Cappuccino with whipped cream was delicious, I will absolutely get again.

My family comes here often and we enjoy it every time. I looooove the kartoffelsalat and often get extra to take home with me (we drive an hour to get here and eat). Their red cabbage is also fantastic as well. We are never disappointed and Mt Dora is always so picturesque too which is lovely.

The sauerbraten, red cabbage & warm potato salad was delicious! The service was great. Bring your own water bottle or pay for water. Ambiance outside seating with a nice breeze.

Fantastic beer, I mean is there any other reason to go to a Beir Hall? They do serve food which smelled delicious but I didn't order any. I would 100% plan for this spot during octoberfest and generally when I want a good fresh lager.

I would for sure give the food a 5stars. The ambience was nice outside. Inside was tiny and quaint. You could tell the waitress was very busy, I think it was just her working alone. I've been to Hollerbachs in Sanford so many times. This food was outstanding compared to Hollerbachs, which I love too. We would come again to try and hopefully the service will get better.

This is the second time we've been here and this time was better. We were a table of seven and everyone got something different. I would love to tell you what they had, but it was in German and English and I got confused. Everyone was happy with the food with no complaints. Oh ya the table got the Radlers drinks and loved them.

As far as authentic German preperation goes, this place has it down. Yet, today's experience left me a bit...wanting. I wanted the dish I ordered to be served, but instead of Schnitzel Champignon, I was presented with Jagerschnitzel. While I enjoy the Jager finish, it wasn't the creamier, sour cream based with mushroom treatment my mouth was set for. As it took much longer to receive our food order than in past visits, (it was a busy afternoon at the Cafe), so a tad longer wait was to be expected. And, as I did not wish to wait another 20 min. for a refired order, I settled for the dish that was presented. We had driven 40+ mins. from Port Orange to celebrate my daughter's b-day, per her request, and were happy to do so. Still, some nagging details...incorrect order, smaller portions of Schnitz and spatzele (except for the red cabbage), and higher prices left the experience to be less than desired. I know it's a tough industry to be sure..but having had better experiences in the past here, I was hoping it would match those times, instead of setting new less than thrilling standards.

We love to try new things, German/ Polish food on the beach was certainly new…read more We walked in and were greeted and seated immediatley. The server explained she was training a new person. This was his first night and was equally as good as the primary server, except he had to get help on a few questions we had that related to how to use certain sauces etc. And he got the help very quickly. We started with the pork belly. Fried crispy on the outside and still tender on the inside. It was served with what looked like marinara, but it had an amazing spice mixture in it. Spices as in seasoning, not heat. The best pork belly I have ever had, I could eat just this, and if I were alone it would be enough. We had a cup of hunters soup and polish mushroom soup. Both were very good. I would skip those next time to save room for other things, but only because I would rather eat other things. There were enough tables to seat quite a few people without overcrowding anyone. As a main course we decided to split the polish sampler. 2 potato pancakes, 2 cabbage rolls, 8 perogies and a polish sausage. We didn't know how big the sausage would be so we ordered a side, we did not need it. There was so much food, we did not finish it all and my wife had some for lunch the next day, and still there was leftovers. The place is hidden in a 3 story shopping center, but well worth looking for.

Have you ever wondered what German pastry heaven would look like?…read moreWell, look no further, Yalaha Bakery is what you've been dreaming of! My husband and I have been searching for a German bakery since we both have a sweet tooth for baked goodies. He's been telling me about how legendary German goulash tastes since before we got married (it's been a few years now ) and the Yalaha Bakery menu mentioned seasonal soup including goulash so of course we had to stop here. We visited on a rainy Wednesday afternoon around 4:45 pm. This place has modest architecture and a small parking lot, but don't let that fool you since as soon as you open the door, there are 4 glorious levels of tasty treats under a refrigerated glass display and fresh bread in shelves behind the counter. There were about 4 customers in the shop and a few others that came in while we were ordering. Everything looked so delectable, so it was hard to choose from the huge variety! Our bakery order ended up being quite large, so I'm glad my husband brought the cooler with him. We got 1 rhubarb pie (for a gift), 1 rhubarb streusel (another gift), 1 apple streusel, 1 German apple pie, 1 tiramisu, 2 lavender shortbread cookies, 1 eclair, 1 cream horn, 1 Brazilian caramel bar, 4 pretzel rolls, and 4 large pretzels. There might be a few other things as well. The order was about $125 with tip. Excellent customer service by the counter girl, and she was very patient while we were deciding on things. After we packed our pastries in the cooler, we went back to check out the deli section. They had a lot of German deli items to choose from, but what I was really interested in was the goulash. The very kind counter lady (possibly the owner?) took my order, and I couldn't have asked for a heartier, soul-warming soup for about $6. The meat was cooked to soft perfection. The veggies (peppers, tomato, and potato if I recall correctly) melted away while you sipped the soup that tasted like it was made by your favorite extra-skilled German grandma. I was in stew heaven. Of course, I shared a few spoonfuls with my husband, and it was gone in a few minutes. All in all, we discovered that Yalaha Bakery is a hidden gem in Yalaha, FL. If you love bakeries and handmade treats like we do, this is a great place to visit. Prepare your bank account to splurge on pastries, artisan German bread, and remember to stop by the deli! We'll be back again next time we're in the area on one of our road trips.

DATE NIGHT NEW PLACES ADVENTURE!!!…read more The wife and I went to Krush Brau Park for what was supposed to be an Event this past Sept. Live Band, Classic Car Show, Food, Beer, Wine. A real Event!!! Well when we got there we found out that it was not an Event at all. The Event was under a tent on the other side of the parking lot from their main restaurant. So we took the walk over through the parking lot while passing their under construction brewery building. When we walk into the tent we find... First: Very little people. For an Event I would think the large tent would at least be half full, 50-60 people. It was not, there was probably about 20 patrons present. As we sat their we saw other couples or Families doing the same thing they ordered food and were stuck till they got it. They ate it and left. That's exactly what we did as well. There were people who stayed the whole time, but they were drinking one beer after another practically. Actually saw a guy get carried out by his friends. Glad my kids weren't with us. The environment was relaxed and semi festive with flags, but not much else. Second: No live band. Music was from someone's phone with commercials, lol. Honestly, even if they had a live band. With how tall the stage is in comparison to the tent. You wouldn't see them playing unless you were in the first 5 feet of the tent. There is a very small grass space in between and that doesn't help much as then you wouldn't most likely be blocking that 5 foot into the tent. It a good layout for live music visuals. Third: the food. As I looked around I saw very little consumers with food. We can here to specifically try their Bavarian pretzels. So we said let's get a drink and a pretzel then bounce to the next spot!!! We ordered a Mojito 12$, Coke 2$ & Bavarian Pretzel 10$. We were given our drinks and we waited and waited and waited. 26 mins for a pretzel!!! We were almost done with our drinks when we finally got the pretzel. The pretzel was soft, but small and luke warm. Not hot and fresh. The beer cheese was good, but standard taste. Now we saw why barely anyone had food when we walked in. We found that rather than serving the food direct at the restaurant or have a trailer at the tent to cook in. They were driving the food over from the main restaurant and causing a large gap in serving time to this not existent Event. This is creating a Timelapse and outside temp exposure to all the food before giving it to the consumers. Service was ok. The people were very nice, but you did feel forgotten about unless you walked up for something as they just stood in the booths and weren't out cleaning tables or talking with customers. It was more like a hang out under the tent and a separate one for the employees in the Service Trailer. Hopefully they will figure it out, but Krush Brau Park needs allot of improvement in their Events & SOP's before we will ever return for any reason!!! (SOP's= Standard Operating Procedures) Was hoping for a Fun New Place, but we will have to wait to give this pace a second chance once the brewery is open. It did look very cool with a large rock or mountain on the outside so I kinda can't wait to see what they do on the inside. Also, to see where they can go and how they change their Pretzel and Service Practices. Maybe the Main Restaurant is a better experience, but the pretzel wasn't really worth the price or Tasty enough to make us want to go back to try their sausages or spend money on anything else at this time. AS ALWAYS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

The place had some outdoor seating, but at 52 degrees outside, we needed to sit at one of the 5 indoor tables. Victoria, our server showed us the limited menu for the night. No pricing was evident, but we chatted about a few items. She related the side items that came with various entries and we ordered. Another couple came in and sat near us. They appeared to be regulars since they asked about the two for one drink special that was part of their prior attendance and Victoria said it was still available. Well, we then jumped on that, since she did not tell us about it. I ordered Jaeger Schnitzel with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. My wife had the bourbon chicken with rice. Photos show what we had. The food was ok, the chicken dish had a kind of curry flavor, and ample chicken pieces, but no vegetables, just a dinner roll. My dinner had limited mushroom gravy on the breaded pork cutlet and on the mashed potatoes. When the bill was presented, I noticed an extra $1.00 charge for the red cabbage. And the entry was priced $2.00 more than the website price was on their site. My fault for not asking. Supply shortages cause changes, but it would have been beneficial to ask the prices. The service was prompt, food good, but not exceptional and the place has potential. Just needs more customers to get the kinks out.
