I had a pretty smooth experience here because everyone else was attending the annual Grand Prix. Perfect timing. I arrived before 9AM, but there was already a line of people waiting for the restaurant to open. They were waiting outside the gate, on the steps, spilling out onto the sidewalk. There were three groups ahead of me, so I was standing on the sidewalk. Once staff opened the gate, we all walked towards the host/hostess booth. So many tables, all outdoors. Great view of the ocean. The hostess seated groups along the outside tables first, so I was seated at a table with one of the best views. I noticed the menu states there is a time limit of 1 1/2 hours per table. That's actually good, otherwise people would be loitering for who knows when. I ordered a latte ($8) with almond milk ($1) and the Crème brûlée French toast ($20). Delicious. It was one thick slice of bread. I tasted the thin coat of torched sugar. I've been to Claire's before and remembered really enjoying the food but recently went back and was very disappointed. I got the crème brûlée French toast and a tres leches latte. The latte tasted very watered down. The crème brûlée French toast came with one slice of bread with a bit of fruit. No sides or additional slices for $20. I definitely felt hungry after our meal. Not sure exactly what was supposed to make it crème brûlée, as there was no crème or brûlée (lol) My friends also had small portions and we joked about the new sizing keeping up with the ozempic trend. This spot is located right on Ocean Boulevard so you have to find street parking. It's located at the museum of Art in the back and it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. They're open for brunch till 3 PM and do last call seating at 2 PM. This spot is beautiful because of where it's located you get the whole ocean view so it's perfect for taking Mom or the family or whoever but it's beautiful on a nice day. There isn't much on the menu and some of these things are overpriced for the little portion you received, but it's not bad quality. What we order?: Steak and eggs ($38)comes with french fries or you can choose sweet potato fries for an extra up charge of $3 Lemon ricotta pancakes comes to the stack of three ($$?) You're basically paying for the views it's like I said before it is price is a little bit higher, but it's well worth it. Claire's is this great beachfront restaurant located on Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, California. As his name implies, it is located right next to the Long Beach Museum of Art. Thus, finding it is easy. This restaurant is based around an outdoor dining experience. So, when the weather is kind, it is a great place to enjoy a really excellent meal. On the sunny days, they open up the umbrellas, and this should keep you fairly protected from the sun. The view from the main deck of the restaurant, looks out over the Pacific Ocean. So, it's always a very appealing place to enjoy the time with the people you are enjoying your meal with. In terms of food, their menu is a a nice selection of options. Based on Modern Americana, with a little bit of offerings from here and there, you can always find something really fun and tasty eat. The food here is prepared with great ingredients. Plus, it always arrives with a very nice presentation. In terms of drinks, they have all of the items you would expect. From coffee, to lattes, to soft drinks, to a nice selection of cocktails. Pretty much anything you want, you'll be able to find a good example of it being offered by this restaurant. Claire's is a popular destination. So, you really need to keep that in mind when you arrive here. If you show up as a couple, or in a small group, later in the day, you may have to wait a little while for a table. For larger groups, I understand they take reservations, so if you are in a larger group, you may want to make that reservation, as then a table will be waiting for your group when you arrive. This restaurant has a parking lot. I always find that a little bit difficult to deal with. What I do, is I generally park along one of the side streets just off of Ocean Boulevard. There, parking is never too much of a problem, even on the weekends. Plus, it makes coming and going much easier. Overall, this is a fun place to eat. Always a great experience! I've been to the restaurant many times, attended a wedding, brunches, weekday lunches and more recently on a Thursday. The food is always amazing and the service A+. Whether brunch, lunch or dinner with friends, it's aways a top-notch experience. On this occasion, my dining partner had the Salmon BLT and I had the sprig salad, added with chicken. All excellent. We order the coffee soon as we sat. Coffee came almost as we were leaving. And they still have the audacity to want to charge us 22% gratuity.!!!!!! Visited with my sister for a girls brunch, it was amazing! I tried their french toast with a side of their breakfast potatoes. She tried the chicken parm pasta. It was so delicious and filling, we are definitely going back! Our fav were the potatoes they were mini and mashed instead of diced. The view was so nice we could see everyone down by the sand and feel the fresh breeze. Our server was so sweet she was very accommodating and friendly! Located up on a bluff overlooking Long Beach. Very nice brunch menu. Servers are attentive. Cloth tablecloths and napkins, silverware and china give it a dressy feel. There was a small baby shower at one table. A birthday celebration at another table, and a space partitioned off for a wedding shower. This is the place for celebrations. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with creamy lemon ricotta topped with fresh berries . I didn't need any syrup. Long Beach is the midpoint between a friend group of mine so we met in the morning for yoga in the park and after walked over to Claire's at the Museum for brunch. We had reservations so the four of us were seated right away. The two people ahead of us were turned away because there was an hour wait. It really didn't seem too busy. The seating is outside under umbrellas. We ordered seasonal lemonades to start, which were simply ok. Two of us ordered the turkey club with sweet potato fries, the other two ordered the spring salad one with grilled salmon the other with smoked salmon. The sandwiches and sweet potatoes were good but not extraordinary. Evidently the salads were good too because the girls finished them both. The server was polite but there was nothing really great about the service she gave. I think she may have been new because she had to read to us what the seasonal lemonades were because she couldn't remember. We didn't see our server again until after our food was delivered and she asked us if everything tasted good as soon as our plates were put in front of us. We hadn't had a chance to pick up a fork. We didn't see her again until we were almost done. My friend had a gnat in her lemonade but didn't get another until we were done eating because the server didn't make herself available. We had originally asked for separate checks but in the end she said she couldn't remember who got what so she just had us number the items on the check to go together. I kinda think a person has to be pretty scattered if they're unable to split the check up on their own but that really wasn't a big deal. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. The staff is very welcoming and even got the birthday boy a celebratory glass of champagne. The ambiance is lovely with views of the beach. After ordering mimosas, we started with sweet potato fries. For our main dishes, we got lemon ricotta pancakes, creme brulee french toast, smoked salmon benedict, and a side of bacon. Mimosas- We ordered a variety and they were all sweet and refreshing. The strawberry one was my favorite. I appreciate the freshness of the juice they used. They do not skimp on the bubbly either. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes- The pancakes were fluffy and soft with a nice crisp edge. The lemon curd adds a lovely brightness and it's enhanced with maple syrup and a generous heaping of fresh fruit. Creme Brulee French Toast- The toast was custardy and rich. The bruleed top was the icing on the cake! Also served with syrup and the fruits cuts through the sweetness and adds a burst of citrus and freshness. Smoked Salmon Benedict- This was a nice savory meal. The salmon was smoky and blended with the gooey egg perfectly. The english muffin provided a good base for the other elements. Sweet Potato Fries- I could eat this forever! After a 35 min wait our party was seated with the perfect view of the beach. Our server came by after a few minutes to take our drink order. We order a mix of sweet and savory dishes. The spicy chicken sandwich, not spicy. The cookie butter French toast was great. Our server seemed to have many tables and was overwhelmed, he checked up on as twice and we had to flag him down for more coffee and the check. I'm so happy I finally tried Claire's! I went with a group of friends and it was a great time! Of course the view is fantastic. And it's lovely that every table had an umbrella. Each of us tried something different and everyone really liked their plates. I tried the crème brûlée French toast and unfortunately it was a little too sweet for me, but I'm normally a savory brunch person anyways, it's just the crème brûlée aspect was so appealing. I should have gotten the Croque de Madame. That looked fantastic! My other friend tried the chilaquiles and her boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and our other friend tried the burger. All really solid choices. We did also get the mimosa special which made it a great time. Our server was very friendly, and checked on us relatively frequently. I was really looking forward to brunch at Claire's at the Museum, but unfortunately the experience was pretty disappointing. The view is beautiful, but that's honestly the highlight of the visit. We were greeted with half-filled glasses of water that tasted strongly like tap water. When we asked for bottled still water, we were told they only had sparkling available. Not a huge issue, but it set the tone for the rest of the meal. For drinks, we ordered a tequila and coffee. The coffee arrived lukewarm at best, and the "tequila" cocktail turned out not to contain real tequila since the restaurant doesn't have a liquor license. That would have been nice to know ahead of time when ordering. When our entrees arrived (steak and eggs), there was no steak knife provided. We were also never checked on during the meal. We had to flag someone down just to get a water refill, and the new glass had visible debris floating in it. I also asked for a replacement coffee since the first one wasn't hot. After waiting over 10 minutes with no coffee coming out, we eventually canceled it, asked for the check, and left. Even though our server seemed aware that the experience hadn't been great by the end, there was no attempt to remedy anything or provide the level of service you'd expect from a restaurant in this location. It's a beautiful setting, but unfortunately the service and overall attention to detail were really lacking. read more

They are open for Breakfast/Brunch only on Saturday and Sunday, which is when we went. Based on the reviews, we had some pretty high expectations and sadly... we were very disappointed. I ordered a signature margarita and the country breakfast, my partner ordered an ice tea and citrus pancakes. Definitely on my list of worst margaritas. Tasted like water, with lime. I didn't wind up drinking it. Then the food... it was all pretty poor and some was inedible. The country breakfast, the potatoes were undercooked and nearly raw. The sausage was good though. My partners pancakes tasted like flour and were very gritty. Unfortunately he could barely get through half of them - I could barely get down one bite. Then the bill came - yikes! Definitely on the pricey side and considering that, I would have expected so much better, but was left insanely disappointed and felt like it was a waste of money. If you're looking to check this place out, you can expect the views to be great at the very least. read more

I highly recommend the Creme' Brule' French Toast, which my wife loved, and Ican vouch for the Breakfast Burrito, which is both tasty and filling, it is stuffed with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and cheese. This place use to be so good, too bad it has gone down the tube. My wife took me here for my birthday celebration and we ordered a round of bloody Mary's. However, the bartender did not put any vodka in our bloody Mary's. I told the waitress after our second round was so much better actually a bloody Mary with vodka she just laughed and smiled and did nothing about it. We had to ask for ketchup, four times for our meals. Our final bill ended up being $500 with a $78 gratuity fee. The food is not the same. The ciabatta bread on my salmon sandwich was literally from Costco. It used to be much better. I do not recommend this place. The service is horrible as our waitress said please excuse our kitchen because they're overwhelmed due to the large crowd it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food and our drink drinks were horrible. Meanwhile $500 later they did provide us with a complementary birthday cake and one glass of champagne, I will not be going back to this place ever again. read more

This is another local "IYKYK" places. It's a great place to go have a bite to eat with a beautiful view of the Long Beach shoreline. I usually take people here from out of town and they love it. It can be difficult to eat here if you don't have reservations. We were a party of 3 with no reservations but shockingly we only had to wait about 25mins for a table. Parking can also be hard. There is a small lot but I have never been able to find parking there so I had to park in the neighborhood and walk (which wasn't terrible). Food: the food is always never bad. It's not mind blowing but it's good. I had the Chilaquiles. They were decent. Service was good. Overall it's a place that you is on my rotation when I want to eat at the beach. read more

Finally had the opportunity to come visit Claire's at the museum as I work weekends and they are opened limited hours ! Surprisingly parking was a breeze , someone was leaving right as I hit the little dead end right next to the museum. We walked up host let us know that there will be a 10min wait and we walked around, unfortunately actual museum was closed. Got seated next to the fountain and wow just a great view of the fountain with the ocean in the background . Waiter came around got our drink and starters order while we went through menu, waiter was super nice ! For starters got avocado toast and fries . Avocado toast was paired perfectly with the flavors , and fries were perfectly seasoned and fried and the sauces were great. After I ordered the chilaquiles & the reviews do not lie , these have been some of the best chilaquiles I've had , even the microwaved left overs the next day tasted good !
