Yes, it's on-campus. But...I've never had a bad meal here? The first time I ate here was actually about a week or so after I started working at UCR. A colleague brought me to lunch. I had a fried chicken sandwich, no fries, and...that sandwich was enough food for me. The two pictures included are the brisket sandwich and the western cheeseburger (that may not be exactly what it's called) and I have no complaints. Pretty darn good for campus food.

I'm so glad that they allow students to use their meal swipes. The only complaint that I have is the extremely loud music that plays outside through the speakers that are right above peoples' heads. I would enjoy the music at a lower volume when they don't have live music. Food: * I LOVE the spicy ketchup!! *I'm happy about the fact that they serve Starbucks coffee *The fries are really good. I'm glad that they don't serve dried up shoe string fries

I had an awesome experience here. It's my last year at UCR and I somehow never tried this spot; I will definitely be coming back. The cashier recommended me the western chicken sandwich and it was a 10/10. The fries are also so bomb. For what it is, it is very much reasonably priced. Not sure why people complain about the music, it wasn't loud at all when I went. I felt comfortable. Give it a try next time you're hungry on campus!

If you want to be happy, don't come to the barn. Food is overpriced and the chicken tenders taste like rubber. I don't usually write bad reviews unless I am genuinely dissatisfied with the food or experience but the barn is terrible!!! GETAWAY WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER

Delicious vegan burger and fried pickles. Be sure to try the lunch hours, when it's quieter and convenient!

Damn, those are nice beers and good burgers! Their steak fries are thick, soft, and very well seasoned. Their onion rings were too bready for me. But the beer options were definitely impressive and their options were enough to suit our party of four. The burgers though, let's talk about the food. We all got burgers but they have so many options and quite a few people working to crank it out! Their staff members are kind and very honest with their preferences, which reassures me that they've eaten the food. My 2 vegetarian friends got the veggie and LOVED the flavor so much I wish I'd gotten it. My beef hating friend felt the chicken strips were very compact, dense, and very filling. As for me, I got the classic and it was juicy, tasty, and very well put together. The bread was more than we thought it would be but it tasted great altogether! I liked the generous amount of lettuce but I wish more was in my burger or it came with a fork so I could eat it, too! Can't wait to come back and try some more!

The sandwich was cold same with all the frozen vegetables and not properly cooked the only thing that was pretty good were its fries and onion rings.

We decided to check this place out because the construction had just been finished. The restaurant is located in the middle of UC Riverside campus, so parking is a little annoying. The restaurant itself has an outdoor bar for alcohol and drinks. You purchase food from the inside and they have salads, burgers, sandwiches and more. Due to Covid only outdoor seating is available. I ordered their smoked turkey sandwich and it was ok. Good size but the bread combo is just very dry, average sandwich at best. The atmosphere is nice and if you are on campus, go and take a look!

The budget strain can definitely be tasted, but the food served at The Barn still beats dorm food and cafeteria food. I had the Rustica Mac & Cheese and it was delicious, though a bit oily. I'll have to try to replicate it at home! Plus there's happy hour and other events that go on, so it's a fun place to just hang out with friends.

Great food, beer, and staff. But parking is pricier than downtown and it's enforced 24/7!

The Barn, with Happy Hour every day from 4 to 7 PM.... which makes it the cheapest hot food you'll get on campus. I'm a fan.

Can't get a order right to save their life. When the food comes it tastes great, but rarely comes on time. Customer service is dead.

Hey Brian, I wanted…read moreto reach out about something that happened tonight that I feel you should know about. I also want to be clear that all of this transpired after you had already left for the evening. For context, I'm a regular at the bar and have been coming in for quite a while. I've never had a major issue with Brent or Steven, even though they both have personalities that can come across as sarcastic or abrasive. I've generally let it go because my reason for coming to the bar is simple: I come in to have a few beers, relax, and enjoy myself. Tonight, while I was still drinking one of my beers and had some left in the glass, Brent came by and took it away as if I was finished. I jokingly said something along the lines of, "I guess you're not going to let me finish the last bit." I wasn't upset and wasn't trying to start an argument. It was an obvious mistake that could have been solved with a simple apology. Instead, he responded with a snarky comment rather than acknowledging the mistake. Later, he brought another beer to my table. I made eye contact with him and before I could even say anything, he asked, "Do you want to say something to me?" I replied, "No, I just wanted to say thank you." His response was, "Your eyes are telling me differently." Again, I found that unnecessarily confrontational and disrespectful. At that point, I decided to leave a $0 tip. I normally tip very well, often around 30% or more, and this was the first time I've intentionally left no tip because I wanted to send a message that I was unhappy with the way I was being treated. After that, Steven came over and confronted me about leaving no tip. He asked if I was really zeroing it out and questioned me about whether something had happened between me and Brent. I told him that whatever issue I had was not his concern, and he responded, "Fair enough." I assumed that would be the end of it. Instead, Brent came outside and confronted me. He told me Steven had said I had a problem with him. I explained that I didn't have a personal problem with him; my issue was his attitude and the way he was treating me as a customer. Rather than listening, he became increasingly hostile. I reminded him that I'm a customer and that I'm only there to buy beer from the business. I'm not there to deal with sarcasm, attitude, or an employee's emotions. As a paying customer, the minimum I expect is basic respect. I shouldn't have to walk on eggshells or accept being spoken to disrespectfully while simply trying to enjoy a beer. That confrontation ended poorly and he went back inside. A short time later, he came back out and confronted me again, this time in front of other customers. The situation became even more uncomfortable because it was happening publicly. During that exchange, he ultimately told me that I was not welcome back. Again, I reminded him that I am a paying customer whose only purpose in being there is to support the business and enjoy a beer. I should not be getting into arguments with employees, being confronted in front of other patrons, or being told I'm not welcome because I expressed concerns about how I was being treated. The bigger issue is that, in my opinion, this isn't just about tonight. This has been months in the making. I've noticed a pattern with both Brent and Steven where they seem to have become comfortable treating customers with attitude and sarcasm in ways that shouldn't be acceptable in a customer-facing role. I've overlooked it many times because I enjoy the bar and didn't think it was worth making an issue out of. On the other hand, employees like Kim, Josh, and David have always treated me and other customers with professionalism and respect. They know how to joke around while still making customers feel welcome. I've never had an issue with them. From my perspective, the problem is specifically Brent and, to a lesser extent, Steven. Brent especially has developed a demeanor that I find unwelcoming, confrontational, and disrespectful toward customers. I don't think I'm the only person who feels this way. Tonight was simply the point where it crossed a line. I'm not sending this because I want anyone fired or punished. I simply think you should know what happened, especially since it all occurred after you had left. I've spent a lot of time and money at your establishment over the years, and I would hope that customers--especially regulars--can expect basic courtesy and respect from the people serving them. I wanted to give you my side of the story directly. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The folks/beertenders were very friendly and you can tell they're enthusiastic about craft beer and the craft beer community. I've only visited once, but I've been told that they regularly rotate out their taps and have cans of local and not so local breweries for sale out of the fridge. At the time of my visit, I noticed some cans from some of my favorite breweries in the LA and SD area. The place feels like a craft beer oasis in that it's a bit of a destination and I'm not sure what else is around. Although, to be fair, I don't live in the immediate area and don't really know the area that well in terms of craft beer offerings. Definitely a spot I would like to frequent. There seemed to be plenty parking when I went. Not sure if it get's really crowded when some more of the surrounding businesses are open, but I had plenty of spaces to chose from.

Riverside needs to step up and support this wonderful collection of unique businesses!!…read more We've came here to see a specific band on purpose, and it was wonderful! We've came here just to introduce friends to the area and then got to listen to bands that we enjoyed, and had some beers on a nice summer night with a cool breeze. Honestly, this is one of the coolest places that Riverside has ever had. They have their own parking lot and so far we've been lucky enough to find a spot, although it can get busy They schedule lots of little swap meet things They play the Dodgers games here They have Karaoke here We got to see a band called the dickies!! If you've never been, you have to come check it out In the very least, get yourself some gelato Or a hamburger, or one of the amazing pizzas There's a Photo booth There's an interesting vending machine with foreign snacks There's a Plant shop There's a record store Please people let's keep this place in business! Farm House Collective has been open for a little over a year now and I finally made my first visit…read more I wasn't very interested in coming here before because it's in a pretty sketchy area. However, I had friends visiting and met them up here. Surprisingly, it was decent once I pulled into the parking lot - completely different from the sketchy vibes on University. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was how clean it was here. The people that go around cleaning FHC really do a good job. Even the restrooms looked pristine. I do appreciate the dual faucet and dryer at the sink. Farm House Collective offers a handful of counter-style restaurants, similar to what you'd find in an indoor food hall. Places I tried during this visit were: The Taco Stand, Sarap Social, and Benedetto Gelato. They also had a stage with a large screen that showed music videos. I'm assuming they have live bands that play here on certain days. The music video that was played was techno, which probably didn't match the vibe. It's summer so they should play some island reggae or chill country songs IMO. It's still nice with music regardless the genre. They have plenty of tables and seating styles scattered around and they have the grassy area in front of the stage. I suppose you can take a picnic mat or blanket out there to sit. Overall, this is a decent spot that's great for groups because there's a variety of food vendors to choose from. Note: it's summer and there were mosquitos - wear bug repellent and sunscreen. There's no breeze coming through here. I'd love to come back and try the other businesses here.
