What a super cute place! We sat at a booth facing the water and the colors, vibes, music and table settings were so much fun. The details were so fun as well...the lamp, the napkin holder, the alcohol soaked piece of fruit that came on top of the drinks. I saw this place on social media and so I met up with two girlfriends here. But that's it! The food...so mediocre and not good. I was warned in some reviews, but I was still willing to try and still hopeful. Prices are high, $25 for two pieces of bananas foster french toast, $35 for lobster benedict that consisted of a piece of toast and a few pieces of lobster. It was very under seasoned and bland. It also came out cold. My friend liked her ahi tuna salad but it was not a very big portion for $26. She ordered a side of biscuit and gravy and that was cold as well. The biscuit was so dry and so hard to cut through, it was not good. Not many options for brunch. So disappointing because the place is so cute. Great concept but food needs to be better for us to come back. Also looking down onto the deck with all the boats and floating little boats that you can eat on was fun, but there was so much bird crap on the top of the tarps of those things that it was just gross seeing it while trying to eat the mediocre food. It might be good trying to clean it off.

I really wanted to like this place as it has a cute ambiance. However it was a very disappointing experience. I felt they were understaffed as service is the worst I've experienced. Our reservation was at 1pm and we weren't seated till 1:45pm. Then it took another 20 mins before our server took our orders so we ordered both drinks and food. They offered complimentary champagne for the wait which was served room temp. Food was mediocre. It's not a place I would repeat again considering the price you pay where food quality and service were not to my liking

The CUTEST, pinkest restaurant perfect for brunch and dinner with your girlies! This place is a girly girl's dream- full of photo ops, cute decor and design, booths for big groups, AND FREE DUFFY RIDE WED THROUGH FRIDAY BEFORE 7:30 PM. The service was excellent. Our waitress was so kind and had great recommendations. I could also see the big boss interacting with bussers, servers, and hostesses, helping out in the kitchen, etc. The food itself is where it fell a bit short. Calamari: too chewy, the batter was not crispy- cut into little squares. A bit strange. Did have a yummy sweet sauce on it though! The burger: it was pretty bland and the patty needed a lot more salt. Wish it had more veggies on there. Fries: Thick, soft and too potatoey. Salmon: this was actually delicious! Came with an orange sauce that made it perfect. The potatoes and sugar snap peas were my favorite part of the meal. Drinks were cute but really sweet and artificial tasting. I will def be back to try the brunch and make it to the boat ride in time!

This place is definitely for the girlies! I wish I had known about this place sooner. The interior is super cute, and it's a great place to have a little birthday celebration dinner! RECOMMENDATION: ~The chicken picatta perfection is so good! Definitely get it. ~If you like espresso cocktail's, the midnight miami is such a good choice and comes w burnt marshmallow. Service was good. It is $19 per cocktail, which is pricey but the drinks have a lot of work put into the aesthetic so I guess it makes sense.

Since Parking was such a breeze and service was above and beyond, we will be returning. Us girls even decided to make it a yearly thing. I will say it was a bit hot, but to enjoy the waterfront seating. Drinks and food were good too.

We came here for brunch on a Saturday without a reservation and luckily we were sat right away with a nice view of the marina. Everything is so cute and pink, definitely a lot of photo ops! Since it was brunch the menu was limited. I had the pink chicken and waffles and my hubby got the monte cristo sandwich. Food was just ok, and pretty expensive. The drinks were good and strong. The decor, ambiance, and overall aesthetic are what really stand out. We brought our two kids ages 4 and 5. Our server Stephanie was so sweet and kind to our kids, and she made us feel very welcomed. She offered us off menu food items for the kids. The manger also made his rounds and checked in on us as well. Stephanie also surprised us by bringing out a nice birthday dessert for me at the end of our meal. Great service! Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable!

Nigel's is super cute, classy and quaint beautiful restaurant! Monica was the absolute best, the sweetest spirit and she was very helpful with my girlfriend andso selecting great starters and entrees. Thank you for all of the good recommendations Monica. You were so genuine and very attentive to us. Thank you do much for being the hostess with the mostess :-) After you eat Nigel's offers a nice scenic cruise around the harbor but after waiting for about 10 mins, I asked the attendant at the dock if he knew about how how long before the guide would return and he said "no". I asked him if he knew if it would be about 10 or 15 mins or if he knew when he left and he said "no" very nonchalant, flat and unconcerned so we left because we did have somewhere to go. As we were walking out another hostess asked why are you leaving and I told him that the attendant outside didn't know how long before the guide would return then he was so nice and said we can just radio him "let me check " but we told him it was ok, we would try to come back another time. That was very nice of him but the little guy outside needs a bit more personality even if he didn't know. Outside of that everything was excellent!! Thanks again Monica!

My friend's spritzer/mocktail was prettier than my yummy margarita, so i snapped this to share.

I was in the other night for a dear friend's birthday, and we had the best time! The food was pretty good, but this rating is primarily for service. We had the most delightful server, Adeli. She was knowledgeable, patient, personable, and her smile lit up the entire restaurant. What a joy Adeli was! I also want to give big love to the aesthetics and the views. It is such an energetic and inspiring space overlooking the waterfront. We felt like we were on vacation the entire time. Oh, and the cocktails were sublime! If you're looking for a super adorable space for a girls' night, or a date with a super fun suitor, this is the place to be! Give Adeli a huge raise!

Nigel's on the Waterfront exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. The décor is absolutely stunning - far more than just pretty in pink. The playful wallpaper, drink and dinnerware, and Art Deco-inspired touches create a fun, sophisticated atmosphere that's unlike anywhere else. The waterfront setting makes it even more beautiful!! The food and cocktails were both delicious, and everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. I loved the Hot Girl Spicy Tuna Bowl, and the Flamingo Beet Hummus. Our group agreed the calamari was some of the best we've ever had! What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. Our waitress, Monica, was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. Bobby, the manager, also went out of his way to check on us and ensure everything was perfect, which really speaks to the level of hospitality here. If you're looking for a restaurant with incredible ambiance, great food and drinks, and outstanding service, Nigel's is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to come back!

First timers and had a good experience. Fun vibes as soon as you walk up to restaurant. View of the water and theming down to furniture and dishware is unique. Variety cocktail options which all drinks we had tasted great; not overly sweet and you could taste the alcohol. I had a Sassy and Sweets and green drink both had a wonderful mess of ingredients. Coastal Crab Cakes and Truffles fries were great with the crab cakes having a good amount of filling. Closed the evening out with a speciality Butter Cakes and although we were full we ate every last bite, delicious. Customer service was good and enjoyed how the team worked cohesively. I recommend Nigel's.

Let me start by saying YES the decor is pink, green and gold and beautiful. LOTS of photo opp locations. Now, let's get into the food. It's all AMAZING. The hype isn't just for the decor. It's beautiful and the food is tasty. I literally can't wait to go back next week with my friends. The staff went out of their way, or maybe it is their way. They kept checking on us, told us about new items and recommendations. For the appetizer for sure get the deviled eggs, for the dessert the new churro ice cream. All the food was good, but the sea bass has my heart. The Duffy boat after go see the jellyfish was a highlight and you should def not miss that! Try it out, 10/10 for me

This review is only for ambiance and the drink I got. Stopped by for a quickie got the aperol spritz it was tasty! Very cute decor ambiance was vibing. Everyone there was dressed for the environment - either real cute or real pink and cute. The servers also had special attire. The view of the marina was nice. I'd love to come back and try their food and try out a Duffy boat!

So not only is this spot adorable in all aspects of decor the food is good too! And service is also awesome, Dennis the menace is fabulous as the owner, Nigel, acknowledged us by greeting us and asking how our food was, appreciate that! I tried lobster grilled cheese with tomato soup which had a nice portion ofand say this bcs most places that offer a dish with added lobster, it's only sprinkled in, not Nigel's, this was worth the $. My friend had a burger she said it was pretty good, cooked as order, no complaints and ohhhh yeah I ordered fries, those were bomb with the cheese on top! For drinks I went with one from the mocktail list and added alcohol(bacardi), watermelon mojito which was excellent not too sweet and friend had passion tini, she liked as well. Booked a date for our friend group to enjoy brunch next month.

Ask the Community - Nigel's Waterfront Restaurant

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

Yes, our patio is dog-friendly! We welcome well-behaved dogs, but we do ask that they remain on the floor (not on furniture) and are kept under control so they don’t disturb other guests.

Does the cabana seating option have access to a full lunch menu or just appetizers?

You’re welcome to order from the full food and drink menu served at the cabanas.

Can you accommodate a party of 14 people?

    Definitely

Is this place kid-friendly or is it 21 over?

Hi we are celebrating my daughters birthday there on Saturday, can I take a small birthday cake?

Yes you can take a cake , they will keep it for you until your ready for it .

I've been trying to see if it's possible to make a reservation for 6 without booking a cabana. Wondering if would it be easier to just do a walk in and how long is the wait?

Hello! Sure you’re always welcome to walk in. Wait times would really vary based on the day and time of arrival. We have many tables that seat 6 in our main dining area that wouldn’t require a cabana. Cabanas are typically comfortable for a group of…

Hi do I need to make reservations on a Friday early afternoon for 2? And can could we get a complimentary boat ride after?

We do accept walkins. And yes this month in January, our complimentary boat rides are for Wednesday thru Friday.

I just saw a tiktok that said you get a free boat ride during the week for lunch. Is this true?

Yes we offer a complimentary boat ride on Wed-Fri during lunch . After your meal, let your server know you’d like to take the complimentary boat ride and they’ll direct you where to go.

Does this restaurant have a bottomless mimosa brunch?

We do not have bottomless mimosas. Drinks are ordered by the glass or bottle

Can a wheelchair bound person still access the Duffy boats?

The Duffy boats are rented through Anchors Away Boat Rental. A wheelchair can be wheeled down the dock ramp next to the boat. A Duffy boat does not have a flat surface to wheel a chair onto. Please reach out to Anchors Away to see how they might be…

Mom uses a walker, will you accommodate her? Handicap parking? Is it far to walk to?

Hi Sarah, to answer the parking question. There is underground parking which has direct access at Nigel's and I think they offer a valet that will let you out right on the carpet. I believe there are a couple handicap parking spots.…

    Will you take walk-in reservations?

    Yes of course!

    How is parking there?

Parking is super easy. You can easily park in the parking lot by Nordstrom's or Ralph's and walk down the stairs to Nigel's, OR better yet if there is available parking, you can go underground and I believe they will have valet parking. Also there…

The employees were also friendly and helpful when we had questions about the menu. What really stood out to me was the flavor! The drinks are rich, flavorful, and really well-balanced. It's not bitter, overly sweet, or too plain. Everything we tried tasted consistent and intentional. The prices are a little on the higher side, but based on the quality, I think it's worth it. I came because I was looking for a new brunch spot in Long Beach and was totally drawn in by the Brazilian cheese bread, and boy, it did not disappoint! We ordered the deviled egg toast and pastrami sando, both of which were delicious! As a lover of deviled eggs, I was in heaven with my toast. The pastrami sando had too strong of a mustard for me (it also had a slight horseradish flavor), but it was still good for my fiance! I also ordered a hazelnut latte, and it's super cool that the latte comes with coffee ice cubes- it's like extra coffee! Like I said, though, I was mainly here for the Brazilian cheese bread, but since it was our first visit, Rafael hooked us up with a complementary half order! So nice of him! And you know what? The cheese bread lived up to the hype- it had such a nice, glutinous chewy texture, and the cheese was so savory. I could probably eat a 16 piece order- and I probably will next time! The food was so good, it had me bustin out some moves at the table and inspired me to order a passionfruit margarita, which was also delicious! Other than that, the restaurant had super nice vibes. It's mostly outdoor seating, but a majority of tables are covered, and they also have little fans on each table to keep flies away. The only thing that could have elevated this experience would be a side of lady fingers for dipping purposes. The breakfast burrito came packed with crispy potatoes, plus, eggs, bell peppers, chipotle aioli, and cheddar. To be honest, I found this burrito to be lacking. It was about 90% potato and I'm pretty sure the aioli listed on the menu description was non-existent.
