If I'm on vacation in a city with a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, I'm almost certain to check it out and this place was no different. Was in Baltimore for a concert and we decided to stop by the casino and in turn enjoy this iteration of a Ramsay restaurant. Took a bit to get seated but eventually we got seated and had a lovely server. I got the beef Wellington. Wife got the filet. We also got a sticky toffee for dessert. Service was great and attentive. The only knock is we set this up as an anniversary dinner (15th wedding anniversary). Last time I had an anniversary dinner at a Ramsay restaurant (Ramsays kitchen in Las Vegas at the harrah's hotel two years ago), they offered us the sticky toffee pudding as a celebration. This place didn't offer us anything and just gave us champagne at the end, which neither of us drank as we aren't drinkers. Not saying we HAVE to be comped something for a special occasion but the inconsistency between the restaurants is disappointing. read more

Had a good meal on Friday night, but was a little disappointed with the current, limited menu. Our server mentioned that Gordon Ramsay North America locations are undergoing some menu changes coming in September, so looking forward to seeing what's next. For dinner, my husband and I started with cocktails - the chai team Old Fashioned for my husband, and the Scott's Donkey (swapped from gin to vodka) which had Fresno chilies and cucumber for me. Food was a mixed bag. The new sourdough rolls are not as good as the old bread, and my salmon was a little dry, but my husband's New York Strip with peppercorn sauce was good. Thankfully, the max and cheese and cinnamon-glazed carrots haven't changed. The dessert menus was also reduced, but they still have the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Parking tip: After parking in the garage, take the elevator to the ground floor, then you can walk straight across to the restaurant without having to navigate through the casino. My most recent experience fell short in so many ways. We were a party of 9 celebrating a milestone birthday. All of my dining companions were first time visitors and sadly none would return. Everything started off great. The staff were welcoming and offered the birthday boy a champagne toast at a time of his choosing during the dinner. Our drink orders were put in and it all went seemingly down hill from there. It wasn't particularly crowded but it took a while for cocktails to arrive. I tried "the lift off" and it looked like watery chocolate milk in a low glass. It didn't taste much better. Forty minutes later appetizers finally came. I had oysters, a few others had crab cakes so there was nothing that would account for that wait time. Apps were pretty good so I'll give a few stars. Then came an over one hour plus wait for our entrees to arrive. We watched the dining room fill, and a VIP football players private party arrive. Our server made herself scarce during our wait. We could hear others chattering about the wait, but the staff seemed to wiz by with little to no eye contact. It was all about the private party while the rest of us waited with dirty dishes in front of us and barely full glasses. Once entrees did finally make their way it was disorganized. As a few people cut into their NY Strips they would figure out it was given to the wrong person. So the birthday boy got to start his meal with a cut into steak from a nearby family member. They forgot his side but it eventually came. Then to add insult to injury my 20oz bone in ribeye arrive with about 4oz missing! I dine across the globe in many steakhouses and know that cut was not up to par. The manager did discount the price for the mistake but it's shocking that a steakhouse of this caliber would present that in the first place. 4 of the steaks were incorrect temperatures even after the musical steaks debacle but no one was willing to wait another hour so just kept them. All in all it was a disappointing dinner and I feel bad for having suggested it for my brothers dinner party. read more

We had a great experience at this steakhouse. The staff and service were top notch. They checked in, they were attentive, polished and professional. Though we appreciated the quiet setting we were extremely surprised there were so few people in the restaurant. We ordered the Crab Soup and a market salad. The salad wedge was huge. The soup was okay, not my absolute favorite, but I'm also not accustomed to the red broth. The Beef Wellington was perfect. It just melts in your mouth. We came here for Christmas dinner, since we were flying to Cancun out of BWI the next day. It was surprisingly busy, and the atmosphere was happy and lively. Bethany was our server. She was delightful and very attentive. All of the staff was. We were immediately welcomed by multiple people when we walked in. For food, my husband ordered the preset menu with the crab cake, 20 oz ribeye, and the cheesecake. I ordered the grilled Caesar, mushrooms, and snow crab legs (they don't carry king crab anymore). The crab cake was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and not too bready. The steak was also seasoned nicely. I wouldn't recommend ordering the crab legs unless you're willing to put in the work. I expected them to come split and easy to break apart, but I was only given the crab cracker. There wasn't a pick or small fork to help get the meat out. I worked for my meal. Still loving this place but even more!! Came here this past weekend with relatives to celebrate two birthdays. We had a big party so online reservations weren't doable--we called and they were able to accommodate 11 people. Our favorite server is now Miles, who is AWESOME, so of course we requested his table! Food was great as usual. Enjoyed their Market Salad and Maryland Crabcake for appetizers--they also give complimentary bread and butters. The MUST GET is the 20 oz. Bone-In Ribeye--meat is tender and well flavored, so delicious!! You don't even need to get a sauce because it's seasoned enough. The New York Strip is good too! For sides, I recommend the Loaded Baked Potato, Creamed Spinach, Mac & Cheese and Roasted Corn! For the birthday men, they brought out two complimentary glasses of champagne and small birthday chocolates with a candle--which was sweet! Dessert wise, the Sticky Toffee Pudding is my favorite. I absolutely love this restaurant but what made it extra special was my loved ones taking me here for my Birthday dinner and the staff helped to make it special. I had the Lamb Chops with Beet Purée, Brussels Sprouts, Pomegranate, and Garlic Oil. The Beef Wellington is usually my go to but I wanted to try this and I'm so glad I did. Finally, I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Brown Sugar Ice Cream for dessert and they added special touches like a Happy Birthday chocolate and the candle. I'm so thankful. The food and service were impeccable. Prices were high for my taste, and for what we got, but that's no surprise, considering it's the most expensive top restaurant at the Horseshoe casino. However, the prices were ridiculous. $24 for a bowl of crab soup, $18 for onion soup that wasn't traditional and not very good. My friend got the onion soup and didn't like it. I got a 16-oz strip steak, and it was perfect, not $68 good, but tasty, and I liked it. The side of glazed carrots was perfect, but not something that could be shared with another person, let alone have enough for just one person. At $15 for a side, shareable with another person, there wasn't even enough for me. My friend ordered the lamb chops, and they were good. The sweet Brussels sprouts were even better, but again, they were costly for what we got. I get it; we chose a super expensive restaurant over the sports bar or the minimal food court, but we did it, and it was a nice place to have a meal after leaving our donation at the tables. I order the Beef Wellington and he got the steak. It was delicious, especially loved the Demi glaze on the mashed potatoes (a high compliment from me since I normally don't like mashed potatoes) with the carrots and jicama. The Beef Wellington was tasty as well, however my only critique is that it was quite salty. The beef was so tender and the crust so was flaky and delicious, and loved the mushroom and prosciutto layers, but with the Hawaiian rock salt it was just a bit too much salt. Although it wasn't super busy, I would recommend making a reservation just in case. The staff - polite, friendly, enthusiastic. They seem to enjoy their work. Drinks - some great cocktail options! We made reservations for 7:00, but we asked could we be seated early since we got there early to walk around the Casino to see what was in there since it was our first time there, it wasn't much to see in the Casino. We ordered a number of items ( see pics). We were surprised at how small the portion sizes were. The MD Crab Soup hardly had anything in it, mainly Corn, Tomatoes and only 3 Lumps of Crabmeat. It was tasty but I was disappointed, I was expecting more especially for the price of $15. I got the Kansas City Strip Steak and the Hubby got the Ribeye, we both ordered the Medium, but after taking a couple of bites we saw that they were Rare. We informed our Server Miles and he saw them and agreed that they were Rare. He asked did we want to send them back so they can Bump up the heat on them? We said no we will just recook them at Home. We were surprised that he didn't offer to bring us out a new Steak, especially for the Price we paid for both Steaks which was $80 a piece. We decided to visit one of the restaurants that we had on our checklist for my bday & decided to give Gordon Ramsey's Steak a try - being a fan of his shows. The restaurant is located inside of the Horseshoe Casino, which I don't love, but whatever Jamar - stop whining. Having just gotten off a plane, my Wife & I were a bit exhausted and not as hungry as we usually are come dinner time so we decided to just try some things. For appetizers we got the Japanese A5, which if you don't know is Premium Japanese Wagyu & is sold at: $40 an ounce. After getting a recommendation from Bethany, we decided on 4oz but after tasting this delicious, piece of beef perfection, I wish I had would've gotten eight. Point, blank, period - 10/10. The beef literally melts in your mouth. It's the most tender beef I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. For drinks, Bethany suggested a Chai old fashioned. It was strong but delicious & we both went back for seconds. Lol. 7/10 My entree was the Beef Wellington. I mean... cmon. Who goes to a Chef Ramsey restaurant for the first time & not try the Wellington, right? And it was good. Really good. But it didn't blow me away. Maybe that's bc I had the Japanese Wagyu? Bc it was very good & I have no complaints. Make sense? 9/10 Keena got the Lobster Risotto, which we loved, at the suggestion of Bethany, considering it's one of Chef Ramsey's specialty dishes. I refuse to eat here again. We came for dinner and as soon as we sat I noticed red lip stick on my water glass. The waitress apologized and the manager came over and apologized as well. I did get a new glass. Next issue was the raw lobster we were served. I bought it to my waitresses attention and brought over the manager who then said "sorry the lobster is not up to your standards." The lobster was RAW! Because the food is slightly gourmet & well plated, but certainly not worth its price. Particularly the bland macaroni and cheese (please skip that). In a party of 6, the most impressive course was the Roasted Chicken - go for that. The steaks were ok but need the sauces to lift them to "flavorful". Seasoning was in short supply overall. My date and I went to Gordon Ramsay Steak in Baltimore a few weeks ago for dinner and were extremely impressed! The restaurant is quite spacious - which includes the waiting area. For starters, we had British Ale Onion Soup, Maryland Blue Crab Soup, and Grilled Caesar Salad. We loved both soup but wasn't too thrilled with the salad. We also split an order of the Maine Lobster Risotto which we were very happy we didn't skip! For steaks, we each had the Eye of the Ribeye - with Grilled Shrimp for him and with Seared Scallops for me. We ordered fingerling potatoes and mushrooms on the side. For dessert, we had the Chocolate Pot de Creme which is totally heavenly! We also had some cocktails and a bottle of wine which all went really well with all the food. There were some hiccups, like the waiting time to get seated took longer than expected but it was because they were understaffed and one of our steaks needed to be refired. This was my first time going to a Gordon Ramsey restaurant so I went in with some really high expectations and it did not disappoint. A huge shoutout to our waitress, Sarah V. She was such a delight and gave a great recommendation to my girlfriend on a wine that we both loved and ended up ordering a bottle. She really made our experience amazing and took the time to chat with us a bit. Food: A solid 10/10. Worth the cost. The filet was insanely tender and kept all the juices and flavors with every bite. I could have eaten way more, that's just how good it was. She recommended the beef tartare which I was blown away with. I forget what the dessert was but the cake and ice cream was a whole different experience. It helped balance the entire meal out. If you're ready to spend a couple hundred dollars, this is a great place to spend your hard earned money. Lobster risotto: absolutely delicious with a nice tail to top it off. (would get again) Beef wellington: after watching Hell's Kitchen all my teen years, I had to get it, but it was a bit of a let down. While the beef was extremely tender and delicious, the puff pastry was soggy, and did not contribute well to the dish. (would not get again) Wagyu Ribeye: while my husband enjoyed it, he thought my ribeye I cooked at home was better. For a pricey steakhouse (and wagyu at that), I wish he enjoyed it a lot more. King crab leg: my husband had a side of crab leg to top off his steak, and he enjoyed that very much. Bone marrow: I got a side of bone marrow because why not... for $10, I got a teaspoon full, and there was too much sauce on top for me to enjoy the marrow. (would not get again) We enjoyed the chimichurri sauce, brussel sprouts, and the loaded baked potato. I guess it was daycare night. Why are infants in a fine dining casino restaurant? I have been to other Ramsay restaurants in the past and had very high expectations for this particular restaurant. The food was delicious but the restaurant was clearly understaffed. We spent our anniversary dinner listening to screaming (not just crying) but two different screaming babies during our entire dinning experience. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. We went in on Sunday, Feb 16th. I ordered the prime rib special. It was supposed to be 16 ounces for $78. I received about 10 ounces, and half of it was fat. So I sent it back and changed my order to the 20-ounce ribeye for $90. I ordered it medium rare. They brought me the whiskey cowboy ribeye for $120, which i didn't know about. It also came blue rare, not medium rare. At the end of the meal, when I asked about the bill, the manager came over and apologized for everything but refused to lower the bill. She kept saying she's unable to do so. I've never been to a Ramsey restaurant that messed up our food so much, and whose management was so unwilling to help out. This was my first time dining at a Ramsay restaurant, my dad was in the hospital at UMMC some family members wanted to grab some dinner on a Fri evening at the casino and we decided on Ramsays and made reservations online. When we arrived it wasn't very busy we really didn't need reservations, we approached the host stand and mentioned our reservation walking to our seats we passed the bar area it was a little dark could have used a little bit more lighting especially at the bar. Our server approached and asked if we have eaten there before after hearing we hadn't he explained the menu to us. My aunt and I order alcohol she had red wine and I had an old fashioned, when the server came back with our drinks I was completely shocked when he put my drink down. I specifically said NO water I understand that a REAL Old Fashion is just a shot of alcohol that the cup will not be full, when he put the drink down it was full of crushed ice and the bourbon was to the top of the glass. We aren't at a dive bar the prices on the menu are not cheap and my old fashion is ruined, this restaurant should have large ice cube for bourbon drinks. I tasted it and said I asked for no water this drink is half full of water and asked for a large ice cube. If the bar tender doesn't know how to make drinks they need a new one, he returned with my drink alls they did was strain out the ice and put a cube of ice in the cup. Why wasn't the cube used the first time?? And the bourbon was still watered down, wasted that drink. My mom and I had the Beef Wellington and my aunt and cousin had the sea bass and we shared the cream spinach. Both steaks were very good maybe just a little more of the mashed potatoes and the Demi sauce would have been nice. Both sea bass meals were excellent I tastes a bite from my cousin and it was outstanding cooked perfectly, the fish came with parsnips and quinoa could have used a little more parsnips. We came here for my husband's birthday. We have previously eaten at their Vegas and Atlantic City locations. We have tried the Beef Wellington at each location, and the quality is pretty consistent at each location. This Baltimore location definitely did not disappoint. It was my husband's first time getting a steak from Gordon Ramsay. I must say, it was one of best steaks I have ever tried. I only had one bite, but it was worth the $92 haha. Yes, the steaks are expensive. And yes, I recognize that part of the cost is that a celebrity chef's name is attached to the restaurant. But the restaurant really deserves the attention. The steak was really good. The sides we ordered were good, but I probably won't order them again. We ordered the Caesar salad, which was a little too fishy for me and the British onion soup, which I thought was a little too pricy for what it was. Even with those criticisms I would still rate them 5 stars because of how good the steak is. Also, since it was my husband's birthday they brought him a birthday card signed by Gordon Ramsay. It's my second time dining here after a few years and quality doesn't seem to be as good. For a restaurant like this I would expect perfection, if not, almost, and what we got was a lot less of a perfection. But maybe thats on our high expectations as we love Gordon Ramsay's shows. We liked most of the food, my husband loved the beef wellington it was delicious, the mac and cheese was one of the best we got. I got the 16oz NY Strip and for the most part it was cooked and seared great but a good portion, maybe 1/4 of it was really burnt on the sear, (can maybe see it on the photo uploaded, which really turned me off of it after having a bite full of bitter burnt piece of strip. I had let our server know about it but all they said was they'll let the kitchen know so I lost about 1/4 of my steak, but paid full price. Service was alright, our server was nice and informative about the menu and food. It was however hard to get their attention at times. I did not realize that the mushrooms were spicy, so I did not care for those, but they insisted on removing it from the bill even though I would not have asked. They noticed that I did not eat them. The corn side is amazing. I liked the house steak sauce but not the peppercorn sauce so much, kinda bland. The red wine sauce that came with the steak was good. Service was perfection. $$$$$ very expensive! Be prepared to spend $150 per person or more if you order wine or alcohol. The atmosphere was 5 star and the waitstaff is very attentive but they under cooked my steak. My gut feeling is they under cook a lot of steaks because they think everyone should eat steak cooked RARE with a cold center. If you like your steak cold your experience will be better. But if you like medium or medium well forget it, order the chicken. This rating should be 3.5 but because 3 seems harsh I am giving it a 4.
