Sweetest, smiling waitresses who call you Darling... reminds me of growing up in North Carolina & Virginia. As a Carolinian, I am always in search of a legitimate biscuit. These were decent. The breakfast was delicious eggs perfectly prepared, quality sausage patties, grits, and some milk gravy. Solid. Vibe is pleasant with all the nice waitresses. Like the Arnold said... I'll be back

Stopped in again recently and had a great experience. Seated immediately, menus, water, and coffee at the table right away. I like the atmosphere, decorations, open setting. We had the Eggs Benedict with potatoes, and Western Omelet with added jalapenos. Everything came out hot and the potatoes were the perfect amount of crisp! Nice serving sizes as well. I have to mention the service. Our server kept our coffee mugs full and the manager stopped by twice to ask how things were going, Now for the menu! I have to go back because I LOVE some of the names they gave entrees and I must try them! The "3 Car Pileup" breakfast platter, the "Dark Side" pancakes, and Omelets named, "Popeye" and "The Titanic". The Big Biscuit is now on my short list of favorite breakfast stops.

First time at The Big Biscuit, did I order a biscuit, nope! When we entered we were greeted and seated quickly! The vibe was very rustic and cozy. Immediately received menu and got the coffee started. It was hit and delicious. We couldn't really decide what to get from this carb filled menu, so we decided to split a plate/platter of pancakes. The buttermilk pancakes were big and fluffy and had a sweet taste. Food came out hot and I forgot all about pictures, we dung in. Everything was delicious and fulfilling. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was cool. I'll go back and bring more friends.

If you have not been to this restaurant you are certainly missing out. The food is outstanding. Service is off the charts. Very clean and quiet place to eat.

My husband and I came here for the first time for an anniversary celebration weekend. We started out with salted caramel coffees. They tasted really watered down and were mostly ice, hardly any coffee in them, tasted mostly like cream. Would never order again. We (well just me) started with the Cronuts that I saw all the other reviews rave about. Omg soooo good. I would come back just for these. I had the burrito and my husband had the ranchero Bowl. Both were good but pretty basic. His came with a biscuit and it was so yummy as well and huge. Overall, wouldn't come here for their regular breakfasts or coffee but would return for cronuts or biscuits. Maybe get takeout and coffee somewhere else next time

The place was quiet and the service was fast. The biscuit was so soft on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside. The loaded potatoes were great but a little too much cheese for my taste. My friend got the chicken and waffles and it was nothing to write home about.

Tried The Big Biscuit for the first time on a Saturday at about 10:45 a.m. Used the "waitlist" and was seated promptly. The hostess that greeted us was very friendly. First impressions- the decor is very nice and open. The atmosphere is very loud so conversations are a bit challenging. A perfect place if you have kids and worry if they will bother other patrons. Our server was quick and friendly and our drink orders came right out. The food - We ordered basic breakfasts and it didn't take too long for them to arrive. Hubby had Corned Beef Hash and Eggs with hashed browns and wheat toast. I ordered two eggs with hashed browns and toast. All was prepared as ordered. The serving size was average and the corned beef hash and hashed browns were a bit ordinary and seemed almost like canned corn beef hash or frozen hashed brown potatoes rather than from scratch. My hubby had iced tea and I had water. Our bill was about $27.00 before tip. Even though what we ordered was nothing to write home about some of the other menu choices that we saw going by looked good, waffles, chicken, biscuits, pancakes. All and all an OK place for breakfast when you don't feel like cooking yourself. read more

The community likes the location of the restaurant, because otherwise is another 15 to 20 minutes to another restaurant serving breakfast. The service was either really slow or forgotten or really alert. It's a hit and miss. The menu offers many options for breakfast or brunch and the grits are creamy. read more

First morning in Edmund, and looking for a breakfast place. Not being from Oklahoma we don't know what is what in terms of chains and local gems. Well, off to Big Biscuit we went. We were seated promptly, our server got our coffee order efficiently, and took our orders. My chicken fried steak became chicken fried chicken. Eggs cooked properly, wheat toast wasn't stale, and the gravy was bland. There was some sausage in it, but you couldn't taste it. My wife, daughter and two sons didn't eat 1/2 of their breakfasts. Bland. The biscuits were in fact big, flaky and maybe the star of the show. **** I believe gravy, among other things are a conduit for Tabasco. So I had a pretty good breakfast since I simply added a generous amount of Tabasco to my gravy and broke my eggs over the hash browns, added more Tabasco to that, and enjoyed by chicken fried chicken. And, truth be told, the chicken fried chicken was good, maybe better than the chicken fried steak would have been. If you're looking for a local hole in the wall, this isn't it. If you are looking for a good breakfast chain, this one isn't going to challenge your taste buds. read more

We got the titanic and tried the sticky biscuit and bonut. The biscuits are the best I've ever had. Everything was excellent!! A thousand times better than Neighborhood Jam and better pricing too. I got the Mayberry which includes a biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was stacked so there gravy basically just covered 1 half. I was disappointed that it cost me an extra $2.50 just to get gravy for the second half. read more

Might just be our families new go to breakfast spot. Everyone enjoyed thier meal, the atmosphere was great and the service excellent! The variety on the menu is fantastic. Price for value was great as well. We all left full and happy. It's a lot bigger and nicer than it looks. I almost let the fact that it's in a strip mall deter me, but no more. There is some outdoor seating for good weather too if that jazzes ya :) (and for those of you for whom its important, they have immaculate bathrooms :) ) read more

The food is excellent - I've tried most things here - the pancakes are amazing and big! They have excellent low carb options if you need those too. I eat here 1-2 a week and the service is always excellent. It can get busier on the weekends and late morning but I'm here right at opening and never have a wait. read more

When visiting, you have to try the bonuts! They're great for sharing and it doesn't feel like a proper visit without them. There's typically an hour wait or so though, so you should definitely check the waitlist before venturing over there. read more

Solid, no-frills comfort food done right. The chili cheeseburger was messy (in a good way) and packed with flavor. Fries were crispy and did their job. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly how you want it. The Vibe: Casual, laid-back, and exactly what you'd expect from a local comfort food joint. Nothing fancy--but that's not why you're here. Service: Very friendly across the board. You can tell they care about the experience, and that goes a long way. Final Thoughts: This is one of those places where you already know you'll be back before you leave. Next visit, I'm going all-in on the burger lineup--and after seeing that dessert case, I may need to save room. If you're in Edmond and craving comfort food, put this one on your list.

The shredded string carrot were never ending like a slinky. I had the Halibut as an entree on top of overcooked bucatini swimming in lemon oil. The fish was chewy, 1 inch thick skin side up and over oiled. It was garnished with curly stem on parsley. My sister ordered the Mac and cheese side, which waiter had to be reminded of, and it might as well have come out of a box. Watery to boot. The bar experience looked intriguing but I won't be back . I'm in town from Vegas.

The food itself was okay, at best. The unagi was the best thing I ate. The steak hibachi had no flavor, the tuna was concerningly fishy, and all the other sushi rolls tasted the same. The ice cream and fried cheesecake were very yummy. I'll give them that. About halfway through the meal, I asked to see the manager bc the promo online says nothing about only being Monday-Friday, but once I got here all the signage said it and my server nervously told me it was only M-F. I called the manager over to let her know the online promo is misleading and should probably be corrected. She said "most people call in to check but I guess I could correct it for the few people who only look online." She didn't honor the promo for me. She apologized, but there was no action. There is a new AYCE sushi place by Penn Square mall that is 10x better than this place and it's only $32.99 instead of $34.99. Driving to OKC will be worth it.

My only disappointment is they no longer send home a free set up to go- bring back the free set up, please! It was a great way to make date night feel less guilty by bringing the kids chips and salsa when we get back, haha. Service is really always great and the environment is exactly what you'd expect for a Tex-Mex joint. We've been coming to Ted's for over 30 years and it is our go to place for celebrations, date nights, or a random lunch date.

I'm sharing my experience training as a server at The Big Biscuit in Edmond because it may be helpful for others considering working there. I was hired in February and began training right away. I've been serving since I turned 18, so I came in with several years of experience. During the time I was there (a little under three weeks), I found the training process to be very disorganized and unprofessional. I was never given a clear training schedule and usually had to ask managers at the end of each shift when I should come back, which was something I never complained about but did find a bit odd, as I've never had to do that at a serving job before. There also seemed to be a lack of communication between managers, which made scheduling and expectations unclear. On a few occasions, when I arrived for a shift the manager on duty wasn't even aware I was scheduled. I spent the entire time in training shifts and was not given the opportunity to test out and begin taking tables for tips. During training I learned the entire menu, memorized table numbers, opened and closed the restaurant, followed servers and lead servers, completed a food running shift, and worked a couple of hosting shifts. Because of that, I was surprised that I wasn't able to move forward to the next step. One Saturday as I was clocking out, I was told they would reach out to let me know when I worked next. I didn't hear anything on Sunday, so I eventually reached out Monday morning to ask when I was supposed to come back for my next shift. During that phone call I was informed that I was being let go. My experience may not reflect everyone's, but the training process felt unclear and inconsistent to me. I hope the management team can improve communication and structure for future employees. read more

I went in yesterday and soon realized it was their first day open. You never know what to expect with a new establishment, but I was not disappointed. The crazy rundown of the menu was very informative and strangely enthusiastic and it immediately brighten my day. When I ordered my chicken and waffles, I was not expecting the staff to be as friendly as they were, especially with how considerate they were about asking if I'd be okay with them putting powered sugar on my chicken. It was a little cold with the fans, and the seats were a bit uncomfortable, but the energy will definitely keep me coming back! read more
