We booked reservations in March of this year and unfortunately due to my lack of knowledge of this Hotel, I could've done better. First and foremost I was told myself and other Family members were allotted a block of rooms. We had intentions of staying close to one another but that was a lie. The rooms are outdated and the carpets were old and smelled. Our particular room had an odor as if there was a Marijuana convention prior to our arrival. The bathroom was dirty and clearly was cleaned in a hurried fashion. Beds were old and sunken in and for some reason the hotel loves to over use extention cords. As far as room location they don't tell you that the beach bar plays music until almost three in the morning. Our room was 508 and aside from the music you have to deal with the staff to whom take no consideration for the guests. This hotel caters to binge drinkers. There is no Security to monitor drunk patrons and I never once observed any of the bar keep check ID's. One thing to consider while hanging out at the pool you can have food and drink delivered to you. Due to fact the Kitchen is located away from the pool the staff utilizes three wheeled bicycles to transport menu items back and forth between the Beach bar and the Kitchen. While lounging at the pool I observed the Maintenance Staff working on a broken Urinal in men's room next to the pool. It seems that one of the Urinals broke and needed replaced. Well, I noticed one of the Maintenance Staff members grabed one of these three wheeled bicycles that transports food to guests and proceeded to place this Urinal in the Basket. Aside from myself observing this a majority of my family did as well. I am very disappointed in my stay and furthermore I will not recommend this place to anyone. As I mentioned before they cater to the binge drinking crowd and our more concerned with alcohol sales. Their customer service is horrible, save your money and go elsewhere this place is not worth it. There are plenty of nice places along ST. Pete Beach to stay, don't take the chance. If I could give this Hotel a negative star I most certainly would. read more

Horrible experience. Staff uncaring to assist. Caught maintenance man Bob in outside ladies room When I confronted him he said he yelled out. Well, I heard mumbling. Music Loud. I asked him to leave ladies room while I washed my hands. He gave me the middle finger. I went right to front desk. Unhelpful. Said call police. Gee thanks. About 30 mins later we called house keeping because blood on sheets from previous occupancy. Who shows up? Bob! He sees me, makes a face and runs. I spoke to numerous employees who after hearing events, all stated Bob is a problem. They all know it and offer no assistance. Bad place. Ladies, you are not safe there. Management does nothing! This location is very nice. Staff was pleasant. Pool was nice. The facility is in need of updating and a good cleaning. Rooms did not have queen beds as advertised, they were doubles. Cheap towels, bedding, etc. very, very low water pressure. Closet door was broken and fell off when opened. Definitely bar atmosphere at night. Drunk bar patrons walking through hotel corridors made us feel unsafe. Important to note there is not an elevator. Would definitely not recommend if in search of quiet, relaxing weekend. read more

I decided to take a staycation on the beach with my boys. We were very impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff was. The room was very clean. Christine, the women that cleaned my room was so personable, and takes pride in her work and they also check for bed bugs which that in itself makes me wanna comeback. I will request to stay in Christines section. The food was good and the service was moderate. We came to eat during shift change. So to be expected. I loved that beach chairs were included with the stay, at least my package was. I don't like to pay additional. The only reason I didn't give 5 is because I felt like it needed a bit of a facelift which apparently they are going to be doing that. They only let you have one car per room which I didn't like. If someone comes to visit they can't even pay to park in the lot. They do have additional parking but even that was full. If space is limited then have valet. Why should an additional guest have to pay for parking or be inconvenienced. I had great stay will be going back. read more

We came for a long beach weekend to enjoy the sun, beach drinks and relax. We did all of that. Our room was renovated and clean. The beach atmsphere was great. Tiki bars were great fun and the none stop live music was a great game changer. Not great for families as it caters to a more beach party crowd. We weren't expecting high-end luxury but a more chill beach scene. Headed back in February when the VA winter is brutal. read more

The general staff was very friendly. and helpful .Rooms appear to have been remodeled, which is very nice. However, I had a shocking incident at the attached Jimmy B's ,bar at night. A man picked me up and twirled me around, then dropped me. I realized he was drunk, but he continued to bother me. He attempted to physically pick me up several more times.He kept hitting on me, and tried to give me his car keys, to take him home. I had to shove him away multiple times. At no time did any security appear to help me. Then he groped me. He grabbed my breasts and crotch. I slapped him across his face. Suddenly, security appeared. They kicked both of us out ! All I did was protect myself. I went back to my room, and promptly checked out early the next morning. I'm assuming he got into his car and drove drunk. I've stayed here numerous times, and this was the last. A complaint was made to the front desk. Pointless. I'm not a tourist, either. I live in this town. How dare you treat me that way, when I was being man handled. read more

Nice place but the beach Club goes on all night. There is music all day and night until 3 a.m and I feel like I am trying to sleep inside a subwoofer. It's a nice option to have the bar and club but the vibration and constant noise can get frustrating. Hotel is ok. Had horrible service at the restaurant/bar. Manager told us he can't do anything and to call general manager in the morning. Also, my son fall and hurt himself and no one came up to him to make sure he was ok. Except the waiter said ur ok? He was bleeding and no assistance was provided. When I go down to Florida, I go to stay with some family, but I always set aside time for the Beachcomber. It all starts when I walk in the front doors and am greeted by a staff of smiling people. every one is extremely happy, and helpful. then I get to my room and enjoy the beach front view. There is a Jimmy B's bar and grill right outside. The food is great and there is complete access to the beach. Every night there is live music and cheerful people. This is the perfect place to hang out all night. On top of all of this, the rooms are practically soundproof, so the band can play all night long and you can sleep soundly. The icing on the cake? The bar in the lobby has great food and drinks, and free games all night. Weather your there for the beach, the music, or the food, the Beachcomber is the place to be. read more

I highly advise you not to stay here. The worst customer service I have ever experienced- why deal with that when there are SO many other great options in St. Pete. We had an event to attend at 5:30 and were told that check-in guarantee was 4pm and they would call us. We called at 4pm, and were told "sorry, your room isn't ready and we don't know when it will be". Manager Robin and Eva were extremely RUDE (very sarcastic/ fake/ horrendous with customers). We had to beg and plead to get a room. Oh, and don't even think about getting an late check-out!! They have about 6 women standing at the front desk doing nothing, yet apparently there's one maid and it takes SIX HOURS to turnover rooms (11a-5p). Oh and then there's the room... dirty, outdated, and our throats hurt in the AM. Maybe instead of fighting with customers, they should put more effort into their disgusting hotel. Need I say more? We have stayed here two years in a row. The first year we had a great experience so decided to come back. We were glad that Irma didn't affect our stay and everything was the same as the year before. We enjoyed a first level room this time, so we didn't have to constantly do the stairs. We were close to the small pool for kiddo and we could hear the music from the beach bar but not so loud that it kept us awake. The 7-Eleven across the street was very handy to stock the fridge in our room so we could save on dining out. The access to the beach is the best part for us, as we come to St. Pete's solely for the beach vacation. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious enough for the three of us. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shopping within walking distance and wonderful restaurants as well. We did not have a resort fee in 2016, so were disappointed that we were socked with $109 in resort fees when we checked out after having a wonderful 5 day, 4 night stay. I check-in on Friday July 1, 2016. Parking attendant (Johnny) was great and very nice. I walked into the lobby looks nice and the personal at the desk were very nice. To my surprise my room was ready at 1:00pm, when check-out was 11:00am. I didn't have to wait until 4:00pm for check-in time. I found that over all the staff is very nice and helpful. But when I walked into to my room I was so disappointed, this was the worst place I ever seen. And I do a lot of traveling. The room was so hot and the little A/C unit was trying to keep up with little hot room. I found the room to me dirty smelled like mold. They moved me to a bigger room with a kitchenette on the second. That was a little better the A/C unit was newer but the same size. Thanks for the staff to get my a fan , which help circulate the little cold air around. McKenzie how is service around pool was the best. She stay on top of the game. But Tripp should work with McKenzie he could gets some pointers. (he needs to focus) The bands and drinks good. But food 4 out of 10. Now for the parking, there's only one free parking spot on the premises, and. and additional parking behind 7-Eleven which is $30 a day. If you want use your car to go get a bite to eat or etc..we asked the parking attendantIf will we be ok for a parking spot, he reassured us it would be okay. But coming to find out if the lot fills up you do not have a parking spot from all the party goes visiting Jimmy B or Toasted Monkey And you are still paying them for the parking spot daily ($30.00 a day) when we came back dinner The park attendants for the extra parking lot behind 7-11, are plain stupid . He would not open the gate or get off his chair to tell us they are full. We had to get out of our car to go speak them. WOW. Can you say BS. He let us in we found spot. See he had NO clue if there was a spot. Which there's one way in one way out . I think they need to go back school to learn to count . A friend recommend this hotel. I will never listen to him again.
