The wings were freshly fried with a thin batter that stayed crispy even with the generous amount of sauce. The sauce was sweet, savory, and tangy - very tasty. My partner liked his tofu yellow curry with fried tofu appetizer as well. We got the lychee iced tea and Thai tea for our drinks - both were excellent! Good value for what you get! I've been coming to Naree Thai for years and would regularly drive from the Inland Empire just to eat here. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. The service from the main owner/manager (female) was by far the rudest I've experienced at this restaurant. When ordering, we were simply trying to explain how we wanted our dish prepared. For certain Thai dishes, there's a big difference between something being fried versus crispy, and we were trying to make sure it was prepared the same way we had ordered in the past. While we were speaking with another server to clarify the order, the manager stepped in, took over the conversation, and rushed the order through right after she clocked in. It felt very dismissive and like we weren't being listened to at all. When the dish came out, it wasn't what we had asked for. When we politely asked how we should properly word the order so it could be made correctly, she became visibly upset instead of simply explaining it. She then took the dish away, and no replacement was offered--nor was there any apology for the misunderstanding. I completely understand that restaurants have many customers to attend to, but we are paying customers as well. After years of making the drive here for a good meal, this experience was extremely disappointing. Sadly, this interaction cost you a loyal customer, and I will not be recommending this location anymore. As far as the ambience, they have no TVs that works, no music playing during dinner, and top it off- There's a huge leak over the bar area coming from the ceiling. read more

The service was great and the server was very helpful in assisting me in choosing a drink. I ordered the Spice Thai, which I had never tried before. It was very good. I also ordered the Pad Thai. Not sure why we've never been here before, as we are such big Thai food fans, but perhaps an excuse is that the location isn't the most convenient for us. Since we were staying at The Breakers across the street, though, we were able to walk over. Some friends had given it very high marks so we were curious to try it. The ambiance is definitely more elevated than a majority of Thai restaurants one encounters, but it still felt comfortable. Our party of 5 had no problems getting a table on a Monday night. Back for another visit in Long Beach. This night was pretty busy with pretty much the tables all utilized as well as people having dinner at the bar. We were able to get a table right when we walked in which was quite nice. The service was great as last and everyone was very friendly. A nice calm ambiance for a nice meal. Menu wise for both cocktails and dinner was great. It's a full menu so they pretty much have everything. Also a nice cocktail list that makes ordering pretty simple. Started off with a lychee martini which always is refreshing and goes down quite easily. And also had the detox delight which quite refreshing as well and the nice hint of cucumber reminds me of a cucumber martini. Dinner wise, we started off with the chicken satay served with peanut sauce and the pickle cucumber. Chunks of chicken was nice and tasty. Entrees, the chicken panang which you need to order a side or rice on the side. Sucks it doesn't come with the curry. The coconut sauce always makes it amazing but we asked for it spicy but it wasn't. And the tom yum noodle soup. Honestly it was good, but I've had better. It still was nice. I had it with the combination meat. Not much veggies to it except bean sprouts. We enjoyed our meal, cocktails were great. Service and staff were all amazing and very friendly. I came for lunch and got the spicy eggplant with medium spice. I like that they offer a lunch menu for $16 with a drink included. That is a great deal. The dish is very flavorful and is one of my favorites. The inside is very clean and inviting. The tofu in the pad see ew was like it came straight out of the package and wasn't sautéed in with the noodles. At least the Thai tea still tastes fine. Unfortantely, one of our favorite local spots will no longer be our go to for Thai food. For years, we have been coming to Naree for lunch and dinner takeout. We visit at least 2-3 times a month. Today , at lunch ..I ordered Pad Thai noodles with chicken. The lunch special comes with an appetizer so I started by eating the two small dumplings. When I picked up some of the noodles with my fork, it had a weird smell. I order these noodles all the time and it never smelled like that. I took one bite and almost threw up. I had to drink my lemon water and some white rice to wash the taste out. I told the waiter something is wrong with my noodles . He was hesitant and when I tried to hand him the noodles to get the smell away he just stood there and stared at me. I asked him if he would please take the plate away and I'll order something else. He said that I probably can't do that. I was shocked and said well please take the plate away (the entire time I'm was trying to hand him the plate, he stood there looking at me) When it went past my mom's nose, she gagged. He went and talked to the his manager and came back and said since I took a bite they can't get me anything else. I said that's fine . He came back and said actually the manager approved to make me something else. At this point, my stomach was getting more and more irritated and after the way they were treating me , I wasn't accepting any food .When they brought the bill, they charged me $2 for the appetizer dumplings. We paid for it and I went over to the guy who the server said was the manager to talk to him. He denied being the manager but agreed to hear me out. I told him how disappointed I was after coming for so many years and as often as we come. He responded saying the kitchen said there was nothing wrong with the noodles and wanted to charge me for the two dumplings, As a customer, I felt that they didn't care and didn't believe me even though I just paid $80 for the rest of my family's lunch. Nothing is ever perfect , and I was initially willing to try another dish ..however the customer care was extremely disappointing. They lost our ongoing business. read more

Visited Naree on a Tuesday evening. It was not busy however it seems they were short staffed as it took a while for the server to address my table. When the server arrived he was very kind and attentive going forward. The restaurant was beautiful and clean perfect for a date night or something more casual. I tried the steamed Dim Sum which was hearty and packed with flavor. I would love to try them again fried. Also tried the deliciously sweet Lychee Tea. I could drink this all day long especially on a hot day. Next up I tried the spicy crab noodle, shrimp Thai fried rice and the roasted duck fried rice. All had amazing bold spice and flavor. I am a sucker for Thai Food and I am always on a hunt for a good Thai place when I travel. Overall, the food was pretty good! I wasn't a huge fan of my Pad See Ew noodles as they had a unique after taste to them. I think it was the spice they used. Drunken noodles are one of my favorite Thai dishes and this one wasn't bad, I've just had better. If I were to go back, I wouldn't order it again. I tried the Shrimp Thai Basil fried rice and the Duck Thai Basil fried rice and it was sooo good! I 10/10 recommend getting that if you are debating what you want to get. The quality of food is authentic and has pretty good flavor to them. As far as service, I am slightly disappointed (with is why I am giving it only 3 stars). We went on a weekday evening where the restaurant wasn't busy. When we arrived, we weren't really greeted or acknowledged and it took well over 10-15 minutes before a server came to our table to ask/offer us drinks. They didn't really seem as attentive to any of the tables. We took an Uber there so I am unable to share my experience with parking. Anyway, tonight, I was being treated out by my friend Dylan because I've fallen in love with his pup and I've been walking him while D was at work. So he wanted to thank me with dinner. :) We parked out front (be careful of the meter times and green parking - 30 min max but free after 9pm. So maybe park around the corner or not on the green spot). Ok, so we walked in and the ambiance felt fancy and pretty inside. We decided to sit at the bar and I was stuck between the duck fried rice, duck curry and crispy pork with Chinese broccoli. I got the Duck pineapple curry (and asked for spicy) with brown rice and my friend got the beef Pad Thai plus a veggie tempura! They were all so yummy! Lol! My wife and our friends decided to give this spot a try after seeing them featured on nate.eatz and honestly...it was just decent. The dining room is spacious and inviting with attentive service from the staff. The food, however, was a mixed bag. Highlights included the satae beef and chicken, both quite tender and loaded with flavor even before the legit peanut dipping sauce. Their signature lychee duck curry was similarly robust. Noodle dishes like the Naree pad thai were unique though overcooked. The pad see ew came meagerly portioned a little too sweet for our preferences. Kudos to Naree for keeping it spicy. I had the Pad Kee Mao last night and was delighted that YES they made it spicy! Too often I think restaurants underestimate heat levels, judging their customers! But Naree's heat level was perfect and the spice just right. A little low on the tofu but perhaps adjusting to rising costs? Also just a tad dry so giving only 4 stars. But it's edges on 5. Their rice presentations always very cool. We eat with our eyes right? My friend's fried rice was light and flavorful. The other friend had Shrimp Pad Thai which was the night's winner for me.
