We was ono for elote, street corn...etc...lol! The corn place we always go to is closed every time we go north shore. Glad I saw the beach bus because they have and they was open! For me it was steep at $8.00 each but like my wife said best $8.00 we ate today and it's our wedding anniversary so we splurged all day...lol!

We love this place and always stop by when we're in town! The pulled pork is awesome, the corn is sooooo tasty and fills the Woodys shaped hole in our hearts. Super glad The Beach Bus is open for business so we can get our corn and bbq fix when we're on the north shore!

Came to the North Shore Oahu for our wedding anniversary. We've been here for three days and so far, we have only had one decent meal and have been terribly disappointed with the rest. Yesterday, we meant to get dinner here at the Beach Bus, but they had already sold out. We went to the food trucks at the adjacent Kahuku Sugar Mill Food Trucks and were very disappointed with the meal we had at a Huli Huli Chicken Food Truck that had been visited by Guy Fieri. So don't go to that one! We came back today (a Saturday) after having a disappointing breakfast in Historic Hale'iwa Town. I ordered the chicken plate at The Beach Bus and hubsters ordered the Cubano with garlic fries. My chicken plate came with white rice, corn on the cob with butter and garlic seasoning and three pieces of smoked chicken thighs with bbq sauce. The 3rd piece of chicken was extra as their chicken plates usually come with two pieces of chicken. The chicken was epic - freshly cooked, tender and flavorful! And the corn on the cob was amazing with the butter and garlic seasoning! And the white rice was ... well ... uh... just that! White rice! You can't mess that up! My husband stated his Cubano was delicious! A huge portion served with garlic seasoned french fries. I'm not a big fan of Cubanos but I can definitely say that the fries were awesome! I highly recommend The Beach Bus if you are looking for a good meal in the North Shore! We will definitely be coming back!

I only purchased dessert so I can't speak for the main entrees but I loved what I purchased. The ice cream is homemade, they have deep fried cheesecake (my favorite dessert), and the employees are extremely polite and fun to talk to. They even have a little wild mascot named Gecky who loves powdered sugar :) Love the vibe, they play music loudly so it's a different energy the some of the Kahuku food truck area, but it adds to the fun. Highly recommend!

Stumbled on this place as I'm picky and didn't want shrimp as most of the food trucks had shrimp or lobster. A cute little spot they have seating outside next to the food truck and they do have the shade coverings but depending on when you go there may not be much shade. The guy taking our order was nice and great. The food lacked in flavor and we got the waffle dog which is like a corn dog but covered in waffle batter. Not bad just different and it was drizzled with cheese sauce. They do have different things to choose from and a good little variety.

Warning! This is the great deception! A waffle with tiny bits of banana. NOT a whole banana dipped in waffle!

YELPER BUYERS BEWARE! While this friendly local little food truck draws you near with its postings about waffle goodies and yummy sweet corn, smothered in butter & tangy spices. The corn, while pricey at $8.00 for a single cob, satisfies with rich buttery flavor and the great spice & parmesan cheese on top. However, The banana waffles on a stick, are not quite what you might think of. I was very disappointed in the so-called "banana waffle". I even asked if they use local kine candy apple banana & the server enthusiastically said YES! However, they don't tell you the banana is cut up or smashed & stirred into the waffle batter! BUYER BEWARE! They are deceiving you by using a small amount of actual banana instead of using a whole or even half a banana to dip & bake in the shape of a banana on a stick, before smothering it with a chocolate & peanut-butter drizzle. It's a hollow banana shaped waffle with a tiny amount of banana inside!!! A scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side comes with it. However I feel that's false advertising, to sale what is more like a banana flavored waffle, than an actual banana inside a waffle! I was looking forward a nice local banana inside. Much like a corn dog! It was ok but not worth $10.00! I feel like a tourist that just got used for a $10.00 sale! I would come back and pay $10.00 for a whole banana waffle on a stick. Not the imaginary banana shaped waffle on a stick! So bummed I didn't get a waffle coated local candy apple banana on a stick!

I was drawn by the shave ice since there was a long line at Giovani's Shrimp Truck. Ty's Beach Bus was just across the unpaved road on a high mound. After I parked nearby, got out of car and started walking toward the truck for some snacks. I saw corn vendors on the way to Kahuku Sugar Mill. But I couldn't stop to get them. My friends were laughing at me about stopping the in middle of nowhere. Adding a corn for $8 was not a big deal at the time, until I saw what happened next. I walked back to my car and asked my friend to take a picture of me holding both cord and shave ice on both hands. The oil dripped all over my shorts. I didn't notice that until I got back to my hotel. The corn was drenched with butter-flavored oil and not enough spices on the corn. I remember Kahuku Corns used to be tender and sweet. But mine was not. Most importantly, why would you put that much oil? I would never understand. Now, about the shave ice. I took some bites before I handed it to my friend who loved strawberry everything. When I returned from washing my hands, I saw the red ice ball on the ground. Come to find out, there were ants inside of the shave ice. Just to be safe, he threw the entire cup away. Yeah. Poor sanitation. I am not coming back again.

The food is awesome love the Cuban sandwich the service is friendly and welcoming. Must stop by and also grab you some ono smoked chicken and ribs.

Had a strawberry and oreo waffle. They were both delicious. If you like it sweeter go for the oreo. Made fresh to order so had to wait just a few minutes but it was well worth the 4-5 minutes.

The food is so ono & great I eat here every once and awhile after work. The service is amazing they always take care of me and always welcome me with a warm smile. 10/10 recommend if you want a filling lunch and amazing service.

Legit food here, real nice smoked meats done on site. Corn, ribs, pork all amazing, very friendly people here, will definitely come back.

Another great spot at Kahuku Sugar Mill. They have an expansive menu and I am not sure how they manage to create all of it inside such a tiny spot. The waffle and nuggets were great. Super friendly employees, it truly is wonderful to interact with folks here.

    Fresh, local roasted corn.
    Madeline B.

Bring cash. Skip the other trucks. Get the corn, fully loaded. You won't regret it. I could do without the blaring country music, but the corn's worth the aural assault.

We ordered the Spicy Shrimp and the Shrimp Scampi plates, and neither was impressive. The food came out almost instantly, which proves it is not cooked to order. Because it sits around, the shrimp is incredibly difficult to peel. Anyone who cooks shrimp knows that if you do not peel it right after cooking, the shell sticks to the meat, which was exactly the case here. The Spicy Shrimp had a decent kick, but it lacked actual flavor. The Shrimp Scampi was better but still bland. Honestly, 9 out of 10 shrimp places back home in Southern California make a better plate. To make things worse, the two ladies managing the truck were rude. My wife asked for extra napkins, not realizing some were already in the bag. The worker snapped back, "Are those not enough?" and made her feel super awkward. We also asked for a cup of ice to go with our canned sodas. They flatly refused and told us to ask another truck nearby. Luckily, the other truck owners were much nicer and gave us the ice. Save your time and money. There are much better, friendlier options out there.

We drove up to get there just before noon on a Saturday. It was rainy, so the numbers were a bit light in the area, but there were still thirteen people in line when the truck opened for business. The owner was fun, friendly, and engaging the customers in conversations while prepping the food. There are times when I think some food truck owners take on the role of a short order cook and get annoyed that you don't understand "how" you're supposed to order; that was certainly NOT the case here. You just need to decide if you want a hot or regular sandwich and whether you want bleu cheese or special sauce. We got one hot and one regular, but the chicken is HUGE and two adults can easily share one sandwich. I'm torn, because while we would probably order just one sandwich next time, I also want to support the business and get two. The chicken was as good as everyone told us and had incredible crispy batter. The fries though...those were maybe the best I've ever had. I don't normally love the double cooked style fry, but could live off those and never get tired of them. It's just uncomfortable when certain people get friendly, effusive mahalos and others get terse thanks, like I didn't want to be serving you food today. Maybe cause it was Mother's Day and they didn't want to be there? Sure didn't feel like 'ohana today. So many flies around, it made eating uncomfortable.
