Pricing from their site for quart.
    Geno B.

This was our 5th visit. We always buy a quart of chunky lobster bisque, along with a lobster roll and then we each enjoy an ice cream cone. The locations web site says 29.99 for a quart of chunky lobster bisque. When I ordered the bisque cashier said 42.xx. Excuse me I said it's advertised at 29.99. She replied that it take 2 bowls and a cup to fill the quart. I said I'm sure it does that why we ordered the 29.99 quart. Girl gets her boss to "speak to me". She states she does not care what site says, a quart is 42.xx with tax. So instead I order 2 bowls for my wife and me. Then the snarky bitch says, I thought you wanted a quart. I should have flipped her off and walked away, but knowing I'll never go back, I replied, if we are not getting advertised price, you can give us two bowls, spoons etc. We were willing to share a quart, but without the discount just 2 bowls please. Never again will I have to argue over your advertised pricing.

Love the lobster rolls! Fresh and delicious! Ordering is easy...unless a long line has already formed at the window when you get there during the summer season!

Yummy icecream: the creme brulee Sunday is so yummy try it, their strawberry comes with real frozen berries inside and banana is so creamy

The food here was delicious. We ordered the jumbo crab roll and the cranberry chicken wrap. The wrap was DELICIOUS! The crab was pretty good. I'm not a fan of the side of chips. Should be something more substantial for the price of the meal.

If you want a HUGE serving of ice cream of every delicious flavor imaginable & every topping imaginable, then come here. If you want to cool off or fill up after a glorious, sunny day at North Hampton Beach right across the street, then come here. If you want terrific seafood, then come here. Okay, you got the hint? Come here!

Very good lobster roll right on the beach! Gets busy in the summer season for sure, but the line moves pretty quick. The lobster rolls are a little on the pricey side. Warning: there are lots of little gnats and mosquitos which can be a bother! Recommend taking it to go if you're bothered by that.

I'd never been and I know why. It was meh. Staff was abrupt and lifeless. I work with the public too and I certainly don't get to look at the ocean all day. Nice and clean outdoor seating area. Sandwiches were wet and messy. Just sloppy. I know it's a walk up but just a few tweaks could make all the difference.

The Beach Plum has been our ice cream stop for years. Last night we stopped by for our fix, and the Plum didn't disappoint! The service was great. And while the place was super busy we had our order in a very short time. Prices have come up a bit but the portions are still very generous. With my "small" I got two different flavors and two generous scoops. My wife's kiddie would be a small elsewhere. Lobster rolls are still a bit more expensive for me but it's looking like the price might actually have come down a bit. Maybe next time but we'll be back for sure for more ice cream'

Large Chicken Caesar Salad w/lots of chicken! The chicken had good flavor but could have been more tender. The croutons were not crispy crunchy as I hoped. Very large but not quite the greatest Caesar Salad.

Wow. We stopped here when attending a wedding nearby and had a fantastic time. The lobster is a bit pricy (but when isn't lobster pricy?), but it's wonderfully fresh and light. We got the max amount of lobster on a roll for about 36 dollars and the mix was light on the mayo but big on lobster flavor. I did wish that for that amount of lobster they'd used a slightly bigger bun to get more of the balance, but I can understand the appeal of the piled on lobster roll! I also tasted the chowder and it was good, but a little thin. Made up for it with giant hunks of lobster and, again, I can understand the appeal for someone who wants to really feel like they're getting their money's worth in lobster. Also has a great little set of picnic tables that provide a beautiful view and tons of flavors of ice cream (my one regret was not getting a cone!)

Anyone know if Beach Plum North Hampton NH restaurant is closed for rest of 2025? No sign on building, no message on phone, and other locations know nothing about North Hampton schedule. Asking because in past they have stayed open into November.

I suspect it is closed. Beach weather is gone...

I'm partial to soup, and preferred the Fluffy Chowder, as it was less sweet than the bisque, bringing together the best of both worlds. The grilled cheese was very good, chunks of lobster with the right amount of cheese to hold it all together on bread that was perfectly toasted to support what was about to go down. It came with a smaller portion of soup for dipping. Would definitely go back!

Very, very surprised…read more I'm pretty particular when it comes to lobster because it's so easy to overcook, so I'm usually skeptical about ordering a lobster roll. My boyfriend and I shared the Connecticut-style lobster roll. While it wasn't overflowing with lobster especially for $29.99 it was cooked perfectly. That's not something I say often, so that's a huge compliment. I've had lobster rolls in Maine for about the same price that were much more generously filled, but the quality of the lobster here was excellent. My biggest critique would be the bun. I think this would be even better on a non-toasted bun or with a different style of roll altogether. The bun took away from what was otherwise a fantastic lobster roll. I also ordered the clam chowder. The flavor was really good, and it tasted homemade and fresh. My only complaint is that I hardly found any clams or if they were there, they were very small and blended into the soup. It also had a slight cheesy flavor that I wasn't expecting. I'd just recommend adding more clams because the base itself was delicious. The French fries were decent, and you could tell they were cooked in clean oil, which I always appreciate. The coleslaw, however, was watery and just wasn't for me. As for the atmosphere, it has a fun, old-school seafood shack vibe. You order outside, grab your food, then bring it inside to eat, and the staff clears your table afterward, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that the air conditioning appeared to be leaking in the middle of the dining room. Water dripped onto my boyfriend and even onto one of the waitresses. I'm sure it was just a maintenance issue, but it wasn't the most pleasant dining experience and did make me question how sanitary it was. Overall, I left pleasantly surprised. Despite a few areas that could be improved, the perfectly cooked Connecticut-style lobster roll is absolutely something I'd order again, and that's saying a lot coming from someone who's very picky about lobster.

I highly recommend getting the jumbo, as the normal roll comes on a round roll which is much smaller. The cold roll has the crunchiest, juiciest, freshest lobster mixed with a bit of mayo and thinly sliced shallots. The lobster to bread ratio is HIGH and you can really taste the fresh lobster. The bottom of the roll is also coated with shredded lettuce. The lettuce is an awesome touch, as it keeps the roll from getting soggy and also adds an additional fresh crunch. The location of Petey's is awesome as well. It's located right on a little stream that leads to the beach. My favorite thing to do is bring a cold Petey's roll to the beach on a hot summer day. The service is also excellent, making this my #1 lobster roll spot when I'm visiting the Northeast.

We only come here once a year for our fried Seafood fix and this time we got here right after they opened at 11:30a, otherwise, you may not get a parking spot! Parking is very limited, and if you can, go during the week when it's less crowded! We started out with a Blue Moon and Sam Summer on Draft! Reasonably priced at $6.50 ea. My Partner was graving some Onion Rings and I a cup of Clam Chowder! Our Waitress brought the Rings and Chowder first! When it comes to the Onion Rings there were a few good ones that were on top and hanging of the edge, see pic, but the rest of them were just to thin and a greasy stringy fried mess, way to thin to pick up, enjoy, and dip in Ketchup! Certainly not worth the $10 price! I saved a picture, that I found online, of what a properly fried order of Onion Rings should look like, see below, compared to the Petey's Onion Rings! Now, my first impression of the Clam Chowder! I've never ordered the Clam Chowder at Petey's but it ended up being disappointment number two! After the first plastic spoon full it was more like Clam Soup, thin and not a thick a creamy chowder with succulent pieces of Clams as expected, instead there were just a few shredded tiny pieces of clams and mostly potatoes! Yuk! One of the worst Clam Chowder's I've ever had and I've had a lot of Clam Chowder's in my 60 years of living in New England! The person who makes this Chowder definitely needs a lesson in making a good Clam Chowder! How can they even serve this? They have 2 sizes a small for $8.60 and a medium for $9, only a .40 cent difference, which I found odd! Ok, it wasn't all bad! My Partner enjoyed her Fish (Haddock) and Chips and I my usual Combo of Scallops and Haddock! Most of everything that we've ordered, in the past, at Petey's, has always been good but if you go, do yourself a favor and skip the the disappointing Onion Rings and Clam Chowder and you'll save $19 bucks off your Tab! It'll probably be our last visit to Petey's ! Not the same as in past years! Time to find another favorite Seafood Spot! Would've given Petey's 4 Stars had it not been for the disappointing Onion Rings and Clam Chowder!...

The Parker House rolls were savory warm perfection and a great way to start the meal. My entree, the gnocchi with duck confit was one of the best things I've ever tasted (though very rich--I had to bring half home). And I tasted my dining companion's duck breast an it was also delicious (which they concurred in thinking). The dessert special was a sticky toffee pudding with bananas foster ice cream and peanut butter magic shell and I wish I could eat it every day. The only downsides were that (1) I didn't love the dessert cocktail (which was also absent a garnish), but it could also very well be personal preference and it was only $7, (2) it was freaking freezing in the restaurant. We were seated in a corner that didn't seem to have any baseboard heaters, and even though we weren't far from the fireplace, there was so little insulation on the windows we were all egregiously uncomfortable. The service was great, with the waitress very helpfully answering all our questions and brining each course with perfect timing. The food itself is on the expensive side, though I thought the drinks were normal for a nice restaurant (my other drink, which I enjoyed, was $13).
