bean and blackberry crumble ice cream. As for the cookies, I think they're all great and you can't really go wrong with any of them. My favorite part about this ice cream shop is how big their scoops are. Loved the flavor of the ice cream- vanilla bean ice cream base with butter brittle, vanilla cake, almonds, and salted caramel ripple. So rich and tasty! The cookies were good too, you can tell how buttery soft they are just from the picture. Came here on customer appreciation day (February 29th!) when they were giving away a free scoop to everyone. The place seemed popular as the line was almost out the door, but it didn't take too long to get up to the front. I've been to an ice cream shop with a similar concept and I absolutely loved it. You can choose to have your ice cream scoop by itself or make it a sandwich by choosing cookies/brownies. I opted for the ice cream sandwich and picked out chocolate chip and M&M cookies. They let you try the ice cream flavors and I was immediately drawn to the toasted s'mores one. I absolutely loved my sandwich.
