Would've gone 4 1/2 stars if available. Got some smoked wings and a bunch of sides. The wings were good, but the sides were the standout to me. The cornbread, mac and cheese, and truffle farm fries were all bomb. Service was 5 stars as well. Didn't think I could find good bbq on the Cape - but this spot showed me otherwise. Would def return when/if in the area.

I had another wonderful lunch here! The kale salads are amazing and the wings are crispy and delicious. Service couldn't be any better and the people are very friendly here. Consistently delicious food.

I love the name! Block & Tackle....sounds like a great place to watch some college and NFL football! We were able to visit while in Eastham for vacation! Upon entry, we were welcomed and shown to a booth and immediately asked what we wanted to drink. It was a great way to start! We looked at the menu and all of us made our decision for dinner rather quickly! Our drinks arrived and we placed our dinner order. I the smoked chicken plate with cornbread and fries. We also ordered a veggie burger and a cheeseburger one with fries and one with tater tots. As a side dish, we wanted to dry the coleslaw, which was rated a 10 by the two who tried it! Dinner arrived on-time and it was delicious. I had the chicken plate, which was tasty. The cornbread was awesome and the fries were great. I was happy for sure! The cheeseburger plate and veggie burger were rated very high by both parties who finished the entire plate. We were thinking about having some desert but eventually decided against it. The bill came and we were pleased with the total. Very fair Parking- ample Service- awesome Food- tasty Both Indoor and Outdoor places to eat One suggestion: use smaller trays to deliver food so it doesn't look like there is not enough food.....just my 2 cents! We did not stop in the bar....although, I did look in on the way out and the Red Sox were on......as I mentioned earlier, probably a great place to watch some football or sports on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday! Block & Tackle is open year-round, as well 5 stars from me! Great stop and I plan to be back!

We love this year around gem! Whether you decide to belly up to the bar or enjoy the wonderful outdoor picnic table, either way you're in for a special treat! We like to start our meal with one of their perfectly measured , well balanced cocktail! Just like you would find in any high-end cocktail bars but better, cause you're in the cape! So many great meal options, including combo plates with the very best moist smoked meats. Including chicken, pulled pork, sausage and our favorite ribs. Their sides are really good too. If you're lucky they have their homemade potato salad. Which is probably some of the best I've ever tasted. On this particular night, my husband and I shared a full rack of ribs with a side of beans and potato salad. Simply delicious. This is a family run establishment with a well-trained staff. Highly recommend you stop in for lunch or dinner. Or you can order and take it home and eat it on your own picnic table. Either way you won't be disappointed.

Went in for a drink and some fried chicken and it was phenomenal! The chicken was juicy and hot and the mashed potatoes and gravy were amazing too. The people are so cool too

You can not miss the smoker outside! This is a hidden gem not yet been discovered by phantom gourmet! Friendly staff willing to go over and above to help you. Thursday's wine was corked for our return to Wellfleet Hotel (hop, skip, or walk but come here).

The order was ready when I arrived. They did so well under pressure and the sandwiches were generous and well done and so enjoyable. My order was ready for our beach trip and they were all so kind. The cookies for dessert and the wonderful veggies that can be added were great. They were generous with the meat. They have a line for ordering and a line for paying. But they don't let you pay until your sandwich is done. So when it's busy what happens is your sandwich is done and then you have to get in a long line and wait when you could've been paid and out of there. Only way to counter this is to order online which you don't always think to do. Annoying problem that could easily be solved with common sense. There's also always like 15 people working and they still take a while to make your sandwich even if they're mildly busy. Then, like everyone else they flip around the iPad on you and ask you for a 25% tip while people are behind you in line also waiting for their sandwiches that have been sitting there for 10 minutes

The place is set up like a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. When we walked in they had their radio set on a Christian station praising all kind of Christian ideology for all to hear. When we walked in, the lady behind the counter just looked at us with no welcoming smile nor attitude. I said Good morning and I got a slight smile from her. I then asked if they had any diabetes friendly items on the menu....She said...I don't know what that means ????!???!?! How can you work in a restaurant and not know what diabetes is ??? I then said, items with low sugar content. She still said, I don't know. So I decided to order a salad. Their Basco Salad was described as a bed of fresh greens and a nice Lomo on top. The salad came up fairly quickly and it was delicious. The boneless pork loin was well seasoned and warm. The greens were fresh and well balanced. I liked the food, but the stern long face of the lady as well as her inability (or un-willingness) to help made me drop one star out of my experience.

Apparently, the owner wanted to re-focus on that part of the business. *shrug* I used to come here around opening and see a lengthy line. The croissants are some of the best in the area. The plain croissant is flaky and light. The ham & cheese croissant is more of a croque monsieur and it's a pretty substantial offering, full of cheese, ham, and béchamel sauce. The individual tarts (lemon, raspberry, etc.) and cakes are beautifully designed and are appropriately sweet. The tart crusts were legit. I'll miss coming here for pastries/desserts. I ended up with a half dozen Wellfleet oysters, which were substantial (2 year olds?), fresh, and briny -- exactly what you want in a Wellfleet. The only downside: They came with a lot of shell bits in the brine. I get that these oysters are hard to shuck since they have those rough, irregular shells (a result of being buffeted by the rough waves in this area). But I can do a better job when I have my good shucking knife on me and I am far from an expert shucker. A Caribbean fish soup / stew was also quite enjoyable, though my impolite and poorly-brought-up progeny made gagging noises when I opened up the container of soup in the car. I guess he thought it smelled unpleasantly fishy. :) He did quite enjoy a creme brulee we found in a refrigerated case in the market, however. Pleasant outdoor seating; delicious-looking menu (some of which isn't as ridiculously overpriced as it is in much of the Cape); pristinely fresh seafood; and super nice staff. But I was a little surprised by how long it took for us to receive the soup, which presumably had already been prepared, when it wasn't busy at all. (I think it took about 15 minutes!)
