We landed here quite by accident, and boy are we happy we did. Our meal and the service was nothing short of fantastic. They seated us without a wait (a rare occurrence in Cape May). We started with the poo poo platter because we could not decide among all the delicious appetizer choices. Every thing on the platter was DELICIOUS! Then we had the Stilton salad and halibut and risotto entree, which was cooked to perfection. Lastly, we had room for some delicious cappuccino and dessert. I had the creme brûlée (outstanding) and my daughter had the chocolate torte. Can't say enough about this place. The service was outstanding snd the food was simply delicious. Can't wait to return!

The food was absolutely excellent. Went here with my husband on vacation and we got the Angry Calamari and Ahi Poke as appetizers. The angry calamari had a great balance of flavor and a subtle spicy heat that was delicious. The Ahi poke was wonderfully balanced and light, with a great mix of textures sure to the crispy wontons. For entrees, we got the salmon and the Yakiniku. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor, though the noodles were unnecessary. The Yakiniku, which was a ribeye steak cooked medium rare was probably the best steak I've eaten. It had the perfect char from the grill and a delightful flavor (maybe miso?) Definitely recommend, as it's a perfect dinner and depending on when you go, you can catch the sunset at sunset Beach right afterwards.

We enjoyed our dinner here. BYOB. The decor was very simple. Nice flavors w Asian influence. We really liked the duck breast. No printed dessert menu but waitress was very knowledgeable about options. Small parking lot but easily managed a spot early evening.

This was a wonderful find! First the staff is sooo friendly helpful. Very conscientious about keeping everyone safe with covid. The owner is the chef and what a chef he is!!! The food is fantastic! And under the circumstances the ambiance is wonderful. Outdoor dining was so nice with the benefits of love music from Exit Zero! Lol highly suggest a visit!

Overall a solid cozy option, albeit on the expensive side, for American cuisine with a slight Asian inspired flare! Ordered the crab cakes ($35) and halibut ($38) which were both delicious. This is also one of the few places in Cape May I noticed that set up adequate social distancing measures and with a nice outdoor dining ambiance.

Reservations seem highly recommended because it seems most people came here with one. It's fine dining (price-wise - very reasonable for fine dining). It's also BYOB -- like the name says. I loved every moment of this. Service was very attentive and professional. I did feel worried that I was a bit underdressed because I had tennis shoes on, but it was not an issue. It is not a huge restaurant, but it's elegant and definitely meant more as a special night out than a casual spot. If you are looking for seafood options, look no further than here. If you want to impress someone, take them here. Now, onto the food. The bread is complimentary and we ate it all (along with our refill). The butter was freshly made, I believe. I had the winter prix fixe menu and my sister ordered à la carte. Their prix fixe and tasting menus tend to change quite often so it'll always be interesting. My sister ordered the Spanish octopus (1st course) and the Scottish Salmon. I had some of her octopus and salmon. They were both such well-made dishes. We would definitely order the octopus again. Chewy and delicate. I had the arancini, fra diavolo, and the chocolate tart. It was absolutely delicious. The arancini were small, but it was still well filled with tiny bites of clam. The fra diavolo was also very good and filling. Plenty of seafood to go around in that dish. Spicy too, which I like. At the end, we shared a chocolate tart -- and I must say, we were already full at this point. The chocolate was rich and the pistachio ice cream was perfect. We will definitely be back.

We started with the caprese salad, which was fresh and exactly what you want from a starter, followed by the summer corn soup, which was comforting without feeling heavy. The standout was the special New York strip. It arrived beautifully cooked, tender and flavorful. Service was equally strong by being attentive without being overbearing. The one misstep was the rigatoni, essentially a truffle mac and cheese with mushrooms and shaved truffles. On paper, it sounded promising, especially paired with a steak. In practice, it was overwhelmed by garlic to the point that the garlic eclipsed nearly everything else. There was also surprisingly little rigatoni pasta; the dish was dominated by mushrooms. We wouldn't order the pasta again, but that's a relatively minor complaint for an otherwise excellent meal. Grana is absolutely worth a return visit and there's plenty on the menu that we'd happily order again. It gets a relatively older crowd, but I don't mind if that food is good.

They were really gracious and service was perfect. The byob element I personally love (bring what you want and pay normal rates for it) but I could see how this could be problematic for vacationers not prepared. The glassware was beautiful - one of my pics shows it. The atmosphere is very pleasant - a little romantic, a little modern but all in all perfect for an anniversary dinner - we had a corner table with bench seating so we could snuggle :) We chose three apps because it was early and we thought we'd hit another place late. These two are the duck wings and the crispy shrimp. Both delicious but the wings VERY good. We also had a swordfish crostini done on a crispy won ton and we both liked that very much. Pricing seemed reasonable. I'd recommend.

We had some ordering confusion which impacted my experience a bit. Overall the appetizers far out performed the seafood, which given were at the beach, was a bit sad. The wings were tasty. The stand out was the K&B salad which had great dressing. Loved the hot/cold contrast between the flash fried Brussels and the kale salad. I had the scallops- average and with quite a bit of grit. The carrots it came with seemed boiled and again relatively flavorless. My husband had the sea bass but unless you got some of the very minimal sauce it was plated with, it was fairly bland. I didn't even sense salt and pepper. For the price point, I wouldn't rush back for dinner but might try another meal.

As always, the menu leaned hard into what looked best at the market and we were super lucky with Colossal crab and Chilean sea bass. We started with the Goat Cheese Salad (a menu mainstay that is completely worth it) and the mushroom caps stuffed with Crab Imperial (two caps, not huge, but big chunks of crab and great flavor) and chose the Chilean Sea Bass with key lime tequila drizzle and macadamia nut crust and Crab Imperial for entrees. Sea bass drizzle was a flavor bomb and the fish stood up to it (picture doesn't do it justice). Rice didn't need the peppers (personal bias) and I didn't need the mixed veg but I hoovered down the fish and rice. Crab Imperial supersized the appie teaser and continued with the Big Crab Energy! Super rich and very retro, the photo was a couple of bites in when we started fighting about whose meal was best. Dessert was key lime pie the way my grandmother made with the meringue mixed in with the curd. A fabulous treat. Space is small (you may wait for your table outside) and can be loud due to jocularity but worth the stop.

While I'm a parent too, some kids don't belong at a restaurant like this and can spoil a special occasion dinner. Service was good but noticeably slower as our server coped with the larger sized parties (8-10 people). We were acknowledged for our anniversary which was nice, but the proximity to these large parties was not appreciated. The large dining room area here is loud and the silver walls are tacky. Appreciated a quieter table last year in one of the more intimate, quieter areas of the restaurant. While I still love this restaurant, removing a star for the reasons stated.
