After that since it was a holiday weekend we opted for some dessert too. Talk about sizable slices of Tuxedo and Peanut Butter ice cream pies, that literally you can share just one super easily. The Mr opted for the Tuxedo slice since he loves chocolate. I went for the Peanut Butter, which had the bonus of a Rice Krispies crust. Why have I never thought to do that while baking...definitely something to try. Both come out looking bigger than life and not melting in any way which was great. There was very little traffic and I made it to the restaurant easily. Once there I was greeted by a friendly young girl at the door. The place was pretty packed but I was able to get a table by the water with a view of the bay and marina. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The food arrived hot and nicely arranged. The main entree I selected was the "Long Island Monkfish" for 34$. The price was more than expected for the quantity of food and they should have included some bread - very much needed with the spicy vinaigrette. The monkfish was absolutely delicious! The leeks and gnocchi went perfectly with the fish. I read online that the Branzino is really good here. I really wanted to try the Branzino but they ran out of it. Before I left, I went to the restroom. They have two stalls so there was a bit of wait. The main area is open with sinks, soap and a Dyson dryer - no paper towels. The stalls are clean with ample space. While waiting, I chatted with the other people who had been to the Rose wine soirée earlier. They said it was great - unlimited rose wine plus appetizers at the beginning, including lobster rolls. Tickets were 60$ all inclusive. They had a DJ and small outdoor dance floor and it was almost all women. That's not a surprise - rose wine events tend to attract more women than men. I'm not sure why, maybe because rose wine is pink or the invite appeals more to a female audience.

There's common areas for BBQing and then you bring your food back to your room/cabin, or you can cook in the kitchen but who wants to do that at the beach LOL. There is also free snacks and beverages in the lobby for guests pretty much 24 hrs. Free simple bf foods like muffins, etc in the mornings too. They have day beds and hammocks on the backyard lawn but the entire point of staying here is that when you go up and over the stairs you're on the beach. They have beach chairs or you can bring your own. We brought a wagon and my husband was able to walk around the side to bring everything over instead of lugging your stuff up and over. Kid friendly, dog friendly quiet area of the beach. We got one rainy day and drove into river head for the aquarium and stopped in Mattituck on the way back to the resort for Magic Fountain HomemadeIce Cream.
