We are frequent flyers at The Beaumont and typically have great service and wonderful food. Tonight we took some out of town guests. The host couldn't find our reservation. The host huffed and puffed about seating us. It was 5 pm on a Saturday, there was a 2 top and a 4 top seated. My husband asked if there was a problem and he said that he was trying to find a place to seat us. We looked around and he said "I have 40 people coming in the next 15 minutes." He said he was trying to figure out if he could fit us in somewhere. Terrible customer service. He was condescending and abrupt. Over the next hour and a half, exactly 29 people came in. The food was delicious and the service top notch but the experience was negative due to the way the evening started. My husband mentioned the treatment to the bar tender that has served us many times. The host came over and asked if there was a problem. My husband mentioned that he said he was expecting 40 people in 15 minutes and he said they had a lot of cancellations. Condescending and rude. Sadly, we were told he was the new GM. I went to the Beaumont for the first time with my sisters and was blown away! The ambiance was nice. They had a very beautiful skylight in the dining room and everything was very clean. Our server was so personable and friendly. I got the strip steak with creamed spinach and twice baked potato and it was SO good. Better than most expensive steakhouses I've been to. My sister had the swordfish and my other sister had the mahi mahi. Everything was so good and the prices were reasonable. I'll definitely be returning! read more

The service here is absolutely phenomenal, and the brunch was good too. Came here with four toddlers and a baby after a mommy and me play date and we all decided to get something to eat. Came here on a whim but so glad we did! The brunch was delicious. They have an established brunch menu but were so nice and willing to accommodate picky kids. I was nervous at first because the kids initially were all chanting "chicken nuggets and French fries" but when their food came out, everyone- mommies and kids alike truly enjoyed the food. The staff was so nice...remember I said we were a large group with four toddlers and a baby and they were just cool and even if they were ready for us to leave, they absolutely didn't show it and were chatting with the kids. Mind you, it is not a place I would think to bring kids- definitely kid friendly but it's a cute and quaint place that has a romantic feel. read more

We popped in for a couple of cocktails after finding this cute place with rave reviews on Yelp before heading to the Babyface & Kem concert at the Chesapeake Employers Arena. The Beaumont was too close for us not go at less than 2 miles away. When entering the restaurant you immediately notice how small and intimate the entire place is. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar with Connor the bartender greeting us quickly. Undecided about drinks Connor recommended the Prosecco Spritz for me since I love a fizz and the Smoked Old Fashioned for my friend. The cocktails were gorgeous, tasty, and kept coming! The drinks helped with our concert vocals! While we didn't plan to eat the menu Starters looked awesome so we ordered both the Chicken Fried Lobster Tails and Baked Oysters. They were good but not large enough for sharing so we added another round of the same thing, basically each having our own meals now. The Lobster Tail was perfectly crisp and was truly seasoned with 12 herbs and spices. While we were there short on time we definitely plan to return for dinner and/or brunch. read more

The Beaumont is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants outside of downtown Baltimore. The food is always good. The service is always great and it has the small neighborhood restaurant feel but an elevated menu and dining experience. I've been many times and have not had one experience in which things have been less than five stars. Monday nights they have a special where wine is half priced, Mondays are definitely an ideal day to go. If you enjoy wine. I suggest the burger or the steak. Both are excellent. The creamed spinach is great. The potatoes are great. This place is a great place. I'm glad it's local, I'm glad that the service is great, I'm glad that the food is great and I'm glad that it hasn't gotten big enough where you cannot just simply walk in without a reservation and be seated and experienced a great deal. read more

I came here when it first opened and I was definitely expecting high standards due to the reviews! The interior is absolutely beautiful with great aesthetics. My waitress was super sweet, and gave us a great walkthrough of the menu as it has been my first time being there. I ordered the 22oz Bone-in Ribeye topped with a crab cake, cream spinach, mac&cheese, a glass of wine and the Pear-a- dise Martini. As you can tell it was great and I actually ate ever piece of my steak! Everything was really good and the steak did not need any steak sauce. I would say that the crab cake sauce tasted good on the steak to me () since I thought it was a type of garlic butter. It was cooked perfectly to my liking. The spinach was good just a little too creamy for ME but I loved it. The crab cake was real crab meat and mac&cheese was cheesy. Both were great and I took them to eat for breakfast. The wine was good to go with my steak but I loved the martini. It was cute, good and just right with the "strong-ness". Next time I want to try to smoked old fashion. The atmosphere is more laid back than you would think. I described it as a small restaurant that feels like it definitely should have white table cloths, but doesn't. I added a picture of what I wore but some people made me feel a little over dressed from what they had on. I can't remember my waiter name but I really think it was Mel. He was AWESOME!!!! He knew the menu and answered all of my questions. I gave him choices that I'm used to getting and he was able to guide me into the right direction. I even let him pick my wine to pair with my steak. He had just the right amount of attentiveness. The establishment is rather cozy without feeling compressed. The bar is stocked with popular bourbons complemented by a specialty selection that is sure to please connoisseurs. Our server Mel was succinct yet provided us with helpful recommendations for side pairings. My Old Fashioned was magnificent. Definitely among the best I've ever had. My wife had a generous pour of Cabernet that fulfilled expectations. Fried green tomatoes. What a banal name for a magnificent appetizer. The size is generous enough to share without feeling taxed by your companion. Adorned with crab, corn and tomato it's elevated comfort food and a terrific start for a special dining experience. My wife had the pork chop with the creamed chard. She loved it! Absolutely delicious and even better the next day. My daughter had the short rib which she polished with alacrity I went with the ribeye medium and it was certainly worth it. As others have noted, their steak is cooked to temperature. Perfectly seasoned and no need for sauce. I did add mushrooms and onions. Virtuoso performance by the chef. For dessert I had the sundae and my daughter had a creme brulee which was divine. This is a small but lovely restaurant in Cantonsville. Our waiter was excellent and so was the gentleman who welcomed us in the restaurant whom I assumed was the owner/manager. Chefs kiss to the Chef! My New York strip steak dinner was perfect! I had Brussel sprouts and mushrooms on the side which also was cooked to perfection. The food was simply delicious and amazing! It's just too bad this restaurant is over 2 hours away since we would definitely dine there frequently, but it's perhaps a good thing it's not too close to us. It was amazing from start to finish and neither one of us have had a Caesar salad so flavorful and delicious, all the while, looking so plain. The dressing sealed the deal! We came to this restaurant for a birthday celebration. We started at the bar, and the drinks were amazing. When we were finally seated, our waiter was very knowledgeable about every single item on the menu. All of the food came out (party of 12) at roughly the same time. The waiter was kind enough to split each check. The only thing that we "did not like", was that a 20% gratuity was automatically added. I don't have an issue with adding the tip automatically, just let me know in advance. They do however need to add a better restroom situation. It was clean and well maintained. The issue is that there was only space for 2...almost like being home with an added urinal next to the toilet. read more

Never have I ever sat in a restaurant and wanted the meal to be over faster. I had such high hopes for this new upscale steakhouse in the heart of Catonsville. Such high hopes that I booked a reservation for my husband and my 3 year wedding anniversary dinner here. What a disappointment. The restaurant was so loud I could not hear the waitress or my husband. It was as if I was in a bar in downtown Baltimore at midnight. We were shocked with how loud it was and it made for a really uncomfortable dining experience. Even the couple next to us sat down and mentioned the volume and we're debating leaving. We should have left because it only got worse. Service was subpar with a waitress who doubled as the loudest bartender alive smashing empty bottles of wine in the trash, loudly talking to the other staff, and mixing cocktails with a spoon that apparently only hit all sides of the glass. The food can best be described as wedding food. We ordered drinks and the fig app to begin. The fig app was such a let down!! The flavor combinations were super off with COLD brie, hot honey, figs, basil, and shaved peanuts and almonds. I'm sorry wut. Not good-just weird. I got the 8oz steak with a size of mashed potatoes and mushrooms for $26. The steak lacked flavor, the mushrooms were salty, and the mashed potatoes were average. Hubs got the burger for $18 because it mentioned bacon jalapeño jam that he thinks wasn't even on the burger. If you thought the decibel level of the place, service or food topped the cake on this iceberg...drumroll please......there was NO AC. Not to be tmi (too much info) but I was a sweaty MESS by the end of my meal. So uncomfortable. They really needed to have the ac on or bump it down or get blinds. Right on Frederick Road in the middle of Catonsville, I stopped by The Beaumont in Catonsville for a Saturday brunch recently. The restaurant was fairly empty, with only another couple of parties present, which first made me dubious of the quality of food (what do the locals know that I don't, you know?), but it did mean we were seated and served right away. The Beaumont advertises itself as a steakhouse, but all I wanted was brunch, so I got the Crab Cake Benedict with crispy Brussel Sprouts while my partner got a cheesy Shrimp and Grits. The Benedict was amazing (and very filling), but I thought the Brussel Sprouts were too crispy and bordering on burnt. Since we were in the middle of running errands, we didn't get anything to drink, but I was tempted by their impressive cocktail menu! I'd never heard of this unassuming restaurant before, but I was happy by the end of my meal. The restaurant around the corner was busy and outdoor-seated patrons spilled on to the sidewalk, while it was practically a ghost town inside The Beaumont - it was odd since I thought the food was just fine and would expect a restaurant prominently located on a corner of the main road would be bustling during Saturday lunchtime. read more

Dined at the Beaumont tonight and found this to be a nice dining location with available parking on the street and at an office building across the street, Very quiet small restaurant with good seating and great service. However the food was not worth the price or the drive from Lutherville. I had read the crabcakes were good so we both ordered the broiled double crabcake platter with the twice baked potato and the vegetable side. We were given two rolls as a starter. The rolls were fresh but the crust was pale, not a golden brown. Then out came our platters.The plates and the food was served hot, hot, hot. The potato and the mushrooms and asparagus though small were nicely prepared. The crabcakes were approximately 5 ounces each and had some kind of bread coating which was not tasty. The crabmeat was not lump but a mix of backfin with some lump blended in. There was little or no distinctive spices to give the crabmeat flavor so the crabcakes were a bit tasteless. I thought I was eating a crab cake coddie. I ate one and a half and gave the final half to my husband, This was $54 for two bland, minimal lump meat crabcakes that had no distinctive taste. The best crabcakes are those that have a flavor that makes you want more, not want to give away the last half. I love the crabcakes at Kocos and Conrad's because they use the best crabmeat and have a distinctive flavor that makes me want more. read more

This is a quaint little steakhouse in Catonsville that is BIG in flavor. OMG everything we ordered was scrumptious- and the seven of us ordered A LOT of food. I captured photos of the entrees, but we also ordered the fried grits and shrimp and the crab dip and they were also absolutely delicious. The food portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The service was also impeccable. You must give it a try if you are anywhere nearby.
