Our go-to Thai food place for YEARS! It was Thai Basil before. It's so good my kids are asking for Thai for weekly! The food is deliciously consistent and the portions generous. We've always done take out from them so we're happy to continue to support them during covid (and not have to cook a meal or two). The pricing is reasonable and the food is quick to pick up. Our favorite picks include the Pad See Ew, Pai Thai, Panang Curry, Spicy Beef Salad, BBQ pork fried rice, Combo Fried Rice. The noodles and like many of their other dishes you can choose chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, tofu, and even any combination of the proteins. Just know you get one protein and there's a surcharge for extra. But it's worth it when you have a craving. We've typically gone with chicken or beef, and would occasionally add tofu. The cubed tofu are always nicely browned, lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The kids enjoy it too! The portions are always big enough that we have food leftover for either lunch or part of dinner the next day. My only complaint is that the combo fried rice has so little shrimp...they do state 2pc of shrimp on their menu, so at least they're setting expectations early. I'm so happy Thai Basil revamped themselves into the new The Basil! The website was so streamlined and easy to order from and the inside looks so fresh and new. The outside NEEDS a makeover! The food was amazing! I was so impressed with everything we ordered. The orange chicken tasted like actual oranges it was, tangy sweet and spicy! I was obsessed with the honey shrimp! The pineapple fried rice was on point, and the yellow curry was rich and creamy with the perfect amount of spice. The kids loved the dumplings and noodles. We ordered so much food so we could try everything and I thought the price was very reasonable! Some of my favorite yellow curry and pad thai around! I always get the peanut sauce to add to my noodles. They always remember to fry the tofu when I put it in the description. Don't come here if you like getting the best bang for your buck. It was my first time here today and I got the panang curry lunch special to-go. It came out to $7.50 with tax which is average priced so I expected an average portion meal. However, the portions were so skimpy. The curry came with about 6 pieces of chicken and some frozen peas and carrots. The description stated there were carrots in the curry and I was expecting fresh, cut pieces of carrots, not small frozen ones. In terms of flavor, the curry was watery. I will say though that the complimentary tom yum soup that they gave with the lunch special was excellent in flavor and came with a good amount of mushrooms and chicken. Food was ok, I asked for extra spicy and it tasted like mild, but other than that there was a HAIR IN MY FOOD. We ordered the drunken noodles and cashew nut chicken with a side of steamed rice so we don't know which dish it came from cause we found it as my bf was about to take a bite from his plate. I told the waitress about it and the manager came out to tell us that "no one has white hair" as an older woman with gray hair stood next to him. We didn't expect him to void the entire check but to at least void one plate of food and they couldn't even do that, they charged us regular price and a 50% off ONE dish lol. This place is AMAZING. I have been looking for a good Thai food place for six years. I was starting to give up, but this was everything Ive been hoping for. We ordered delivery which usually lowers the quality somewhat, but this was incredible. Everything was crispy, hot, and delicious. You can tell they use really high quality ingredients, and that everything was made fresh. It was SO GOOD. I'm thrilled. The person that answered the phone was sweet and helpful. What more could you ask for?! We arrived a few minutes before they opened. The place wreaked of cleaning products and bleach. After we complained of the smell, the workers opened up the doors for some air flow. Service was slow and we were the only ones there. While we were waiting for our food, a HUGE RAT ran through the restaurant and went under one of the booths!! The workers did not seem worried about it and one lady came to our table to explain that their business had been closed due to rat extermination. (I guess the treatment did NOT work!) Been coming here for about a year now and this place is hands down my favorite Thai spot ever. My favorite Thai dish is Green curry and they do it consistently right. The flavor is on point and the portions are generous. Like I read in another yelper's review, for me it was love at first bite here! When I discovered this place I was ordering every Friday for a month and a half. Recently I have been ordering at least once a month. My girlfriend and I love Thai food, so we were pretty excited to try this place. After about 10 minutes after we get our food, we noticed a long white hair in the pad see ew. We tell the waitress, and she grabs the hair and goes to the back. She comes back with a manager who tells us nobody that works there has white gray (which is a lie, an older lady that works there with gray hair was standing right next to him while he said that). So, I guess he was insinuating that WE put the white hair in the food. The waitress grabs the full plate of pad see ew and takes it away. The manager says he can only give us half off on the plate of food with the hair in it. I promise everyone reading this that there are WAY better thai options available in the area. I've tried this place twice and has good experiences both times. Fried Rice was amazing, shrimp was on point. Chow main was delicious. Beef and broccoli was tender and tasty. I would personally like to eat there next time just to be able to tweak my orders a little for my personal liking. If you were a customer of the previous owners, you will be sorely disappointed in the way the food recipes have changed. The new owners are using regular mushrooms instead of the authentic ones. Also, almost everything we ordered yesterday tasted very different and not in an appealing way. We did not want to eat it.
