The grit cakes were very delicious and I would have preferred to just order a plate of grit cakes lol The shrimp was okay, small portion... the crabcake was okay, nothing exciting. It wasn't seasoned well enough. They do not serve ranch dressing. The service is blah. Walking in there was no host, so I was confused on if I entered the correct door. After waiting a while, I noticed the host walking up to the front area near where I entered so I met him there. After a while the bartender did ask from behind the bar if I wanted to order a drink while waiting... Once seated at the reserved table, the waiters seemed to be very restricted on honoring customer requests due to owner or manager disapproval and they appear to be watched or up for some type of kitchen audit after servicing guests. Idk what happened in the past, but it was obvious something happened or obvious that the owners are tightly budgeted... Like asking for more bread with 4 guests at the table and bringing only 2 rolls after waiting an extra 15min to ask someone else for what the waiter didn't bring... they wouldn't do a split check for 4 people. Alot of our requests received a 'sorry no we can't, they won't allow or um last time it was no but I can ask' etc. Tight street parking is available. Not a fan... but not a horrible place. Just not worthy of 3 stars in my opinion. Overpriced... decor is basic. Small indoors The dessert options were not exciting. read more

We had a very enjoyable meal at The Beaumont. First, the service was outstanding. Delaney was efficient, had great suggestions and a very pleasant personality (ask her about her bike racing). The food was excellent. The fried green tomato appetizer was lick the plate delicious. The octopus was incredibly tender but the hummus served with it was overpowering the dish. It was the only semi-miss. The mains were excellent - the New York Strip and fillet tournados were perfectly cooked and flavorful. I enjoyed the twice baked potatoes and Brussels Sprouts were great. Overall an outstanding meal that was also a great value. You need to experience this restaurant. My only recommendation is to have a ribeye steak that is around 14 oz -- the bone in ribeye on the menu is just too big. read more

We are frequent flyers at The Beaumont and typically have great service and wonderful food. Tonight we took some out of town guests. The host couldn't find our reservation. The host huffed and puffed about seating us. It was 5 pm on a Saturday, there was a 2 top and a 4 top seated. My husband asked if there was a problem and he said that he was trying to find a place to seat us. We looked around and he said "I have 40 people coming in the next 15 minutes." He said he was trying to figure out if he could fit us in somewhere. Terrible customer service. He was condescending and abrupt. Over the next hour and a half, exactly 29 people came in. The food was delicious and the service top notch but the experience was negative due to the way the evening started. My husband mentioned the treatment to the bar tender that has served us many times. The host came over and asked if there was a problem. My husband mentioned that he said he was expecting 40 people in 15 minutes and he said they had a lot of cancellations. Condescending and rude. Sadly, we were told he was the new GM. The service here is absolutely phenomenal, and the brunch was good too. Came here with four toddlers and a baby after a mommy and me play date and we all decided to get something to eat. Came here on a whim but so glad we did! The brunch was delicious. They have an established brunch menu but were so nice and willing to accommodate picky kids. I was nervous at first because the kids initially were all chanting "chicken nuggets and French fries" but when their food came out, everyone- mommies and kids alike truly enjoyed the food. The staff was so nice...remember I said we were a large group with four toddlers and a baby and they were just cool and even if they were ready for us to leave, they absolutely didn't show it and were chatting with the kids. We popped in for a couple of cocktails after finding this cute place with rave reviews on Yelp before heading to the Babyface & Kem concert at the Chesapeake Employers Arena. The Beaumont was too close for us not go at less than 2 miles away. When entering the restaurant you immediately notice how small and intimate the entire place is. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar with Connor the bartender greeting us quickly. Undecided about drinks Connor recommended the Prosecco Spritz for me since I love a fizz and the Smoked Old Fashioned for my friend. The cocktails were gorgeous, tasty, and kept coming! The drinks helped with our concert vocals! While we didn't plan to eat the menu Starters looked awesome so we ordered both the Chicken Fried Lobster Tails and Baked Oysters. They were good but not large enough for sharing so we added another round of the same thing, basically each having our own meals now. The Lobster Tail was perfectly crisp and was truly seasoned with 12 herbs and spices. While we were there short on time we definitely plan to return for dinner and/or brunch. read more

The Beaumont is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants outside of downtown Baltimore. The food is always good. The service is always great and it has the small neighborhood restaurant feel but an elevated menu and dining experience. I've been many times and have not had one experience in which things have been less than five stars. Monday nights they have a special where wine is half priced, Mondays are definitely an ideal day to go. If you enjoy wine. I suggest the burger or the steak. Both are excellent. The creamed spinach is great. The potatoes are great. This place is a great place. I'm glad it's local, I'm glad that the service is great, I'm glad that the food is great and I'm glad that it hasn't gotten big enough where you cannot just simply walk in without a reservation and be seated and experienced a great deal. read more

The wine was good to go with my steak but I loved the martini. It was cute, good and just right with the "strong-ness". Next time I want to try to smoked old fashion. The waiter was kind enough to split each check. The only thing that we "did not like", was that a 20% gratuity was automatically added. I don't have an issue with adding the tip automatically, just let me know in advance. They do however need to add a better restroom situation. It was clean and well maintained. Never have I ever sat in a restaurant and wanted the meal to be over faster. I had such high hopes for this new upscale steakhouse in the heart of Catonsville. Such high hopes that I booked a reservation for my husband and my 3 year wedding anniversary dinner here. What a disappointment. The restaurant was so loud I could not hear the waitress or my husband. It was as if I was in a bar in downtown Baltimore at midnight. We were shocked with how loud it was and it made for a really uncomfortable dining experience. Even the couple next to us sat down and mentioned the volume and we're debating leaving. We should have left because it only got worse. Service was subpar with a waitress who doubled as the loudest bartender alive smashing empty bottles of wine in the trash, loudly talking to the other staff, and mixing cocktails with a spoon that apparently only hit all sides of the glass. The food can best be described as wedding food. We ordered drinks and the fig app to begin. The fig app was such a let down!! The flavor combinations were super off with COLD brie, hot honey, figs, basil, and shaved peanuts and almonds. I'm sorry wut. Not good-just weird. I got the 8oz steak with a size of mashed potatoes and mushrooms for $26. The steak lacked flavor, the mushrooms were salty, and the mashed potatoes were average. Hubs got the burger for $18 because it mentioned bacon jalapeño jam that he thinks wasn't even on the burger. If you thought the decibel level of the place, service or food topped the cake on this iceberg...drumroll please......there was NO AC. Not to be tmi (too much info) but I was a sweaty MESS by the end of my meal. So uncomfortable. They really needed to have the ac on or bump it down or get blinds. Right on Frederick Road in the middle of Catonsville, I stopped by The Beaumont in Catonsville for a Saturday brunch recently. The restaurant was fairly empty, with only another couple of parties present, which first made me dubious of the quality of food (what do the locals know that I don't, you know?), but it did mean we were seated and served right away. The Beaumont advertises itself as a steakhouse, but all I wanted was brunch, so I got the Crab Cake Benedict with crispy Brussel Sprouts while my partner got a cheesy Shrimp and Grits. The Benedict was amazing (and very filling), but I thought the Brussel Sprouts were too crispy and bordering on burnt. Since we were in the middle of running errands, we didn't get anything to drink, but I was tempted by their impressive cocktail menu! I'd never heard of this unassuming restaurant before, but I was happy by the end of my meal.
