Enjoyed a delicious lunch here. I had the 1/2 sandwich & soup. The jacked club was tasty and filling. I loved the tomato basil soup. Very cute presentation with homemade croutons on the spoon. Service was friendly. Will be back! What a cute place (plus the Big Store) and a great cause.

I was beyond thrilled to visit this remarkable place--it truly exceeded my expectations. This café and gift shop is a nonprofit vocational community dedicated to supporting adults with special needs. They craft an array of beautiful items, including pottery, specialty soaps, cards, jewelry, dog treats, cookies, fudge, granola, and pies. The interior of the café and gift shop was stunning, and I hardly knew where to begin describing its charm. **Café:** The setup is straightforward; you place your order at the register. I enjoyed a croissant sandwich filled with egg, bacon, and cheese, complemented by a cup of fresh fruit. My daughter opted for two breakfast tacos paired with a fruit cup. Their menu also features specialty coffee and drinks. The café ambiance is delightful, accompanied by great music. Outdoor seating is available on the patio for those who want to savor the weather. Alternatively, if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, you can grab your food to-go and head over to the Sunflower Room across the parking lot. This area offers additional seating both indoors and outdoors. The customer service was exceptional--friendly and welcoming. **Gift Shop:** I fell in love with it! There's a vast selection to explore, from faith-based items and gorgeous jewelry to clothing and children's goods. However, the handmade creations by the BIG citizens stole the show for me. Words can hardly do justice to how incredible these handcrafted items are. Each piece comes with a card introducing the artist behind it, making the experience even more meaningful. While the shop boasts other wonderful products, my focus was mainly on the BIG handmade creations. I couldn't resist buying a few treasures, including earrings ($15 each), trinket holders ($10 each), bracelets ($15 each), and a beautifully handcrafted card ($6 each). These items are not just stunning; they carry the unique stories of their creators and offer a sense of fulfillment knowing my purchases support them. After checking out, I discovered that the Sunroom features a gallery showcasing even more BIG artists' creations. I wandered over there and was blown away by the breathtaking pottery and other handmade items. If only I had a bigger budget--I wanted to take it all home! This will undoubtedly be my go-to destination for unique and meaningful gifts. I'm already looking forward to returning for both the café and the gift shop!

Great spot for a relaxed bite--loved the perfectly toasted sandwich and fresh sides. The cappuccino was smooth, showing real attention to quality. Simple, tasty, and definitely worth a visit.

What a beautiful concept. Great space, good labor, and a sweet atmosphere. I saw this place and wanted to visit months ago. Just today, I had the chance. I had breakfast, the parfait with the Big biscuit with jam and an Americano. I bought a pair of eco-friendly shades, and visited the "what looks like" a green house, but it's just the extension of the shopping area where I bought my dear friend a gift. They have opportunities to volunteer and spread the world. It's important to support local businesses but also get involved in the community and give your time for something that brings love and kindness to others. I'm glad I know about this place. Thank you for opening businesses like this!

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant today. I started by walking through the beautiful boutique, I can hardly wait to come back and spend some money here. They have beautiful Christmas items right now. We waited in a short line to be seated, the restaurant was busy. One of the ladies working took the time to find us a table while we were waiting in line, that was very kind because we did not ask her to do that. At this restaurant, one orders upfront and then sits down and waits for their food. They have a wonderful seasonal menu right now. I enjoyed a black bean, quinoa, sweet potato salad with a honey dressing and gluten-free bread on the side. I complemented this with some loose leaf, black tea, which was perfect. My husband had breakfast tacos, which were quite large and on flour tortillas; he enjoyed them very much. He topped them off with a Dr Pepper. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant, you just gotta come here.! Every time I visit this restaurant , it's absolutely splendid!

I can't believe I waited 3 years to eat here! What a fun and fabulous place! Amazing food, sweet service, and they have a gift shop to boot! The dining area consists of both indoor & outdoor areas, and there is shade. I ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich with the tomato soup and it was delicious!! The plating is very appetizing! If you are looking for a nice lunch give Big Kitchen a try! You won't be sorry!

I had the chicken Salad croissant and it was very tasty. The latte was excellent. We also tried the omelet which was prepared well. I would come back for the food alone, but the fact that all proceeds benefit a great cause make this a regular place for me to stop by and grab lunch with my sister and mom. I also want to add that this is the most welcoming cafe I have visited in Georgetown since moving to the area, they are very warm and welcoming. read more

This place was so Amazing!!! I love supporting small businesses that have a cause especially since my 8 year old son has Autism and to see how special this place is. The food was delicious I had the chicken salad with crackers and a side salad with a green smoothie! Yummmm I was jealous when my sister ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup I need to try it next time. Also I loved the shop they have it's such nice and quality items. read more

Absolutely adore this place! The cafe and gift shop are so cute and tastefully done. The food is absolutely delicious as well as the baked goods! We had the grilled cheese and berry salad with a cup of cream of tomato soup and it was all very good! How did we not know this place existed?! Excellence and attention to detail define the greatness that is BIG Cafe. I've eaten here two days in a row and was impressed both times I visited. I had both the chicken salad sandwich and the grilled chicken salad with pumpkin seeds. The veggies, fruit, and chicken were all extremely fresh and the croissant for the chicken salad was flaky yet soft. Don't forget to stop by their onsite store and greenhouse. I loved browsing through the many trinkets and large variety of succulents. Needless to say I was not disappointed and will definitely be returning. read more

You haven't lived until you taste their grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomato soup! It's the BEST tomato soup I have EVER tasted and the blend of cheeses and pesto on the grilled cheese was sublime! Absolute perfection! I have no photo bc I ate this during the Covid19 Crisis of 2020, outside al fresco which made the dining experience even better! read more

This place is so cute and VERY good. Great GF options that were extremely fresh and tasty. I had the crustless sweet potato quiche with a side of bacon and it was light, fluffy, savory with a hint of sweetness. Surely they grow their own lettuce in their greenhouse because that is the freshest salad I have had at a restaurant. I'm looking forward to coming back next week when I am in Georgetown being that there are hardly any GF restaurants worth a damn in Austin. read more

The peppermint mocha was on point! Delicious breakfast and the shop can totally get me into trouble:) nice location, easy to find. Their canvas prints in Holland window panes are unique. Staff is super friendly. I had the quiche and it was delicious! Hours are short at the cafe but worth the drive to have breakfast and get some shopping done. This is a wonderful place to eat in Georgetown, TX. It is very clean and not only is the food great -- you are supporting an incredible cause. I have only had lunch here but it was so very good. Fresh. Homemade. And, really nice customer service. There is also a nice little place to shop and you can buy unique items the workers make. Beautiful pottery and other nice kitchen items. The cafe is a wonderful place to grab coffee or a delicious lunch in Georgetown. There is a nice gift shop and a plant nursery attached, so you can knock out shopping at the same time and the "BiG" win is that your dollars are going to support the fantastic BiG organization. If you're ever in the area, stop by The Big Cafe, a Cafe with a BIG heart! They help individuals with special needs and there food was delicious. I'd rate a 10 if I could! I rarely get excited by restaurants. Mostly it's just a place to eat. But this place was more! You are immediately greeted by a beautiful building and gorgeous flowers. There is a precious gift shop full of various things. The cafe was very cute. Everything there was fresh and so nice. The food was delish too. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The organization that created the cafe works with special needs and it was wonderful seeing them helping in the cafe. The entire building was full of love and happiness. This place is in Georgetown which is only about 20-30 minutes from my home, but only for the first time visited at the tail end of a 2.5 week road trip. This area doesn't have many attraction or draws to it so haven't ever heard about this place. The idea here is really cool, they amplify a lot of people with special needs and support them through programs facilitated by this place. The place was really cute looking and had a beautiful theme inside of the building. The bathrooms were very clean as was the entire property. The service was very quick and we had our food in less than 10 minutes, so it is a good stop for something quick. They had multiple healthy items and there chicken was hormone free so it appears they place emphasis on eating clean. The only problem I had being such a big eater is that their meals were pretty small. Prices weren't bad so can't complain too much, but I left and I was still a bit hungry. Overall would return especially if I was looking for a lighter meal at the time. read more

What a find! Such a cute place for lunch! The proceeds go toward special needs adults in the Georgetown area. Such a great cause. The menu is small, but absolutely delicious items! I had the chicken salad on a croissant with a cup of poblano soup, which was amazing! My sister had the daily special, Asian quinoa with chicken, which was bursting with flavor. The prices are a bit steep for the portions but such a great cause. Their gift shop is unique and priced lower than I expected, which was very nice! We are going to make this our mew girl's luncheon spot. :-) read more

Service was good as usual. Except our server wasn't as attentive as they usually are. And my friend ordered one soup and she received another one. When she asked the server about it he said they were out of the one she ordered so they just gave her that one instead. They never even asked her they just switched it out. I thought that was odd. Anywho, I ordered the turkey Swiss croissant with a side of fruit for the first time. It was on the Sunday brunch menu. It was a bit too greasy for me so I won't order it again. My fave menu item Is the chicken salad on a croissant with a house salad and lemon vinaigrette. I'll probably stick to that from now on.

Looking around while I waited for my drink, I noticed a few people were there to study or were on their laptops. Hopefully, I will get to try their food one day. The inside is decently sized. A few tables are spread out so you aren't too close to someone, which is always great. It has a bright atmosphere to the place. The shop/restaurant also sells merch like shirts and coffee beans as well.

But, having been served 'day old' bakery at full price more than once, as if these are premium items, is a bit distressing bc it erodes trust. Consumer loyalty is earned not just from service, but trust built from expectation the cash we're spending is for something of equal value. Lately, that measure of standard has not been met which is sad, considering this is such a cool little Cafe at which to enjoy one of the #SweetLemonKitchen's famous #CinnamonRolls, #FruitScones, &/or #ChickenSalad sandwiches. Losing $13-22 per person per visit isn't good business, & hope you will make the decision to rectify this in the future: If you're going to sell 'day old' bakery, then give the consumer the option to pay 'half price' for the old item or full price for 'fresh baked'... which would be equitable & ensure trustworthiness, #imho ;)

At Big Cafe, I had the pleasure of enjoying a fresh and flavorful avocado toast that was a perfect balance of creamy and rich, while the quiche had a beautifully crispy exterior, complemented by a tender and savory filling. Both dishes were simply delicious and clearly prepared with care and attention. To top it off, the coffee was brewed just right, hitting the spot without overpowering the meal. What makes this experience even more meaningful is that everything is prepared by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), showcasing their talents and dedication. The service was warm and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, whether you're out with family, bringing your dog along, or catching up over a conversation. The pricing is on par with the area, so you're getting great value for not only the quality of the food but also for supporting a wonderful cause. Big Cafe also operates as a non-profit, featuring an adorable selection of items in their store that are hard to resist. BiG Cafe & Shop is one of those places that feels good to support -- friendly staff, clean space, and good eats. I had their breakfast taco and the breakfast crescent, both came with a fresh fruit cup, and everything tasted homemade and comforting. The atmosphere is warm, with a gift shop attached where you can browse interesting local items while you wait.
