Took 10 minutes to get my coffee, absolutely no refills offered, Coke was watered down and flat. I inspected the condiments on the table and took a closer look at the sugar by then the "possible owner" noticed I was inspecting the sugar and stated it is real sugar even though it was discolored "not white sugar, possible raw sugar". I wasn't judging the sugar, just looking at it while I was waiting for my waitress to come and take my order which took a long while. Poor service and criticism for looking at the sugar definitely earned a 15% tip and 3 star review. ** Additionally in response to the owner, yes I had a clock right in front of me and was able to watch the exact time of things. No he did not personally fill my coffee cup, a waitress did. If he calls badgering me anout the sugar and attempting to get me to taste it is small talk, then he should really reevaluate his people skills. Yes the food my husband ordered was eaten, and I shared the rest of my plate with my husband. I ate my biscuit, bacon, and egg whites. Sauce was perfectly seasoned and homemade as well. 2. The manager greets every customer with a warm, genuine friendly smile. 3. Coffee was perfect. 4. Service was punctual, friendly, and accurate. 5. We were in town last weekend to have work done at a local business. Based on the great reviews we chose to have breakfast here. We tried 2 specialty biscuits, the Farmer - potato, egg, & cheese and the Marsha - egg white, spinach, tomato & swiss and were disappointed with both. Neither had enough flavor. With the Farmer, the potato seemed to be a deep fried frozen hash brown patty and the cheese was more like Cheez Whiz than real cheese. The Marsha was bland and dry, had to wash it down with coffee otherwise it felt like it would stick in my throat. On top of that, they were half-baked with their safety precautions. Only half of the staff were wearing masks, and they were working in crowded conditions. I understand that they may not currently have a lot of Covid cases in the area, but there are a lot of hot spots within an hour or so drive, so anyone walking in could be infected and not know it. We come from one of those areas, so wore our masks on our way in & out to protect our fellow citizens. The owner walked through & stopped at each table several times to check on things, which in normal circumstances is great, but he was not wearing a mask and in the current circumstances, increases everyone's risk of exposure. At one point, he was standing in the doorway, talking to people who were sitting on the other side of the dining area we were seated in. All of us seated in between, not wearing masks because we were eating, could have been exposed. We went to 3 other restaurants during our stay, and they all did a much better job making us feel that they were doing their best to keep their employees and customers safe. read more

Stopped in for a quick brunch late on a Saturday morning. We were welcomed immediately and brought to a table, even though the diner was pretty busy. Food came out pretty quickly, and my friends and I were very happy. One said it was the best country fried steak he'd ever had! The biscuits are huge and soft and delicious, but nothing amazing. Everything was wonderful. Then, my mother in law asked for a coffee refill. Waitress said she was getting it. 5 minutes went by, said waitress was still standing talking to other guests. Said something to the owner and low and behold he decided that his waitress was not in the wrong for standing around conversing with other guests while people who have never been here sit waiting for coffee they had asked for 5 minutes earlier and became rather rude.
