Food was great but 4 bucks for orange juice that's too pricey for real for a glass of orange juice

My husband always picks up sticky buns for us on Sunday mornings (well the last 4 mornings lol ) and I'm in love with them, i just am bummed the last two times which is 1/2 i dunno whats happening (i definitely inspected my hubby to make sure he wasn't eating it on the way back and being greedy.. but Im telling u he was innocent) like 1 of the sticky buns are cut in half like... missing a good size other half of one .....i asked him why he didn't catch it he said he didn't think it would happen again that they just were so busy last sunday .. eh . the other half i ate was 100% delish.. read more

My wife and I have been here several times now. Mainly on Sunday morning. My wife loooooves pancakes and really likes the pancakes here. Of all the visits we have had problems only once and they did correct the mistake, comped that meal and gave us a coupon for a free meal on our next visit. My wife always gets the big breakfast. I have tried several. May favorite the huge chicken fried steak. My least favorite is the "bowls". Overall we have gotten good service and good food. read more

Had an amazing experience there. While we were seated and was waiting for our orders to come, an unexpected accident happened, one of the drink was spilled when the waiter was trying to place it on the table. I had an infant in my hands and luckily the drink was spilled on me but not my infant. However it was spilled all over the table and the car seat as well. Accidents like this happen and i was just thankful to god that my little one was all ok. The waiter apologised profusely and the manager or the person on duty also came and expressed that he was sorry. I am truly impressed by the way they handled the situation. We were told to move to another table and were offered an item in the menu while we were waiting for our main course. Food was delicious and so was the service. When it was time to pay our bill, we were told its on the house and we repeatedly asked its fine and that we would like to take care of the bill, they said we just want you to come back. We did manage to sneak a generous tip on the table. Great job to the team and looking forward to make future visits there. read more

This was a very nice surprise! The hollandaise was the best ever and sausage gravy to die for. I've never had both in one meal. My waitress Erin recommended great choices and I will be coming back soon. Fast service from a team effort and we ate on Easter. Huge portions so got 2 meals out of one order. The sticky biscuit is to die for! Quick friendly service. One of my favorite places to go.

Basically a good breakfast place. Like the corn beef and hash with eggs. Even though it is Big Biscuit, much of the time it is the Big DRY Biscuit. Ask for a FRESH BISCUIT NOT DRY. Gravy is good as well for the B's and G's. Most of the staff is good, but a couple of odd ones that are not up to speed on anything. read more

My husband and I are new to Olathe and have made it a goal to visit every restaurant in town. Wish we had missed this place. The plate-sized pancakes are less flavorful than the boxed pancake mix we get at the grocery store. The hash browns are mostly hard little sticks and the sausage is burned and dry. So bone-dry that the first piece stuck in my throat. It was not even good enough to bring home to the dogs. My husband said the Cowboy biscuit was okay but nothing that would make him want to go back and give the restaurant a second chance. The portions were too large, especially when the food wasn't tasty. It is WAY WAY overpriced. read more

Our server didn't have his mask on correctly. Also several of the servers had their masks off while at the counter. I saw a few of the servers and the manager move a rug with their gloves on and not change them. The servers went to tables without changing gloves after moving the rug. Food was delicious but I question the proper use of gloves and masks. I realize they are both very uncomfortable but these are the times we live in. read more

Very good food and staff was nice. My one piece of feedback is that the "to-go" set up for COVID-19 makes no sense. They literally made me come into the store and walk through the restaurant, thereby getting exposed and exposing others to germs. Saturday 11:00AM. Breakfast rush is over but still long waits with 8 clean tables available. Host staff confused. We had plenty of time to read the menu during the long wait. Server slow to get there but finally took our order. A couple who were seated after we ordered got their well done burgers several minutes before our biscuits and gravy and an egg dish. Most every time I come here I have a wonderful waitress but eggs (over medium) are never cooked properly.

Yumm! Just had the French toast with chocolate chips, bananas and peanut butter AND the pumpkin pancake that is HUGE! So tasty!

Fast seating and quick friendly service. The food is good and hot when served. Biggest complaint is the sausage gravy was lacking sausage and that's why I ordered it. I like that they use real eggs and not powdered like most restaurants. Kick up the sausage in the gravy and it's 5 stars. read more

Love The Big Biscuit and I especially love this location. I'm glad they finally got window shades because the sun would always be in our eyes while trying to eat. Most of the staff actually cares, which is great! Stopped there 4 weeks ago for lunch and was ignored by the servers. After 10 minutes, got up and left. Made the mistake of going back today at lunchtime. Was seated promptly and ignored again. After several minutes I flagged down a server. One lady took my drink order, and a moment later, a different server asked if I was ready to order, which I was, but she didn't have her scratch pad. I told her I just wanted the yardbird with hash browns and she said oh I can remember that. 10 minutes later, she returned with a chicken fried steak and eggs over easy, and when I said that wasn't my order, she starts arguing with me and showing me her scratch pad where I supposedly answered questions about the eggs etc. The people at the adjacent table heard my say yardbird, but this server was adamant that she was right. At that point I got up and said this server is whacko and I'm out of here. Don't walk by this dump, RUN. read more

The Big Biscuit is like a family away from family. They were busy and still met all my high expectations. I'm always happy with a Biscuit.

Its ok food is nothing special tastes caned and prepackaged service is mediocre and tea isn't good.

Only giving 2 stars because the food tasted good. We had a female older server this morning. I have never in my life had someone so condescending and unfriendly. She mocked me for not wanting eggs in my skillet, and when i ordered toast she goes "you DO know that eggs are in bread, right?" With a condescending smile. Lol. Have been here several times, and would normally give it three or four stars. HOWEVER, went there today and it was a big disappointment. Our waitress was AWFUL. Very slow, completely inattentive. Sat for over 15 minutes before she even showed her face at our table. We ordered drinks and placed our food order at the same time. Another 15 minutes went by and she never even brought the water and coffee. Complained to the hostess, who said she told the manager. The so-called waitress came by - apologized by stating we had completely slipped her mind - said she would get our coffee and water right away. Why didn't she bring it with her right then? Waited another 10 minutes or so. Nothing. People next to us who sat down after us (and had a different waitress) were almost done with their breakfast! We got up and left. I told the hostess we were leaving. She said "didn't she come over?" I told her yes, 10 minutes ago but still couldn't manage to bring coffee and water. The Manager must be a jerk, too. He should have come to our table when we complained. They do that in quality restaurants. Used to really like the place. May never go back. read more

I've been going to the 2 Big Biscuit restaurants in Overland Park for years. The Olathe location is NOT at the same level of food quality. The gravy is like white sauce with a sprinkling of sausage. The eggs are runny with no taste. The pancakes were rubbery and I could barely cut through them with a knife. The biscuits were the same as the other locations. I gave them a chance to get up to par but they aren't cutting it after 3 chances. If I want the Big Biscuit experience I'll go to the Overland Park locations. read more

Best breakfast place, better than ihop! Always go on sundays and it does it packed if you aren't there by 9am because of church goers. Get a loaded sticky bun and you will fall in love with it instantly!! read more

The food is not worth the wait. Go to Perkins instead. I've been to BB twice. The first time the food was good but it was probably because I was so hungry from waiting. The 2nd time, it was supposed to be 5 minutes to get seated. 20 minutes later, I watched people walk in and get a seated. I said screw it and went to Perkins down the road. This was my second time at this restaurant. First time I had the pork cutlet for lunch. It was okay but nothing spectacular. Glad to find a place that had Pork Tenderloin sandwich. Went there today for breakfast. I wanted to try the Chicken Fried Steak. Wish I hadn't. Tasted like I was chewing on card board. Very tough although the breeding on steak was good the meat itself wasn't. I had biscuits and gravy instead of toast which was really good. Both times the tea was really weak. I like stronger tea. Tea that taste like your drinking tea not flavored water. The eggs were as ordered but how hard is it to get eggs right. Both times I had mashed potatoes and like eggs not to hard to get wrong. The service both times was excellent. The restaurant was clean. It was just the food was mediocre to bad. I normally don't give bad reviews that is why I thought I would try them again before leaving a review. If I do go back there I will only order the B & G I don't think I will take a chance with my money on anything else. The B & G was excellent. Will drink water instead of tea. The wait staff and B & G is the only reason they got a three from me. read more

So come in and it's busy, good sign. Told it's a 15 min wait-even better. I get a text that our party of 6 is on the list at 9:30 am. We wait, 15 min passes and we have 2 parties ahead so we decide to wait longer. At 20 min we are next in line. Place looks ready, large tables open yet no text. I'm about to check with the hostess when a party of 5 large men get seated. I ask the guy why haven't we been called and these guys clearly come in after us and get seated. He says they have been here 20 minutes. well we've been here 30. About to leave because no biscuits are worth this. And no apology or anything from this kid-just attitude that this party had been waiting 20. Excuse me, this family of 6, with small kids has been waiting longer. They finally send a text at 32 minutes later. We'll see if this place is worth the wait. Probably wasn't. Added 1 star for the fast service from the kitchen and our waiter, but the food is not worth the wait IMO. read more

Seated on a Saturday within five minutes even though near capacity. Ask for server Miguel. He is professional, attentive and engaging. The food is good and consistent. The manager is truly concerned that all guests have a great experience. If you haven't, give them a try. read more
