Mike and I treasure our weekend brunch date. It's something we prioritize every weekend. We really enjoyed our visit to The Big Biscuit today! The service was quick, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The restaurant is big! Plenty of seating. Our wait was only a couple of minutes, at 1:30 in the afternoon. The online waitlist was the right thing to do for our party of 6. The good: Our waitress Olivia was wonderful. She was pleasant, easy going and easy to work with and she checked on us often. The Bad: 50 minutes after ordering a manager came buy to tell us they had run out of biscuits and it would be another 12 mins. So an hour and 5 minutes after ordinary our food came out. The wife and I shared a Titanic which was tasty. The sis in law had an omelet that was not warm enough to melt the cheese. Other than our waitress thanking us for our patience- there was no acknowledgement of our delay. This wasn't a one table incident as we're were able to watch other tables as they came and received food. Other bad: the place was covered with flies. I kept my drink menu to constantly keep flies away from our table. (Other patrons had the same issue) also I don't believe their air conditioning is able to handle the 103° Kansas weather. It was very warm inside. The price is a little high but I don't know of anywhere else you can get a 4 egg omlette. I'd like to try another location for their chicken. read more

My son and I arrived around 10:50ish on Sunday June 28, 2026. Was added to the waitlist and an HOUR later waiting outside in the heat and humidity finally got inside. EXTREMELY LOUD inside, I don't usually mind loud places but could barely carryon a conversation with my son that was only 2 feet away from me. Ordered and 15 minutes later came the food. I had coffee in a carafe which was lukewarm at best and tasted like it was made and sitting out since 6:30... I still drank it though. I ordered Midwest scram-bowl and son had full biscuits and gravy. My scram bowl had more potatoes than anything and just realized the end of the day looking online at a menu that it had bacon I think there was a piece of rubbery bacon in there which I didn't taste and I think they definitely forgot the cheese because that didn't seem to be in there... bland, warm-ish and dry from the potatoes and nothing really stuck together, probably because they forgot the cheese. At least my son's biscuits and gravy was hot. Also, pay attention to menu prices and what you get charged, my meal on the menu said $14.29 i believe but the bill said $15.29 and didn't realize it until after my son paid. This might be a decent place to eat if you've already had breakfast earlier because this was my first meal of the day at 12:10ish as that was WAY TOO LONG to wait to eat, both my son and I were getting shaky from not eating sooner. Greta food and service. We went during the week and had no wait but tried again on the weekend oh boy! We were on the wait list for 1+30 and still never got seated. Had we not had plans we would have waited because the food is excellent. They have outdoor seating but a little chilly for February. Food was excellent and you get plenty of it. Prices are reasonable. We definitely like this place and cannot wait for the one to open in Derby. Despite the weekend waits I would recommend this place and also get there early. read more

Service! We were told a 5-20 minute wait. We waited 50 minutes and still no table. But yet there were tables empty! They didn't have enough staff was the issue!! So manager was telling them not to seat people!! We won't be back for a LOOOONNNNGGG TIME!! read more

Biscuits & Gravy, are supposed to be their specialty? I guess if you like them cold and watery they are great! McDonald's are far superior to these, don't waste your time or money. read more

Country fried chicken meal was delicious. my husband had the pancakes and they were also so good. we joined the waitlist and the wait was minimal once we showed up. If you haven't tried the big biscuit in Kansas City then now's your chance to try it in Wichita, KS! I had previously gone to the one in KC and it was one of the best breakfast/lunch spots I've visited by far. They recently opened this one in Wichita and I highly recommend it. The staff is super friendly and management is on top of their game. There are so many options for breakfast that you will definitely have to visit more than once to try it all. This time around I ordered the Nashville hot chicken & waffles and it was a 10/10. The chicken was super flavorful and the waffles had the right amount of sweetness. (I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture when it first came out) It was the perfect pick me up after a night of drinking lol If you haven't already stop by & try it out yourself. read more

I understand its just opened, we patiently waited over an hour to be sat. And when we were sat, we noticed a lot of empty tables around in the back. After ordering and getting our food when it came out it was cold, we didn't complain we just ate because after being there now at this point almost 2 hours we were hungry and ready to pay and go. Great food, friendly atmosphere. Only drawback is it's always packed, but there is an obvious reason... it's excellent.

So that was an awful experience, they were running ragged in that place, servers were stressed, they could not handle the work load. We waited an hour for a to-go order (there was another gal waiting for an hour on her to-go order) & online it said 10-15 minutes, no manager coming out to apologize for the wait, or give you any kind of compensation. To-go servers were not attentive at all. We had to ask multiple times. First off, I've been to The Big Biscuit in Lawrence, KS many times!! No concerns. If you can't handle the holidays and opening week at the same time, The Big Biscuit needs to hire extra help during opening week and train servers better. The to-go orders looked thrown together and over cooked, cold when picked up, it's awful. Look at these photos. The corned beef hash, I could hardly tell the difference between the hash and the hash browns. Not impressed. There are A LOT BETTER restaurants in Wichita that have REALLY GOOD QUALITY food and can handle a Saturday morning at 11am. read more

No food review because we left without eating. My husband and I went at 11am on a Monday hoping to try breakfast as we really enjoyed the restaurant when we lived in OP. Two ppl were waiting on a nearby bench and no hostess was present. After waiting several minutes, she came to the desk and never addressed us or even looked up at us. Instead she said, "Let me check. I think there might be a table for two now." I asked if she was speaking to us or the ppl on the bench. She said them and left. After a few more minutes someone else came up and asked for our name. She did not smile or welcome us. I asked how long of a wait it might be and she would not tell me until she put our name in the system. The ppl on the bench told me they had already been waiting 15 minutes and were still waiting. I looked around the corner to see if tables were open. They were busy but there were several empty tables. We chose to leave. I am hoping mgmt can remedy these problems. The food looked good but service is everything! read more
