Ben give me the best customer service I ever experienced. He greeted me by my name, I loved that. I came to the light house alone on my birthday and he really made my day special by surprising me with a birthday cake and a pink candle. He did that for me, no one has ever done that for me before. Every moment there I felt at peace with myself watching the view of the ocean. The lady at the front desk should do better tho. She moves a fast and she I was trying to say thank you she just pointed to Ben like go with him. But Ben energy changed all of that. You need more people like Ben to Welcome people in. There is a narrative around Mother's Day and well other major holidays associated with going out like Valentine's Day and maybe Easter for Brunch that paints them as pit of wait and rush. My mom clung to that theory as reason why not to go out. But I believe that opportunities arise for grand dining even on days froth with guests. And Parker's Lighthouse, in many ways, in many genuine ways, offered the opportunity for us to experience a lounge-esque expeirence when we arrived without prior reservation and kind of just showed up. After having our first morning experience, my mom and I went to Parker's Lighthouse because continued rest for us was the move. We walkedt the Pier's/Village's end to find the restaurant. It was packed, clearly. There was a lot of movement, a lot of rush, and a lot of stalling as people let people pass. I explained that we did not have a reservation and we would love to sit by the water. The first host explained that there was no area for that except the stools that were exposed to the heat. She did not say that, but that is what they were . I said ok. We were going to figure it out. If we had grit, and hope, we could enjoy a mother's day happy hour. And then the most wonderful thing happened, the server who walked us, saw a booth opened that was right by the water and under the shade and asked if we would like the booth? And I said yes. I am not sure if she opened that option to us when she saw it, or she got the green light before, but that small choice of hers allowed my mother and I to be comfortable because we were sitting in a coveted spot. Every other person that came sat in these high chairs and they were under the sun. People asked for one of these booths that me and my mom had, and they were denied because there was nothing open. So yes, I am thankful and glad that everything went just right for us to just walk in and get one of the best seats in the house. It was not a Christmas day miracle, but a Mother's Day Gift. Izzy was our server and she was a gem. My mother's go to move is to get fried calamari and the joint had it in their Mother's Day Specific Bar Menu or Lounge Menu because a separate brunch was happening inside. The calamari was fried not to a standard golden crisp, it was a standard above golden fried calamari. It is more than just good, it was delectable. In fact, she ordered a second helping to take to someone she knows. That in itself is an undeniable marker of success. I got this sushi role- Salmon Ponzu role and it was just a great set of bites. The onion waas fresh, and clean, not fried or anything. You got the purpose of the onion immediately, and I am glad because the onion gets a lot respect but I know a lot of people leave onion behind on their burgers. The whole dish had this umami taste that made me feel like I was eating something fresh in flavor. The sea across from me would approve of the bite. I also ordred a rasberry lemon drop. Izzy kept me in the loop as to why it was delayed. She was busy, yet still made the effort to not make me feel like we were on after thought. A prudent strategy against let us not make this customer feel like he is a hog to feed on this busy day. And the drink when it came was fruitty and ptoent and like I only need one, it did its work well fast. Of course the view was perfect. A spring day that mirrored summer heat. We had the shade, we got to lounge, we got to eat great food, and we were comfortable in a way that made us want to stay. I have dined at Parkers Lighthouse for many years in the past already, where my first visit was back in 2005. In my past several visits, Parker's Lighthouse has never disappoint me. However, Mother's Day 2026 this year, I am shocked about the recent performance Parker's Lighthouse has done. Mother's Day 2026 was my 10th visit to Parker's Lighthouse & I am very disappointed at the overall service & food quality this restaurant does that I must update my review do severely drop your score down to a 1/5. Here are my reasons for a severe score drop from a perfect 5/5 to now a 1/5: 1) Days before Mother's Day 2026, I already called & set reservation for 12:30 PM. But by the time I came, slightly early at 12:15 PM, they told me to wait until 12:30 PM. By the time 12:30 PM arrives, they still tell me to wait. We did not get a table until 12:55 PM. That is disorganized in terms of the reservations. When we book for 12:30 PM, that means by the time we arrive around 12:30 (+\- 5 minutes, that means table SHOULD be available for us by 12:30 on the dot!) 2) They offer the brunch buffet. However, the brunch buffet is too expensive & not much variety. Your rival: Queen Mary across the other side of the harbor offers a WAY BETTER Brunch Buffet than yours. Queen Mary's Brunch Buffet have Crab Legs of King Crab & Snow Crab; their Buffet, no offense, crushed your Buffet service. 3) We requested a la carte in the last minute, which you changed our table to an outdoor lounge. We requested an umbrella for shade provide, but no service for that. So we are BAKED in the sun, which ruined our lunch. 4) A la carte service is SLOW & DISORGANIZED. Arrived at 12:30 PM. Meals come out around 2:00 PM. 5) Seafood linguine, too salty, too creamy. Chilean Sea Bass, the Bok Choi Vegetables is not thoroughly cleaned out. My husband reported grains of dirt & sand still present in some of the Bok Choi vegetables; Chilean Sea Bass is too sweet in marinade. 6) Parking huge issue too. Difficult to find parking nowadays at the Shoreline Village. Overall, terrible & Mother's Day 2026 ruined. I am very disappointed with you Parkers' Lighthouse. Reserved for a pre-Mother's day celebration the night before. Service was great-- friendly front staff and attentive server. Our server was able to recommend us the best type of shucked oysters to pick that were "beginner-friendly." We went with the East coast derived oysters, and they were actually really good with no fishy aftertaste. Appetizers and entrees didn't take too long to come out-- around 15-20 minutes for all to arrive at the same time. I actually like their bread they offer as a courtesy because it had a hard, thick outer shell but was soft in the inside. Their butter is also heavenly, loved that it was sweet! Entrees were decent-- I got the scallops and they were soft and quite delectable. Prices range anywhere from around $30-$75 for their entrees, which I understand comes from the freshness of the seafood and that it is a fine dining restaurant. Ambiance definitely sets a low-lit vibe that would be best for date nights. Kind of hard to see the menu if you don't place the little table lamp in the middle of the table. While on a staycation in Long Beach, my wife and I found ourselves strolling all over The Pike area. We stumbled upon the Parker's Lighthouse and decided to pop in for a quick snack. We orderd a couple cocktails and some appetizers. I had an Old Fashion my wife went with a Pomegranate Basil Smash. For the appetizer we went with the Karage Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Crispy Calamari, and The Queens Roll. The service little slow, but thankfully we weren't in a hurry. Although we sat in the bar area, it seems to be a kool place for a date. There are bunch of window seats with ocean views that could set the vibe. The Lettuce wraps were our least favorite due to the lack of flavor. You most definitely will need to use the sauce it comes with. The sushi and the calamari were wonderful. We had a great time...the view deserves all the stars. The service was great and our server was very kind to the kiddos and indulged them the whole time. The kids menu was a hit with our little ones, who enjoyed popcorn shrimp and a kids size fish and chips. We also shared a mixed grilled plate that was serviced with skewers and the fish of the day. We made a reservation for an early Mother's Day lunch at Parker's Lighthouse. We haven't had a chance to eat here in years! I'm so glad we finally made it back because it was a wonderful experience. We were seated at a beautiful table with a full view of the ocean. The restaurant was immaculately clean with beautiful decor. I love how it is modern nautical style. For appetizers we ordered calamari, Brussel sprouts and the warm crab dip. All the appetizers were delicious! My favorite was the Brussel sprouts. I have never had Brussel sprouts cooked with chili honey and served with hummus. It was so ono! For entrees, we all ordered the seafood Cobb. Although it is served with a Louie dressing i asked for Bleu cheese instead. The salad was so fresh and delicious! A perfect lunch entree! Doubly so it was great to see the addition of covers and new furniture on the large spacious back patio since our last visit. Went there on a Friday afternoon, no reservations, but definitely recommend making one. Surprised to see they are closed until 3pm on a Friday, but allowed us and several groups to wait, and we were seated at 245pm. We had family lunch here in a Sunday and the wait wasn't too long. Once we were seated, our server Allen came by to order drinks and tell us about the specials. Very disappointed with our Valentine's Day dinner here. It was a prefixed menu. We started with the oysters and Caesar salad. It was $20 for 4 oysters, when the oysters came, they were very small and it looked like the meat was missing. I had to turn on my flashlight to see a tiny film in the bottom of the shell and I guess that was what they called an oyster. Basically nothing there. Even if they were good quality, large oysters, $20 is a lot for four oysters. Then my wife's salad came. $20 for a small Caesar salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce, and a couple croutons. Please see the pic. A side solid at Denny's was better than this... The entrées came and they were decent . One was steak and one tuna . The steak was small and came with about five stocks of asparagus and some mashed potatoes. The tuna came with white rice. $64 each! Expected much better for this price. It was not mastros! The last was the dessert. My wife got the chocolate brownie that was $15. They said they were out of it. I ordered the lemon tart, they brought cheesecake instead and I told them that I had the lemon tart and they could just put it to go at that point. They came back at the end and gave me the dessert to go in a box inside a paper bag. When I got home, I opened it to eat it and it looked like it was smashed. The box was still perfect, and it never got spilled in my car. It wasn't just upside down. It was broken and clearly smashed. That was $15 also. The reason I put two stars instead of one is because the waitress was very nice and professional. They were very busy that night understandably. I opted for the Seared Hokkaido Sea Scallops over Chive Cream-Poached Potato, Spinach, Bacon Lemon Vinaigrette, Radish Sprouts and my colleague went for the Day Boat Catch of the day with Garlic Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables. We were seated promptly and our server was excellent he was prompt taking drink and omelette orders explaining the layout of the buffet. Our server, Daniel S failed to check on us even once and we watched him stop by every other table besides us as we tried to get his attention many times. After our food arrived, he stood in the corner and did not check back to see if we had everything and we had to flag him down to let him know we were missing an item. He did comp our missing roll but it still did not make up for the lack of service in a full service restaurant. Our water cups were empty multiple times throughout the night and it was just very obvious that he was giving his other tables much more thought and careful service. In fact, he didn't even take our order after telling us he'd be with us in a moment. Additionally, we also had called beforehand to confirm if the restaurant had candles because if not, we were planning to bring some but the restaurant confirmed that they would provide candles. He brought out the cake with no candles, plopped it on our table and went away without a word. Nonetheless, we still tipped 20% on a $390 check. We came for the Thanksgiving Buffet this year, $94pp. We sat on the second floor which gave us a great view of the spread. Everything was so delicious and there was something for everyone. Carving station included turkey, prime rib, porchetta (with cracklins) and salmon. A giant seafood spread with jumbo shrimp, oysters and scallops. Sides included crab cakes, stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese..... Plus there were some salads, charcuterie, fruit and then the desserts! First time and celebrated lunch for our dads' birthdays. They keep the restaurant clean and there are great views of the shoreline harbor for most tables. There's also a bar area that has happy hour M-F 3-6 pm, can't wait to try this. Anabel was our server and she was great, very welcoming and accommodating. As for thee food, had a good experience trying the different entrees. The clam chowder was awesome but could have been a bit more hot but that's just my preference. My Cesar salad was nice, but too much Parmesan for my liking. The dressing definitely tasted hand made and worked well with some lemon. The grilled salmon was also great. Crab dip was one of my faves and loved that they served it with vegetables as well. Cod in the fish and chips was light and flakey and well fried with the light tempura batter. The lobster club was tasty especially with the garlic bread slices. In general food here is not salty and I like that, as you can add your own. Came back here for the annual work holiday party. In the first-floor bar, we enjoyed the Lavender Paradise, Blood Orange Bomb, and Cucumber Crush mocktails with a crab dip! In the party we liked all the food and drink items. Very tender beef and fresh salmon, with lightly grilled asparagus. Nice choice of bite-size desserts. In the Queensview Steakhouse upstairs there are great views. They set up tables for 120; tables were a bit close but not very close. Some congestion. People coming upstairs into the room get in the way of those checking into the party and of the buffet line. People sitting at the bar or waiting for a drink being made, block those ordering, who block bartenders going in and out of the bar, and waiters. The music was too loud to socialize with colleagues, especially on top of the already present low-level chatter. Even our adult daughter found it too loud. We had the same issues last year. In a large party, someone usually addresses the group, so you need a good mic and clear audio. But most speech was incomprehensible. Not clear what the party organizer was saying. First time here, and we were a party of two seated right away. Our server was a very nice guy--he seemed new, but he did a great job and took good care of us. The food was good, everything came out on time, and the drinks were really good as well. The only slight downside, which had nothing to do with the restaurant, was a big event happening next door that made it a bit loud. Overall, the view was nice, and it was a lovely experience.
