My server, Emily, was very friendly and suggested some of their specials - pork tacos and caramel drizzled beignets - which were absolutely delicious! Food is really good when it's good. Lots of turnover a month ago or so, so some rough edges. Some of the staff were incredibly nice (hats off Tommy and Butler and woman at the front) some not (anonymous manager). 'Red royal' (low country bowl) great, wings were skinny, fried shrimp was unexpectedly spicy, pork taco was tasty but not well trimmed.... Mocktails charged as if they had alcohol so ask for the booze on the side to give someone else ($11 for a mocktail???) Soda refills not free. No printed menu so our poor waiter had to repeat it 6-8 times for all of us to understand, and still a few specials not mentioned. PERFECT location, great place to watch the sundown! Stopped by Sunday for lunch after early church. It was warm out so decided to sit inside. Place was nice and on a cool day the outside would be beautiful but decided to sit inside. Ordered the Smash Burger as they touted it as "award winning" and it came with fries. The burger was pretty good and so were the fries. My only complaint is that the menu is sparse if you don't eat seafood. About the only options other than seafood were a salad or the one smash burger, no chicken, steak or anything. Anyway, the burger came with pickles and grilled onions at $16. I would have like to have a few options at that price like grilled jalapeños, pimento cheese, goat cheese or something to elevate it. For what it was it was good though. The service was good and fairly attentive, no complaints there. Overall I would say a good 3.5 due to the very limited menu but not bad if you are looking for something they have. read more

We took a good friend out to eat here last night. We had high expectations. Location is 5+ stars. It ends as soon as you get your food. The Ruby Reds were awful. Spongy and very fishy, the salad was all lettuce with a couple of tomato chunks and a few slivers of onion. The Parmesan oysters were old, small and mostly Parmesan cheese. Plus, when we walked in someone was mopping up a lot of water. I said it looks like you had a water problem. The staff said they were only keeping the place clean???? Mopping the floor during peak hours?? Really strange. I feel very sorry for the owner. This location is awesome and so should the food....It's sad all the surrounding construction has devastated the potential of the establishment. Very excited for the opening of this Bay St. Louis favorite in the Fairhope Pier! We were greeted and seated in the dining area and could view some of the fresh food prep. We sampled the Pickled Shrimp that was so fresh and spiced perfectly. Next up was the seared Ahi Tuna, kissed with Wasabi sauce, sirrachara, and seaweed salad. The smoked Tuna Dip was delicious (and thankfully made it home for a late night snackl). We also ordered the Taco of the Day, which was 2 fried Grouper tacos topped with a super food slaw - very excellent! We ended with the Conch Fritters, which were FULL of fresh Conch - no skimping! We are local's, so as every good Fairhope person does when a new restaurant opens they flood the place, which doesn't create a soft opening for the restaurant. Well, TBT has managed the chaos well. We have been twice now and love it. We haven't gone too crazy on the limited menu, but everything we've tried has been fantastic. Royal Reds, which I love almost anywhere are well seasoned and come in a boat dish with corn and potatoes. Delicious. Raw Oysters - These were sourced around Dauphin and had great flavor. The horseradish was fresh and delicious. Grilled Oysters - Seasoned with parm, garlic and sausage. Yummy! Kids chicken fingers and fries - our daughter ate them all and we ate the fries which were nicely salted. We are beer and wine people and they had a nice selection and were each able to find something we liked. Service - the first night we went we had to wait about 30 minutes. We just walked up and down the pier enjoying the sunset. The hostesses were very friendly. Waitress was attentive and friendly even though she was jamming with a bunch of tables. Our second time we went we sat at the bar and both bartenders were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The management at TBT has found a great group of people and has done a good job at training. Now for the fun stuff. The atmosphere of this place is awesome. It is actually on the Fairhope pier so you are surrounded by the water, seagulls and boats. It's what the eastern shore is all about. The inside is casual with TVs and fun fishing pics. There is a lot of outside seating to enjoy the scenery and the sunset. The bar is really well designed splitting the inside and outside. If I had one negative it would be that the ice cream is pre-packaged and is as hard as a stone, but once it dethaws it's delicious. We will definitely be going back. read more

I sooo wanted to love this restaurant. The location is fabulous and they have had multiple challenges with their opening and the ongoing construction at the pier. The first visit we had the Royal Reds. I don't know what they did to those poor shrimp but they were awful. They were limp? Not sure how they got that way but they were no good. I figured it was just working out the newness of the place. Several months later went back for a second time and ordered the Grouper tacos. Well, first of all they were not grouper. Grouper is a thicker fish, I was presented with 2 very thin pieces of dried out COLD fish. Terrible. My friend odered the shrimp tacos. They were RAW!! We both complained and got NO response from the wait staff. I will not eat there again. read more

Man, we really wanted to like this place. We gave it a second try months after opening, and it sadly was not any better. I'll start by saying our server was very nice and on top of things, but at one point, a guy came by saying there was a shift change and he'd be our server. She continued to come back, so that was confusing. There was drama, once again, at the host stand, with people accusing other people of taking their stuff and arguing over sections. I ordered a salad that came with no dressing, and when I asked for some, she said "we only have ranch. There's no vinaigrette" which is what I had ordered. The salad was sad, the rice in rice and beans was not at all cooked and my son's quesadilla was black on the outside because they're not properly cleaning their grill. I joked with my husband that I should probably call John Taffer on the way out. Very disappointed, as we're locals who enjoy a meal out and have tons of visitors. read more

Glad to see this place finally open in Fairhope. Parking is a challenge just like any other place in downtown Fairhope, but it's a great venue for fresh seafood and ambiance is great on the water. This place will only get better as it evolves, and will be a go to spot outside when the temperature cools down. We had some Royal Reds, Grouper Tacos and dessert. Had some nice wine, really good draft beer ( Cahaba) and can't wait to come back. If you have anyone in your party that has trouble walking, I suggest bringing a wheelchair. Fairhope. the food was good, but......i ordered a glass of the "house" cab. Later in my meal, I ordered a second glass. House wine is supposed to be the least expensive pour. Imagine my surprise when I was charged $22.00 per glass. $44.00 total for two glasses of house wine. I won't be going back.
