The hostess and our server were great, however upon check in the General Manager, Rosevelt was incredibly rude to my husband and I. He seemed to be frustrated about something and decided to take it out on us. As we sat down, we couldn't help but notice him getting loud with the hostess telling him he's needs to do his job better. I came here on a whim because it was close to where I am staying this week. The Staff was incredibly friendly as soon as I walked in. Someone even came out to open the door for me as I walked in. I was seated right away and a server came on got my drink order immediately. I order the Chicken and Waffles. The order came out pretty fast, and I was really impressed with how it looked and smelled! Chicken was perfectly seasoned, crispy breading and piping hot. The Waffles were light and fluffy. It was quite possibly one of the best if not the best chicken and waffles I have had. I am here for another few days, and may go back again as I didn't get to try their famous biscuits. Big Disappointment with average biscuits. The wait has been 30+ minutes since opening on the weekends so we waiting to try it out. We lucked out when we went on a Sunday morning around 9am because we had no wait for a table of 4 but minutes later the lobby was packed. There were people waiting for larger parties. The menu had a variety of choices but reminded me of other chain breakfast eateries. The server was lacking in effort and personality but she was young, possibly this was his first job/inexperienced. Food was served rather quickly but presentation missed the mark. There was stuck-on cheese in the bottom of the grits bowl and when I grabbed my plate to rotate it my hands were slimed with grease from underneath the plate. Overall it was pretty good. The food was amazing and our server was as well. However there were some things that made my visit less enjoyable. My sister and I ordered the Haymaker and to our understanding, it came with a side. So we ordered sides. When we got the food finally after 20 mins and I don't have any fries under it or a biscuit. The misunderstanding finally settled and I got the rest of my food. My other sister ordered a chicken sandwich that came with mayo and honey mustard. Tried this place for the first time recently and it was ok. The interior design is open and spacious to where you don't feel like you're sitting in the next table's lap. The biscuits are humongous and I'm told they're pretty good. Unfortunately, I didn't taste one because my stomach wasn't feeling up to it that day. I ordered 2 chocolate chip pancakes, which I didn't like. The texture of the pancake mix was weird to me. I took a few bites and quit eating. My family ended up finishing it off for me. They were the size of a dinner plate so I doubt I would've finished them anyway. Their biscuits and gravy looked pretty good so if I return, I may try that. Me and my parents ate there and it was at AMAZING!! for an appetizer we shared the big biscuit which is a lot like a cinnamon roll. Then I ordered a waffle with fruit and my dad ordered a omelet. My waffle was perfect it came with syrup and butter on the side. It was cooked all the way too! Tried 20 times over 15 minutes. Please consider getting a second roll over number. When the phone gets left off the hook accidentally and the wireless handset is in the apron of the designated entry person, you are forcing us and, I assume others, to go elsewhere. The food and service are usually good at this location. I usually get the Country Benedict and really like it. I would not suggest dining after 11am because I've found their biscuits don't taste as fresh after this time frame. Same at every location. Specifically, they start to get hard and dry out. After posting my review of the Big Biscuit I was informed that it had been pulled by YELP for the content I had put into my review and for a complaint sent by "The Big Biscuit." So I am going to write a new one for you "Big Biscuit." I have thousands of views of my reviews each month. So let me put my experience of your restaurant in Olathe, Kansas in a way that will enlighten the "I wonder if I should eat there customer?" Have you ever gotten up on a Saturday morning and decided to try a new breakfast joint out? I had been waiting for the opening of this Big Biscuit for months and finally the day had come for me to enjoy shorter trip to a breakfast joint I use to like. It was almost midday and the place had already been open for over a week (I wanted to give them sometime to work the bugs out). Walking in I noticed that there was hardly any clientele. This should have been an immediate red flag. But knowing that they were new I just chalked it up to lack of promoting. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant I was greeted with a "good morning" that seemed like a "I hate my job." Being seated at a table that had enough food under it to make a booster seat out of, was strike two. Now I have a three strike you're out rule when it comes to dining. After waiting another 15 minutes to have my order taken I was greeted with "I didn't know they put anyone in my section, I was outside smoking." Trust me that is not what you want to hear when you're about to order your food. After scouring the menu for the "least handled item" I settled on the Big Breakfast. . After having to repeat my order three times I realized that my waitress was having a difficult time understanding me. See when my waitress said she was outside smoking (Per YELP I have to put this in a way that doesn't attack anyone) she failed to mention what she was smoking. While she was taking our order and was close to the table she smelled as though she had been partaking of the "Left handed kinda cigarette" ...In my opinion. Once our meals were delivered in what must be a new fad (cold) and with eggs that were maybe cooked at best and accompanied by bacon, sausage and a biscuit that I'm willing to bet came out of the plastic child kitchen set at Walmart you expect for management to recognize that it shouldn't be served but as busy as they were I guess I can see them overlooking such a small thing. After waiting for the gratuitous "how's your meal" that never arrived I had to flag down a supervisor to explain that eating eggs that looked like something that had escaped from "Fear Factor" just wasn't for me. While waiting for the return of the eggs, we were again greeted by our mysterious smelling waitress...with the check....yes the CHECK! Before the eggs made it back to the table. Maybe it was fortuitous, maybe it was some type of divine intervention that saved me from a third world disease that had no cure. I don't know but I feel better knowing I didn't have to audition for "Fear Factor." Now to YELP, I didn't know that you allowed yourselves to be controlled by businesses. I always thought that this was a way for the customer to share their experience with others. In fact, I remember reading an article that stated specifically that. When did you start selling out? And to "The Big Biscuit" I hope that this review is more to your liking because YELP can't take this review down without violating my first amendment rights....GOOD DAY SIR! read more

Having to pay ahead for a takeout order is sketchy. Seems like this location is struggling.

Visited several locations and always ordered an omelet with pepper jack cheese. Not until this location was I told they do not have pepper jack cheese, so it appears the other locations lied to me about having pepper jack cheese. Very disappointing and makes me sad that the lack of choice in breakfast places just got slimmer. I hate dishonest practices and places thst do not cater to customers.
