a burger and fries on a plate

Great place to grab a early bite or evening one. It has outdoor seating on the sidewalk in Milford slightly off of the main drag of downtown. Service was responsive and nice. Food was very good, drinks were a little watered down, both my pop and wife's Bloody Mary which was the only not positive part of the trip. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid meal. The homemade fries were excellent as well!!!!

Delicious breakfast! First time and we'd definitely go back; great service, fun atmosphere; appreciated that the manager came by multiple times and asked how everything was going. My husband had the Baja burrito, I had the Country burrito and we both loved our choices and each other's! The Country burrito is stuffed with fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, mushrooms, onions, roasted red peppers, and the whole burrito is covered in a cheese sauce. The Baja burrito was fluffy scrambled eggs, chorizo, pico de gallo, and the whole thing covered with cheese sauce and sour cream. Both burritos were nestled on a bed of house potatoes which were perfectly cooked! My mouth is literally watering while I think of breakfast!

Our breakfast was fabulous! Love the warm, bar atmosphere. It was busy, but our server was attentive and polite. I absolutely recommend getting the potatoes - they are my favorite hash brown potatoes ever. They are cut to a perfect size and perfectly crisp. The English muffin is also a must have. It's sour dough and chewy - perfectly toasted and lightly buttered. I absolutely recommend brunch here and if the weather cooperates, there are a handful of tables outside too.

This place already has the best breakfast around and now The Bar has the most flavorful, juicy n tender Porkchop I've ever had. The Brussel sprouts are perfectly paired. Service here is always excellent.

Perch dinner from The Bar in downtown Milford.

Just finished having lunch at The Bar in Milford. I had the perch dinner and it was delicious. The perch was perfectly cooked as were the bar frites. It also came with coleslaw that was very tasty as well. I highly recommend the perch dinner and look forward to trying everything on their new and improved menu.

Yummy Brunch Spot! Super impressed with their brunch here, I will definitely be returning. I ordered a Mexican Omelette, and it came out just PERFECT. I was incredibly happy and so was my friend with her dish. We also had Mimosas, and they were great! Our waiter was quick, and attentive with us. I really recommend this place if you're in the area!

She was so on top of everything, it made the trip more than worth it! Even our previous server (who was working the bar last night) made it a point to say hi to us, and thanked us for coming in as we were heading out! Food was excellent, their homemade mashed potatoes are the bomb, and their chicken and build a burger was excellent! This is another rare place that can get meat temperatures right. They had a big group that was occupying the staff, but all of them were collectively working together to see that everybody was properly being handled. We haven't seen attentiveness or attention to detail like this since leaving Las Vegas. You can tell the management has put a lot of hands on time and effort in to their staff as well as their food. The feel of this location is great and it has outdoor seating available. Definitely stop in here you can't go wrong!

Decided to give this place a try on Memorial Day weekend and went specifically for happy hour deals…read moreand also decided to eat dinner. Happy hour: well drinks $4 (great deal), wine and margarita good deals too. Note that craft beer was not on happy hour (disappointing). Appeared only bottled beers were on happy hour; wish that beer on tap was at least some discount like $1 off would be a nice perk. Craft beer tall was $8.50. Ouch. (Even the local river edge's brewery doesn't charge that much.) Select appetizers were $7. Pretzels were okay. Not very good flavoring and a little tough chewy for our liking. The mustard was more honey mustard texture instead of stone mustard that I prefer with pretzels. The beet cheese was good. They do give a generous amount of beer cheese. Main course/meals: husband got the Alabama smash burger which he said was good and flavorful. Fries were good with a nice coating. I had the steak tacos. I do want to note I have a tomato allergy so needed to make some modifications and also don't like grilled onions. However I was very disappointed with the steak tacos. They were very small size (like appetizer to me) and all it had was the steak and melted cheese. Lettuce and avocado would have gave these some flavor. I asked for a side of beer cheese with the tortilla chips since I could have salsa. I was upcharged $3. Very confusing because bill said it was taken off then it was added back on at the bottom of the bill?! They have a bar area that is separate from the rest of the restaurant. They have a lot of seating with a mix of tables and booths. Bill was $70 for 2 tall beers, 1 well drink, 1 appetizer, burger and tacos. Plus tip was almost $90. Disappointing and not worth the money. Many other places locally that you get more food and drinks for the money.

Smoke Street is an overall solid BBQ establishment…read more We started off with the nachos with pulled pork. These nachos were top notch. My fiancé got the basic cluck fried chicken sandwich. It was pretty bland, but I guess that was predictable based on its name. I got the boss hog combo, which includes pulled pork, brisket, sausage, corn bread, and two sides. I chose sweet potato mash and killer mac n' cheese as my sides. The meats on the platter were delicious. My go-to BBQ meat is brisket, but the pulled pork here was my favorite. As for the sides, I definitely preferred the mac over the sweet potato mash. Out of the 10+ BBQ establishments I've been to in Michigan, Smoke Street would rank somewhere in the 6-8 range.

We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly and attentive, which made for a great start. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended. For the price, the food just did not deliver. Everything felt average at best, but the biggest letdown was the brisket. It was tough, chewy, and almost rubbery, which is not what you expect from a BBQ place. We ordered three different dishes including the brisket tacos, half slab of ribs, and the Boss Hog, and none of them stood out in a good way. Overall, it felt overpriced for the quality and we left pretty disappointed.

The atmosphere is like going to Grandma's house--except Grandma forgot how to cook and decided to decorate with politics instead of personality. The menu feels dated, the decor feels dated, and the food has absolutely no flair. Everything we tried was bland and unappetizing. The tacos were honestly less enjoyable than Taco Bell, and the pierogies were a complete disappointment. A Polish-Mexican concept could be creative and exciting, but this felt like neither cuisine was done particularly well. It's unfortunate that such a great Milford location is occupied by a restaurant that seems so badly in need of a full refresh--from the food and menu to the decor and overall atmosphere.
