Last stop on our Sunday funday adventure in downtown Greensboro last weekend. This was my first time stoping into the bearded goat. A bit of a a dive bar, but in a good way. They've got a great beer lists, both bottles/cans and on draft. They also offer Sunday mimosa specials. I'm not sure if they have food other than bagged snacks, but I'm sure you can bring some if they don't offer any. Pricing was ok, and service friendly. They have a corner with arcade/bar games and a great outdoor patio space for relaxing on a nice day. I'd go back, and you should check it out too!

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after brunch and had a couple of drinks with some friends. It was not very busy at the time, but the bartender was attentive and had no delays in getting our drinks served. My beer was cold served in a fresh glass. There back area has some arcade games and the overall feel is casual . We sat on the benches in their outdoor area, which is open air and has multiple propane heaters through out covering several tables.

Love the music they play here !!! Casual, fun spot downtown Greensboro in my afternoon discovery ! Great patio but was too hot to sit outside , great communal table in the middle of the bar suited us just fine. Great beer and liquor selection. A lot of bourbon !! Great daily specials, Sunday was mimosa and bloody Mary's and vodka drinks. ! I got a lovely deep eddys grapefruit with soda and there was a mix of seltzer, beer, Bloody Mary and mimosas on the table. Great hang out . Very colorful and nice vibe.

Any new cocktail bar in Greensboro is a win in my book. The Bearded Goat is that and so much more! Great beer and liquor selection, bartenders are dope, and ambiance is the perfect balance of casual and eclectic. Convenient location downtown and lots of parking available. I recently got a citrus vodka cocktail and it was *chefs kiss. Don't miss this spot if you're downtown or better yet, take a quick trip downtown and enjoy a nice cocktail.

Great vibes! Readonably priced drinks and the bartenders are always friendly. The Goat hosts many fun events and is a central part of the downtown GSO scene.

This is a great little spot to check out. It can get very crowded inside. As soon as you walk in there is a basketball game and a mechanical punching bag type game to your right. This seemed to be a big draw, however I feel it could be somewhat unsafe. There was a huge crowd there taking turns and they could've easily hit someone. It also made it difficult to get to the bathrooms. They do not serve food at this establishment as it is just a bar. They do have a great patio area which is great because the inside is a bit small. They have a few patio games including a huge connect 4 game. Fun little place to stop in at, if you don't like crowds perhaps a weeknight would be best.

The Bearded Goat is always a stop on my bar crawl list, especially when hanging around Elm Street. The location is prime- close to Mellow Mushroom, Boxcar, Natty's, etc. Their selection is solid, the bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable, and the crowd is normally pretty cool. Easily the highlight of this bar is the outdoor patio, which is very spacious and casual, with outdoor game options and a pro-dog policy. They don't serve food but allow take-away, so we will usually pick up a pizza or two from Mellow Mushroom and bring it over. They have a few parking spaces right outside and there's street parking opportunities all around, though on a Friday/Saturday night it may be hard to find a spot.

Great vibe and feels like your hometown bar where you are always welcome. Good bartenders and selection of beverages . I like the diversity of the customers and everyone is respected. Grab your friends and spend some time in the goat for a relaxing , laid back fun time. It's a great place for a quick stop or have a group gathering . Plenty of places near by to pick up food and the goat is accommodating when you bring in food. We enjoy the selection of great bourbons .

Cute vibe, clean place, great location, HORRIBLE SERVICE! The bartender, Emily, had the worst attitude!! Very short, rude, and unhelpful as a bartender offering local drinks that out of town people wouldn't know.

The Bearded Goat was our old stomping ground so when we were in town, we had to go back and see if it was still just as we remembered. The bar is still very packed on the weekends, with people from all walks of life. It use to be very much a dive bar, but has slowly turned into a hipster spot. Not that it is necessarily bad, but it gets extremely busy. They have various beverages, none on draft though. All cans, cocktails, and they do have wine. On the weekends they also do mimosa days and a Bloody Mary bar. They have seating on the inside and a patio area, and have a few games sprinkled throughout. Overall, it is just a chill fun place to go for a night out and get some good, strong, priced beverages!

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

My wife and I were attending a show downtown, so decided to do dinner before. We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. The atmosphere is very laid back, but well decorated, and designed. They've got a great beer variety, offering a lot of different styles. And their food menu offers a selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and salads. I ended up getting a chicken Philly with sweet potato fries, it was good, and the bun was stuffed full, but far too hot and too messy to try and eat with your hands. I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. The fries were cooked perfectly, just a slight crispiness to the outside and a soft filling inside. Pricing is a little bit on the high end, but the food quality is good. It's a nice spot, right in the heart of downtown, and they've good food and beer to offer. When it's not raining, they've got a beautiful beer garden on the side of the building you can enjoy a sunny day at. I'd definitely recommend this as a spot to visit if you're wanting to check out something local, while downtown!

The dip is always so delicious - it's one of my favorite appetizers ever. The pita is really good too. I think they recently started adding cheese to it too which is good but not really necessary in my opinion. At first, they brought us pita that was really burnt but our waiter told us she requested a fresh batch without us even saying anything which I think is great service. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)
