OK, initially I had reviewed Humphrey's Salon, because that's where Kim's "Sugar Shack" is located…read more But I guess she just rents the space there at Humphrey's, and they do her scheduling and stuff at Humphrey's...but she's not necessarily a Humphrey's employee? I don't know how the salon world really works, I suppose. What I DO KNOW is that Kim is amazing. She's the nicest lady, and remembered me even though I didn't come in for, like, three months. The front desk staff at Humphrey's had screwed up my scheduling initially - like, I was supposed to be on the books, but found out they cancelled my appointment without telling me - and that was in February...since then, I've missed an appointment (they didn't call to remind me of the appointment, either, which is weird) and had to reschedule. When I went yesterday, I found out that Humphrey's is under new management, which explained all the confusion. But my review is on Kim - she's amazing at what she does - and she does hair waxing and sugaring. You can't find sugaring ANYWHERE else...it's safer, cleaner, and just slightly less painful than waxing. Kim is very thorough and makes you feel SO COMFORTABLE, despite the fact that she is, in fact, ripping out your hair from its roots. The prices are slightly steep, but comparable to what other salons are charging for waxing. Apparently she does FULL BODY hair removal, too. Just in case you were wondering.
