Stopped by the barn for drinks and appetizers. It's an interesting looking place with a nice casual vibe. I got a beer and my friend got wine. We split two appetizers, friend pickles and Philly cheesesteak rolls. The fried pickles were a little batter heavy but I enjoyed the sauce they came with. The Philly cheesesteak rolls were on the specials and they were crispy and came with a nice chipotle dipping sauce. I was a little bit between a 3 and a 4 but just felt it was average with average service. I would come back to try burgers or something they are more known for.

This is a great neighborhood find! It was an old barn, that has been a restaurant for quite some time. It is nothing fancy, very casual but they do have valet parking. It is like eating inside a barn. Everything is wood inside. I don't believe they take reservations. The two of us arrived on a Friday night right before 5:30 and we were seated right away. However, by the time we left at 6:45 the entire bar and every table in the place was full and there was a line out the door. We came to try the ribs and we thought they were really good. However, my husband's was cooked perfectly and mine was a little bit burnt, but I still really enjoyed them. The sangria was excellent and I'm not a huge fan of sangria. We can't wait to go back and try other items on their menu. Everything that each table was getting around us looked delicious. The staff was friendly and checked on us after we received our food. I can't believe we waited so long to try this place.

Go here for a drink, the ribs or to get the loaded potato skins, and I keep coming back to the filet tips over mashed. Kids liked the mac and cheese. Maybe the steak could use more salt to be raised a star in my honest opinion...the crave ability factor that I seek in food is missing. The bar is always on point. The owner is always there which I think is the secret to success. I'd also love to see a special that becomes my new go to but I feel like this is a a great place for you burger lovers that want to be taken back to another time. In terms of opportunities, I get annoyed bc I'm forced to valet my new car and tip the workers. Id also like to see some more tasty progressive new vegetarian options on the menu!

We ask if they have outdoor seating and they tell us they do, then they proceed to seat us in an area with windows and ceiling! And right next to a large and very loud Bridal shower (that would have been nice to know, we would have asked to be seated as far away as humanly possible.) Then we sit for 30 solid minutes without a peep from ANYONE. Then suddenly a confused looking young lady steps up and informs us "no one told her we were here." Guess that's OUR problem? Placed a drink order and another 20 minutes passes when I am informed it is no longer on tap. Drinks finally arrive, the "Craftsman IPA" is flat and "off" tasting. White wine was warm as if it was sitting in the sun. Food was not much better sadly. The Calamari was flavorless and tough - apparently someone forgot the Asian drizzle that was supposed to go on it. It was also that "fake" calamari where every piece is exactly the same size and shape. The "stuffed" meatballs were stuffed - with air! Literally nothing but a hole in the middle. The artichoke and crab dip had a strong fishy taste, it was so bad I feared it was tainted. To their credit they took it off the bill, eventually. And from the moment our drinks arrived earlier,, our server never once checked back on us for another drink, do we need anything, how is everything etc. Hey Craftsman - do better! Maybe some training in the kitchen and out on the floor is in order.

We asked for ranch, but what came out looked and tasted like a cheesy dip (as pictured- you can literally see chunks of cheese in it). We even compared it side by side with their Caesar dressing which was same texture, just a different color. Isn't ranch supposed to be creamy? The French dip sandwich was another letdown. The roast beef was super dry, barely any pink, and the au jus sauce looked like the last bit scraped from the bottom of the pot. Very light in color when it should be a rich dark brown. One look and I knew it wouldn't taste right. Then came the burger, which was so undercooked that the blood soaked through the bottom bun (as pictured). The waitress never even asked how we wanted it cooked. Overall, I'd come back here for a drink but I'd skip the food next time.

He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock
